It Figures

Yes it figures that Suzie and Scott Nevins would be having a cow. Both of them were very upset with Barry's interview he did for Fox News program OBJECTfied. Why because Barry lied during the one hour program. How did Barry lie well he didn't tell the truth about his sexual orientation. When he was asked about his sexual orientation Barry told Harvey Levin he was straight. Which he was not according to Suzie and Scott Nevins he had always been gay. Suzie said she always knew from the moment she was introduced to Barry that he was gay. Nothing was off limits when it came to topics. Barry told Harvey that he hadn't hid anything from anyone. My mom in fact got asked a lot about me being gay. "Oh come on now be honest. Your son Barry Manilow is gay?" My son Barry is not gay my mom said. Does everyone who is single have to be gay? Edna asked in an interview with People Magazine. In that interview my mom mentioned that my first name was actually Barack which was a Jewish name. She told the People interviewer that her son grew up an orthodox Jew. Both her parents Joseph and Esther were orthodox Jews. Saturday mornings were spent going to synagogue. Which I've been doing since I was a little kid. My mom knew I was way too young to get married when my high school girlfriend Susan and I decided to get married. I was twenty and Susan was nineteen when we got married. The reason we eloped is because our parents were fighting about the wedding. At the time my parents were helping out my mom's parents. They really did have the money to help Susan's parents with their daughters wedding. Susan's parents wanted the big fancy Jewish wedding for their daughter. They figured my parents would help them pay for it. A year and five months after we were married I left Susan. Susan wanted a nine to five husband who stayed home after he got off work. Well that wasn't me I didn't stay home after I got off work from CBS. I went to the Thirteenth Street Theatre to work with Bro Harold and everyone there. I tried to get Susan interested in that. But no such luck. In November of nineteen sixty-five I asked Susan for a divorce. Susan wasn't happy about that at all. In the beginning she wouldn't give me anything. After she calmed down she let me have the rest of the stuff I brought with me when we got married. I ended up moving to a studio apartment in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. The apartment had a partial wall between the sleeping area and living room. In the sleeping area I had a large closet. The kitchen, dining and living were all in one space. The bathroom was a separate room. Later on I moved to the lower eastside and a one bedroom apartment. After that apartment I moved to the west side into a condominium across from Central Park. Then I moved to the west coast. I rented the house with the dancing waters first. Then I bought the house in Bel Air. I did go down to Palm Springs where I rented the Kaufman house. I then bought my own home. Sold that one and bought the one in the Mesa neighborhood. I sold the house in the Mesa to Brian Murphy fourteen years ago. I discovered I was spending more time traveling  between Palm Springs and New York. That is why I sold the house. Suzie and Scott Nevins were not happy I sold the house and moved back east to New York. However I sure was glad I moved back to the east coast. I decided to move back to Brooklyn. The real estate agent I found showed me a bunch of homes in different neighborhoods. But when she showed me the townhouse at 96 1/2 Hicks Street I knew I'd found my forever home in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. It has five floors a garden floor, parlor floor second master floor third floor and fourth floor. The fourth floor was perfect for my new at home recording studio. I have two extra bedrooms on the third floor for guest who come to visit. I could have rented the garden floor out. But I decided not to. I use the living space down there as a family room. After I married Carly the bedroom on garden floor became her computer/ Barry Manilow room.  I've done some renovating. I remodeled the master bathroom. Got rid of the master bathtub and made the shower even bigger. The parlor floor kitchen remodel was just finished. All the rooms have been painted by me and Carly. The deck off the living room was redone. The backyard got a makeover. I put in a small greenhouse for my vegetable garden over in the left back corner of the backyard. I am centrally located to a lot of things a great bagel/coffee shop the subway into Manhattan. The Brooklyn Bridge so if I can walk across the bridge to Manhattan.Great places close by dog park, parks for people, restaurants, grocery store, shops, fitness club and ETC. So I'm glad I moved back to New York City. Sorry Suzie and Scott Nevins but I am never moving back to Palm Springs. I remember when I still had the beach house in Malibu.. I invited some of my pals for fourth of July weekend 2009.  I invited my pals Garry Kief, Brian Murphy, Gregory Knoffler, Marc Hulett, Andy McKenna, Marty Panzer, Ench Anderson, Bruce Sussman and Rob Shuter. Brian was the one who asked me if he could invite Kye Brackett, Scott Nevins and Rick Travis. I said sure even though I didn't want Scott Nevins there. I told Garry  before everyone arrived that Scott Nevins was way to creepy. In fact he crawled all over me that weekend. Scott loved to go wherever I went. That was even way more creepy to me. That's why my girlfriend Gabby Barrett was uncomfortable being around Scott Nevins. He made sure that he was always super close to me and kept Gabby as far away from me as he could. That's why If you see any photos on Pinterest of three guys on the beach. That's Kye Brackett, Scott Nevins and Brian Murphy.  Brian Murphy is the  skinny toothpick in the black tee shirt and blue jeans. If I had been in those photos taken by the paparazzi you would have seen my legs. I was wearing denim shorts to my knee, a tee shirt and my Adidas athletic shoes that day. At 6'0" and 165lbs I look good in shorts so I can show off my legs. That was how I lost my last LA girlfriend Gabby. Gabby hated being around Scott Nevins. She told me he kept staring at her whenever he was around us giving her an evil look. It was after that weekend that I told Garry that I was going to sell the Malibu beach house. I also told him why I was going to sell it. Garry said he didn't blame me for selling it or for permanently moving back east. When I came back to finish up the paperwork on selling the house. Garry told me Scott Nevins really gave Gabby a hard time. Scott told Gabby that I used her as beard to cover up my homosexuality. Also to cover up the fact that he and I were a couple. Things had quieted down for a while until I started dating Dr. Carly Nichole Simon doctor of veterinary medicine. Once Scott figured Carly and I were serious about each other that's when he went after her. Something I didn't like at all. I let Scott know what I thought of him going after Carly like that. I told Carly how I felt about what Scott Nevins was trying to do to her. Now the only time Carly got scared was when the paramedics showed up at our door.  Said tat they had been called to 96 1/2 Hicks Street. Because of some crazy woman who was disturbing the neighbors. The caller claimed the woman was mental insane and needed to be put into a insane asylum. Scott then said she needs to be locked up for good. Garry follows Scott's blogger account. Garry said he saw in graphic detail what Scott thought should happen to her once she were institutionalized. Garry that what Scott said was something me and Carly didn't need to know about. Garry did give the URL to Scott's blogger account to my attorney Jack McCoy so he could see what Scott posted. I can only guess that what Scott Nevins posted there wasn't something me and Carly didn't need to see.

Hello It's Me Again.

 

Now while I was over on Google+ I saw some grumbling fans. Garry who still has his Facebook account saw fans grumbling over there too. The grumbling started because there are actually two different covers for my book. The main difference is the background. One background is dark and one background is light. Other than that the photo of me and the font style is the same on both. I didn't add anything else to either of the autobiographies so you have to buy both books with different covers. UK fans have I got a surprise for you. Guess who's coming to the UK in January? Yours truly me Barry. I've scheduled four book signings for my autobiography Williamsburg. These are the four UK cities where I'll be signing books. Wednesday January 3rd Glasgow La Scala Cinema, Friday January6th Manchester Deansgate, Monday January 8th Liverpool College Lane, Wednesday January 10th Nottingham Bridlegate and Friday January 12th London Waterstone. The book signings will start at exactly one pm and go until everyone gets their book signed by me. David and I decided to give each person three minutes with me. Now I will be up for hugging and kissing ladies. If you get an extra copy for someone else. Have their name on a piece of paper so I can sign that other copy to them. I can already hear the screams with this next surprise. It's the O2 on 1/13 and 1/14. What did he just say O2 that's the arena in London where a lot of entertainers preform. We have Saturday January 13th and Sunday January 14th which is the second weekend in January. OMG! Does that men what we hope it means Barry? That your doing two concerts at the O2 in January of next year. Yes it does mean just that I am doing two concerts next year. I'll be bring my Williamsburg Tour across the pond for all you UK fans. For those of you UK fans across the pond who didn't come to the US to see my new show. I rearranged a few of my songs. I started out the show with the Ray Charles gospel version of It's A Miracle. I gave Brooklyn Blues a more jazzier feel. I took the song I wrote a song based on the Chopin Prelude In C Minor and kicked it up a notch. Brian Murphy did his own romantic version of the song. Donna Summers did a disco version of the song. Take That did an up tempo version of the song. Then Brian did his own up tempo version of the Take That version complete with BAMS. I thought Barry why not go for it. So I went for it and I  created my own up tempo version of Could It Be Magic including BAMS. Only my version of Could It Be Magic complete with BAMS is much better than Brian version. Why because I know how to do better BAMS. Also you'll get not one, not two but three studs for the price of one. Me, Billy Kidd and Kion Harris. Ok UK fans you are free to scream at the top of your lungs. David had the contract for me to sign. So I put my Barack Manilow signature on the contract and David faxed Kennedy Street Enterprises Ltd the signed contract. Tickets go on sale this Monday October 9th at 10AM eastern time 3PM London time. US fans bet read to set your DVR's next Sunday October 15th I'll be on the  Fox News program called OBJECTfied hosted by Harvey Levin. OBJECTfied airs at 9PM eastern time on Fox. Then it repeats at 12AM and 3AM.  I'm being interviewed at Brooklyn Sound Studios in Williamsburg. Where I recorded my Night Song, Keep Each Warm, Something's Coming Up, Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) and Williamsburg albums.  This is a no holes bared interview. No topic were off limits. I know that Suzie and Scott Nevins are not going to like this interview with Harvey Levin. As you most likely can guess it's because I'm not going to admit that I'm gay that's going to upset them. Both those two want me to admit I'm gay when I'm not. Even my mom knew her son wasn't gay. She knew her son was too squeaky clean to be gay. That meant I never hid anything from anyone even you fans. Why would I do that. I'm not Brian Murphy who thought the fans would leave him if he came out of the closet and admitted he was gay. For the rest of you fans who don't live here in the US. UK Christmas and New Years concerts late December 2018 to early January 2019. If you live in the New York City area. Saturday October 21st. is the grand opening of Charlie's Rescue Shelter. Charlie's Rescue was named after Charlie Carly's rescue beagle. Carly rescued Charlie from a beagle rescue. The beagles at this rescue were being used for animal testing. Carly decided to leave the zoo at the beginning of last year. She wanted a change and decided she wanted to help birds, cats, dogs and other house pets. So that's how Brooklyn Pet Care Veterinary Hospital was conceived. The building she's renting has loads of space so that Brooklyn Pet Care Veterinary Hospital, The One Voice Foundation charity and Charlie's Rescue shelter can all fit in the same building.

It's Me Again With More News.

Hello It's me Barry again. As you have heard by now Hurricane Nate is going to hit the gulf coast this weekend. To all my fans in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida panhandle take care of yourselves. Being the nice guy that I am I've added four more shows to my Hurricane Relief concert efforts. These concerts are for Hurricane Nate and will benefit the state Red Cross and animal shelters in each state. The added dates are Thursday November 16th Pensacola Bay Center 8PM Pensacola FL, Sunday November 19th BJCC Legacy Center 8PM Birmingham AL, Tuesday November 21st Bancorp South Arena 8PM Tupelo MS and Thursday November 23rd Smoothie King Center 8PM New Orleans Louisiana. After  the turkey and all the trimmings I'll be making my New Orleans fans
feel better. Can you think of anything better than to spend Thanksgiving evening with me? I don't think so. I  did a web search looking for a Thanksgiving Song I could sing that night. I actually found one called the Thanksgiving Song by Mary Chapin Carpenter. The lyric and melody are so beautiful I know you're going to love it. Again everyone in Hurricane Nate's path stay safe. I Hate Facebook

I hate Facebook Carly said out loud. Barry heard her say that and asked her why she said that. Well it seems that I can't get in anymore. If f I want to get in I need to give them my mobile phone number. My Barry Friend Rita told me her sister Zoe can't get on Facebook anymore either. Rita thinks it's because Facebook is kicking off anyone who is a conservative Republican. Or anyone they think is a conservative Republican whether they are or not. All of the stuff that gets posted over on Facebook that's political liberal Democrat stuff or related to HRC. How the  people who run Facebook found out Zoe is a Republican is beyond me. Zoe never posted anything dealing with Donald Trump or anything Republican. She stuck with posting stuff on all her favorite stuff. Me, Rita and Zoe know that Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook is a liberal Democrat. Mark's a close personal friend of Hillary Clinton. He also backed her for president last year said Carly. Mark's upset just like all the liberal democrats ate that Hillary Clinton didn't win last year. Rita mentioned she left Facebook right after her sister Zoe left. Rita then mentioned that loads of other Barry Manilow Friends left Facebook.
Right before Rita left Facebook she let Mark Zuckerberg have it. You mean she told the head of Facebook off. Yes she did said Carly. Well good for her said Barry. I met him just once a few years back and found him to be arrogant. Me, Rita and Zoe never did go over to MMN. Someone else who hung out over there told us it was being run by The Manilow Mafia. The Manilow Mafia figured that Barry was the don or head of the mafia. While Garry Kief and Marc Hulett were his bodyguards. She also mentioned MMN became very snobbish. The Manilow Mafia took over MMN. Me, Rita and Zoe started our own Google+ community for you. In fact Vikki Thomas joined our community. Vikki mentioned she got kicked off MMN and she's the director of the BMIFC no less. She said she doesn't know if anyone from the BMIFC is managing MMN. Now I never bothered with MMN said Barry. I have my website, Twitter account and Google+ site. I got rid of my Facebook page because I couldn't get on there anymore. I'm sure most of my fans don't like the fact that I got rid of my Facebook page. I've discovered that my friends are starting to joining my Google+ communities. Which is better since I can have separate communities for different things. I have one that I used as a message board where even I participate. A few communities used for posting photos of me. Video communities for me and all you fans to share videos of me. Every sanctioned BMFC can have their own communities. I put a message up on my website telling all my local BMFC's about having their own communities over on Google+. I suggested the BMIFC get rid of MMN for good. The Manilow Mafia can start a secret group over on Facebook. The BMIFC has The Barry Net run by Gary Oye. They also take care of shopManilow my merchandise site. I have my manilow.com site. Along with my charity sites The Manilow Fund, Manilow Music Project and the One Voice Foundation. Now I did get a "How come you left Facebook and shut down you Facebook page Mr. Manilow" from Mark Zuckerburg. I told him I got kicked off my own Facebook page and couldn't get in. Oh but Mr. Manilow your a viable part of Facebook and we need you over here. We will fix the problem of you not being able to get into your Facebook page Mr. Manilow. I told Mark Zuckerberg that I already had my manager David Taylor delete my Facebook page. I then heard from Jack my only Palm Springs friend that Suzie and Scott Nevins are pissed that my Facebook page was taken down. Because I took down my Facebook page those two can't follow me anymore. Well too band Suzie and Scott Nevins. Jack also mentioned he's thinking about leaving Palm Springs for good. He said he was getting tired of Suzie and Scott Nevins pestering him about me. I asked him where would you go? He said he was thinking Seattle Washington would be better. Since he was getting sick of the 100+ temperature in the summer. Jack is even more of a coffee junky than I am said Barry. Jack's the one who turned me on to Seattle's Best brand coffee. He said "Once I move up there I'll invite you and Carly for a visit. So once Jack gets settled we have an invitation to go visit him there. While we're there we can go visit your sister Jill and her husband said Barry. Debbie who still hangs out on Facebook told me that fans were pissed
that Dana Carter didn't get any of her photos in this years calendar said Carly. Every one of my fans should be allowed to have a chance to get one of their photos in my yearly calendars said Barry.  Now for this years calendar I took June, July and August and made them all candid shots of me. June photo is of me in my summer running gear. I was running from the Brooklyn Bridge Park over the Brooklyn Bridge, to East River Out and Back Path. July is me working in my vegetable garden in the backyard. August is me on my Brooklyn bicycle cycling through the Williamsburg neighborhood. I don't have tooth pick legs like Brian Murphy does. You can see me wearing bike, cargo, kaki and running shorts during the summer. I also wear sleeved and sleeveless tee shirts in the summer too. I'm also an adventurous kind of guy. Now I will agree with everyone that Brian Murphy sure loves wearing black said Barry. Garry called to tell Carly that Brian Murphy was on The View today to serenade Joy Behar on her birthday. He also was over on Facebook where some fans wondered why Barry wasn't on there as well. Barry's isn't friends with Joy Behar, Whoppie Goldberg or anyone from The View. As for Barry being on daytime TV he's done The Today Show, Ellen, Joan Rivers, Rachel Ray, The Talk and Meredith. When it comes to late night he's done The Tonight Show staring Johnny
Carson, The Tonight Show staring Jay Leno and the Arsenio Hall Show. Rosie O' Donald is a huge Brian Murphy fans. She gushed when Brian Murphy first appeared on her daytime talk show. Garry said he heard Rosie was at Brian's Newark New Jersey show last night. Now where's Barry? Garry asked. He's in Chicago said Carly. Chicago said Garry what for? Well Barry threw a huge surprise on all us fans. He posted a message last Sunday telling us it was finished and he was going out on a short book signing tour. We fans figured Barry was talking about his coffee table photo book. Well Barry told us the coffee table photo book was a ruse. That was to throw all us fans off. What Barry had finished was his autobiography called Barack Alon Manilow Williamsburg. He started his book
signing tour on Wednesday October 4th New York, Thursday October 5th was Philadelphia, Saturday is Chicago October 7th, Monday October 8th is Los Angeles and Wednesday October 11th is San Antonio. All the book signings are taking place at Barnes and Noble book stores. Also while in San
Antonio Barry will be announcing At The Mayflower's first regional run at The Majestic Theatre. He'll be making a second stop in Philadelphia to announce At The Mayflower's second regional run at The Forrest Theatre. You mean to tell me Barry's been working on his autobiography not a coffee table photo book said Garry. Yes he has said Carly. I know you and Denise just got back from your vacation to China. When you weed through your mail you'll find your signed copy of Barry's book. He thanked you in the forward section of the book. You helped him get out of debt back in nineteen seventy eight right before Copacabana went to Broadway. Miles Laurie really never checked that guy out thoroughly enough who managed Barry's money. Barry kept saying the guy wasn't a crook. Well he sure didn't know a lot about financial stuff said Carly.

New Google+ Post.

Hi Everyone.
It's me Barry. Now even though I don't like Las Vegas. I wanted everyone to know that I am thinking about the people in Las Vegas. To those who died my their souls go to heaven. Then to the ones who were shot  and are in local hospitals I hope they recover from their injuries soon.  Lets keep political profiling out of this. This is not about what kind of music Democrats, Independents and Republicans like. It's about banning together as a nation to stand up to all the evil that's out there. Also denouncing the evil that is allover this earth. If we ban together maybe we can get rid of radical terrorism and the people behind it. Before anyone says Barry hates people. No I don't hate people. Just the radical ones who want to take over the world. Your religion isn't better than mine and mine isn't better than yours. Also everyone no matter who they are, what religion they follow, what sexual preference they are has a place on earth. In terrorists eyes I have one strike against me. So does Carly and that is we are both Jewish. Just like Brian Murphy and Gregory Knoffler have one strike against them both their gay. Also let the Las Vegas police, Nevada police and the FBI do their job. When they have things figured out they will tells us why the shooter did what he did. Until then do not speculate on what happened and how it happened. Lets let the families burry their love ones who will be terribly missed. Also let the families who love ones who are injured take care of getting them healthy again. Tell your friends and family how much you love them. Just like I love each and everyone you my dear ones.

Surprise Everyone

It's me everyone with some surprising news. It's finished. You're thinking now what the heck is he talking about? I'm talking about my autobiographical book called Williamsburg. Now what did you just say Barry about a book? Yes I said my autobiographical book all about little old me. Well I'm not so little at six foot tall. My book will take you from my humble beginnings in Williamsburg Brooklyn to LA, Palm Springs and back to Brooklyn Heights. Now I was reminded once again of what John F. Kennedy once said. "We can't know where we're going until we know where we've been." I liked that quote a lot. I also used it during my1987-1989  Big Fun Tour de Force and Barry Manilow Live On Broadway Tours. So it got me to thinking that maybe I needed to finish my life story back here in my home borough of Brooklyn. You're joking Barry aren't you?. No I'm not joking everyone. I have been writing  my autobiography. I used the coffee table photo book as a ruse. Mainly to keep you off track from my true intentions. Which was to finally write my autobiography and tell you everything about me within reason. Thanks to the Carolyn Long who gave me the six pairs of Jockey brand underwear while I was on tour this summer.  My mom always told me to wear clean underwear everyday. Which I do. I did put up a short list of cities where I'm doing book signing. New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Antonio. While I'm down in San Antonio me and my partners and I are going to formally announce our musical At The Mayflower's first regional run next year in March and April at The Majestic Theatre. Then on my way back home I'll stop back in Philadelphia with my partners to announce At The Mayflower's second regional run September and October at The Forrest Theatre. Above is the final cover of my autobiography My Brooklyn Blues. Brian's autobiography Sweet Life (Adventures on the way to paradise.) was published by McGraw Hill. My autobiography Williamsburg  is being published by Simon and Schuster. I will be also doing radio shows in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Antonio to promote my book. Then while I'm up in Montreal for the two New Years Eve show I'll be doing a book signing at Indigo Bookstore. The BMIFC opened up twenty-five more slots for their second annual holiday convention in Montreal. Last year was the first ever BMIFC holiday convention in New York City. That was while I was doing two New Years Eve shows at Madison Square Garden. Next years BMIFC holiday convention will take place in London. I'll be spending two weeks in London doing some holiday shows at Royal Albert Hall.  The show will be Sunday December 23rd thru Saturday January 6th. Yes I know it's way to early for this but start thinking where you'd like the BMIFC to have their third holiday convention in 2019. So whatever city you suggest the BMIFC has their holiday convention is where I'll be doing my shows. One of Carly's Barry Buddies was being very cute. Her buddy Rita suggested "Only In Chicago" for two weeks at the Chicago Theatre. So if I pick Chicago the dates would be Sunday December 22nd thru Saturday January 4th.  Then I asked Carly where she thought I should do some holiday shows. Her response was why not do your holiday shows in Brooklyn. You've really never done any shows in Brooklyn before Carly said. You know Carly is right I've never preformed in Brooklyn before. So that sounds like a great idea. Carly said three nights would plenty. Two nights for every fan and one night for BMIFC members only. Then she mentioned that show should be fans get to pick the set list. Then afterwards there would be a Q&A with me and my songwriting partners. We would each get to pick a song we like then we explain how we came to write that song. Then me, the band and backup singers do the song. I'm really starting to like Carly's idea. Now Carly looked at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge for our reception. She said that hotel would be perfect for the holiday convention hotel. The hotel has 637 guest rooms and 28 suites. Also it's close to the Barclay Center where I would do the three shows Sunday December 29th, Sunday December 30th and Tuesday December 31st 2019. When Carly suggested the concert and Q&A with my songwriting partners I was reminded again that I had wanted to invite my partners over for Christmas. Carly's parents go to visit their daughter in Seattle or one of their two grandsons for Christmas. One grandson lives in San Diego the other grandson lives in Chicago. Other times everyone goes down to Mesa Arizona where Carly's parents now live. Carly said we have enough room for the partners coming from out of town. Both Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman live across the east river in Manhattan. They and their partners can take the subway to Brooklyn Heights where we live. Everyone else lives in California. Enoch Anderson lives in Malibu, Marty Panzer lives in Venice Beach. While Adrienne Anderson lives up in Mill Valley. I'm going to let you all go for now. Barry finally got the first twenty-five copies of his autobiography called Williamsburg. Barry used Williamsburg as the title because he wanted to pay tribute to the neighborhood he grew up in. Brian Murphy's autobiography was called Sweet Life (Adventures On The Way To Paradise.) Which Barry didn't consider an autobiography. Simply because Brian didn't tell his fans everything. Such as the gay issue and being in a thirty-eight year relationship with his manager Gregory Knoffler. Barry's book on the other hand was a true autobiography. Not a book where he wouldn't come clean about everything. He had poured through all his old baby pictures. Barry did find a few photos with his dad Harold Keliher and his mom Edna Manilow and him. It was his grandmother Esther Manilow who hated his dad Harold with a passion. Bow Barry knew that certain people were going to question his autobiography. Especially Suzie, Scott and loads of others in the Los Angeles and Palm Springs gay communities. Those were the people who still believed Barry was gay. Barry's book was coming out next week on Wednesday October 4th. That's the day Barry was going to start his book signing tour. Wednesday October 4th was Barnes and Noble Union Square store New York City from 1pm to 4pm. Thursday October 5th was Barnes and Noble in Philadelphia from 1pm to 4pm. Saturday October 7th was Barnes and Noble in Chicago 1pm to 4pm.Monday October 9th was Barnes and Noble in Los Angeles. Wednesday October 11th was Barnes and Noble in San Antonio. Thursday October 12th Barry and his songwriting partners would be at the Majestic Theatre to announce their first regional run of At The Mayflower. On Tuesday December 5th Barry and songwriting partners would be  in Philadelphia at The Forrest Theatre to announce At The Mayflower's second regional run. While in Montreal Barry was going to do a special night time book signing at Indigo Bookstore. The book David his manager had asked the owner of Indigo if the bookstore could stay open two hours more. He said yes to David. So instead of closing at 9PM the store would close at 11PM. Barry would be do the book signing from seven to ten. Then from ten to eleven Barry would answer  questions about his autobiography. Barry's opening part of his book started with the John F. Kennedy quote "We can't know where we're going until we know where we've been."  "This book is dedicated with love and gratitude to my Grandpa Joseph Manilow, Grandma Esther Manilow and Mom Edna Manilow for molding me into the man I've become." "To all my fans your going to love this journey from Williamsburg Brooklyn to Palm Springs California and back again to Brooklyn Heights Brooklyn. There are many highs and many lows. But I learned from each and everyone of them. Maybe you too  will find a little piece of yourself in this book Barack Alon Manilow." Barry had sent copies of his book Williamsburg to Garry, Kirsten, Vikki and Marc for their reactions. Vikki told Barry she could put it down and she stay up to read it from cover to cover.  Kirsten said about the same thing. Marc love it also. Garry loved the book but he also mentioned that certain people Suzie, Scott Nevins plus a whole boat load of people from the Los Angeles and Palm Springs gay communities were going to be very disappointed. That's because Barry wasn't coming out of the closet in his autobiography to admit he was gay. Garry always knew Barry was straight. Barry never hid his relationships with the women he dated. Just about everyone knew about Skylar Hertzbach who was a chief of onboard services for Amtrak's Adirondack route. Skylar was a lesbian who used Barry as a beard the entire time that he date her. Skylar was the girlfriend right before Barry met Dr. Carly Simon. Yet there were all these people from both Los Angeles and Palm Springs who always knew that Barry was gay. How would they know that said Barry. When I never acted, dressed or looked gay.  Yes I know gays can be guys in business suites as well as wearing outrageous clothes. Like  Elton John, Liberace and Boy George did. Then there's George Michaels and Ricky Martin who were the more class dressed  gay guys. Boy George was the only one who wore girly makeup.  Now on stage I did wear a little sparkle. It was in the black and white vests that I wore during the Copacabana Tour. Shoot I even went half cowboy during the Greatest Hits and Then Some, The Hits, Hits and Big Band Too tours. On the lower half I wore black boot cut jeans and black cowboy boots. I paired them with colorful patterned shirts and a tail coat first half. Second half white shirt with black band around the neck with patterned and striped vests and a black tuxedo jacket. Yes I still wore the black boot cut jeans and  cowboy boots during the second half of those shows. One thing I won't ever wear is a black shirt on stage like Brian does all the time. All he needs to do is button up his shirts, out on a tie and change his jacket. Now can we say he's ready to go to a funeral.  Barry also gave Carly and her BFF's his autobiography. BFF stood not for "Best Friends Forever" but for "Barry Friends Forever".  Rita and Zoey also got copies. Barry made sure they were all autographed. Carly told Barry that they were still going to stand in line on Wednesday for another autographed copy. Wednesday came and Barry's autobiography called Williamsburg came out. Barry got a call from Jack Thomas his only contact in Palm Springs. He told Barry that both Suzie and Scott Nevins were livid when they heard about the book. Jack just also happen to see Suzie talking to a west coast reporter for The National Enquirer. He overheard her tell the reporter that Barry's autobiography was filled with too many lies. Including the big one about him being straight when everyone knew he was gay. She told the reporter that Carly was your beard. No Carly is not my beard she's my wife said Barry. We got married in a traditional Jewish Orthodox Wedding. We were married on Sunday July 12, 2015. Which is the day we were supposed to get married. I signed the Ketuba and handed it to Carly during the ceremony. We both wear wedding bans to show everyone that we are married. Unlike some women who still keep and use their maiden name. Carly took my last name of Manilow as her last name. When she went back to the zoo she got a new photo ID tag that said Doctor Carly Manilow DVM.  I'll have to tell Marc, Eric and David to check out the next edition of The National Enquirer. In two weeks I'm doing a one hour program on Fox News channel called Objectified. It's an interview program. The show will be taped at a City Rhythm Sound recording studio in Manhattan. The studio is owned by my dear friend and record producer Eddie Arkin. That's where I recorded my album Williamsburg. Putting It Together (The Songs Of Stephen Sondheim.) was recorded at The Stephen Sondheim Theatre at the beginning of last year. It was me, my band and backup singers along with the New York Pops Orchestra. Eric, David and Garry did the specking parts at the beginning of the song Putting It Together. Then on Thursday of last week I did a duet on Somewhere with Cyndi Lauper. I also did a duet with Judy Collins on Send In The Clowns. We used the theatre during the day since Beautiful the Carole King musical was on stage every night. Man can  Cyndi really hit those high notes. I know a few people wondered why I didn't do that song with Barbara Streisand. I found out Cyndi Lauper is a closet Broadway musical lover. Then Cyndi found out I was doing this Stephen Sondheim album. She contacted me and asked if she could sing a song with me on this album. I told her I was doing Somewhere from Westside Story. It was originally sung as a duet by Maria and Tony in both the movie and the musical. I've been friends with Cyndi Lauper since my Live By Request Christmas special. I invited Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler and Kenny G. to be on my Live By Request holiday show. Some of my other celebrity friends are Richard Marx, Dave Koz, Brian Culbertson, Melissa Manchester, Liza Minnelli, Lorna Luft, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell and Carole King. I'm thinking maybe one day doing a duet album called Barry Manilow and the Ladies. The ladies would be Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli, Lorna Luft, Melissa Manchester, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Carole King and Nancy Wilson. Me and the ladies would do is a duet on one of their famous songs.  Judy Collins Both Sides Now, Liza Minnelli All That Jazz, Carole King You've Got A Friend, Joni Mitchell, Chelsea Morning, Lorna Luft I Feel A Song Coming On, Melissa Manchester Through The Eyes Of Love, Bette Midler Do You Wanna Dance, Cyndi Lauper Time After Time, Nancy Wilson The Last Dream Home, Anne Murray Now And Forever (You and Me.) and Carly Rae Jepson Call Me Maybe. That idea is just that an idea.
