Hurricane Harvey Benefit

Hi Texas fans and everyone else,

Texas fans know you're in my thoughts and prayers. I've been watching the news and seeing  all the devastation.  Wow is all I can say right now. Now what you need is me yes me Barry Manilow  to making you feel better. So I'm coming down to Dallas Texas to the American Airlines Center for a Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concert. The concert will take place on Sunday September 17th at 8PM.

The Hurricane Harvey Benefit will help out the Gulf Coast Humane Society, Houston SPCA and the Texas Red Cross. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday September 5th at 10AM  I hope to see you all there. Everyone in Texas take care.

Hi Gang
It's me Barry again coming at you from the road. We have a few new pieces of merchandise that we want to show you. First the Barry Manilow Williamsburg Tour backpack to store all your stuff. Second I've brought back "The Last Of The Hip White Boys." slogan and put it on a tee shirt with a more currant photo of me. Third the Barry Manilow Williamsburg Tour metal water bottle. These metal water bottles keep your hot drinks hot for a long time. As well as keeping your cold drinks cold for a long time. Also I got the convention hotel for the BMIFC Holiday Convention 2018. That's when I do my fourteen night Christmas/ New Years Eve run at Royal Albert Hall Sunday December 23, 2018 thru Saturday January 5, 2019. The convention starts Friday December 28th and runs thru Monday December 31st. We're staying at the Hilton Metropole the same hotel we used last year for the BMIFC London Convention 2016. That convention took place while I did an almost three month run at the London Palladium. I will have another Facebook post coming out soon. There is some new rumors swirling around about me. I need to address them first before I tell everyone what they are. So just bare with me while sort through all the incorrect information. Also do what I know needs to be done about a few people who know better than to give false information to the press and tabloids. My lawyer Jack McCoy had been notified about the false information that was given to the press and one of the major tabloids. He is working on our plan of action for taking care of this.

Hi Gang it's me Barry coming to you from Albuquerque New Mexico. Contrary to what was posted in Monday's Las Vegas Review Journal, I don't  intend on signing any contracts with any Las Vegas hotels.  I have seven more dates on my Williamsburg summer Tour. Then there's the Memory Gala for Alzheimer's Saturday September 9th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Next year The Mayflower musical opens for regional number one in San Antonio, It plays The Majestic Theater March and April. June is Williamsburg Tour down under Australia New Zealand. The Mayflower musical's second regional Philadelphia in September and October. The last two weeks in December I'm at Royal Albert Hall for Christmas and New Years. I do know that Brian Murphy signed a ten year contract with the Westgate Hotel and Casino. It use to be the Las Vegas Hilton. So Brian will be in Las Vegas at the Westgate Hotel and Casino till 2028. That came from the horses mouth. I know that a lot of you fans can not afford to go to Las Vegas. Besides I'm not crazy about Las Vegas. I'd rather go on the road when I tour. This entire Williamsburg Tour has been a blast. I love meeting you fans. I also enjoyed this year BMIFC Denver Convention. I have put up a new question asking all of you where you'd like to have future conventions held. One fan suggested a convention at sea on a cruise ship. Someone else said "But Barry gets motion sickness." No I do not get motion sickness. That again is Brian Murphy. I'll have to look into convention cruse idea. Let me get going since it's lunch time.

What The Bleep?

What the bleep? said Barry Barry had been on his Mac Book Pro checking out Facebook.  Barry had his Facebook page for his professional life. Then he also had a private timeline page for his wife and his friend. Garry followed Suzie on Facebook just to what she was talking about. Incase she was  talking about Barry to her Facebook followers. He told Barry that  Suzie newest Facebook post was that her dear friends Barry M. and Scott Nevins relationship was now completely out in the open. Also Barry and Scott would be making their announcement about them getting married. Now really Suzie?  That not's going to happen since I'm a happily married to my wife Mrs. Barry M. He said M because he was still wrestling with the whole last name thing. Edna's parents were Joseph Manilow and Ester Yanoff Manilow. Grandpa's parents were Lewis Manilow and Anna Meltzer Manilow. His Grandma's parents were Abraham Yanoff and Bertha Valinsky. Barry did know that Meltzer, Yanoff and Valinsky were Jewish last names. However Manilow was not a Jewish last name. Barry got that confirmed by his mom's friend Sophie Bernstein Rosenberg. Sophie now lived in the Napa Valley area. Her husband Harry Rosenberg was a vintner  who owned Brookhaven Winery. Sophie's parents were friends with  Joseph and Esther Manilow. While Sophie and her sister Abigail were friends with Edna and Rose. What Sophie couldn't tell Barry was why Joseph's father Lewis Manilow changed his last name. What his great grandpa's original last name Sophie didn't know that. So his great grandpa's last name wasn't really Manilow. Sophie told Barry she figured his great grandpa decided to have his last name Americanized. Or he changed it all together to something else. Barry told Sophie that he knew Manilow was not a Jewish last name. My wife Carly looked it up and discovered Manilow was an Old English last name. I'm totally confused now Barry told Sophie. My first name Barack and my middle Alon are both Jewish. However my last name is not Jewish it's Old English instead. I do know that Pincus is a Jewish last name. While Murphy is an Irish last name said Barry. Most people can't say my last name correctly. Sophie people even butcher my mom's maiden name which I've been using since I was thirteen. Actually I don't know what to with my last name. Keep it or change it.  I've even had people call me Manila as in manila envelopes. My friend Bette Midler use to call me manila when we use to work together. Now what is your wife's last name asked Sophie? It's Simon said Barry and that is a Jewish last name. If you go to Ancestry dot com that helps you find all your ancestors who have the same last name as yours. But I really wonder how many Manilow's I am related to thought Barry. Before Barry left Sophie house she told him she would send him some Brookhaven wine. I'll call Carly and let her know about the wine. Barry said his goodbyes to Sophie. He went back to Garry's house. The next day Barry and company left for the Portland. Wednesday August 9th was the Portland concert. Saturday August 12th was the Auburn concert. Auburn was in between Tacoma and Seattle.  Then it was down to Albuquerque, over to St. Louis, up to Vaughan Ontario Canada and back to Brooklyn to Coney Island's Ford Amphitheater. There were only nine more concerts to go before Barry was off for a while. The next big event was the Memory Gala on Saturday September 9th at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. After that Barry and Carly were going to spend two weeks in Boston, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. They were going to take Amtrak Acela trains up there and back. Once they got to Boston Barry was going to rent a car  so they could get to the Cape and the two islands

Hi Everyone
It's me Barry posting from Park City Utah. Tonight me and my peeps are on stage at the Snow Park Amphitheater. Since it's slightly hotter out here on the west coast I decided to change my attire. I chose to bring out the light weight stuff. I've brought back the white athletic shoes, white jeans, short sleeved pullover shirts.  That's my second half outfit. The first half outfit is black tie ankle boots, black pants, button front long sleeved shirts and vests with designs on them. None of them have sequins. I'm not into the sequined stuff. That's Brian Murphy who's wearing sequins now. Also heard he's sporting a diamond stud ear ring. Carly said her friends Rita went to Brian's MGM Harbor shows and said he's looking too Liberace for her taste. Liberace was famous for his three piece sequined suits, floor length fur capes and gaudy rings. Some not all gay people dress flamboyantly or over the top as I call it. Now next month I'm doing the Memory Benefit for Alzheimer's. That will take place at the Grand Hyatt on Saturday September 9th. More information will be posted very soon. Then there's The One Voice Foundations Second Annual "Because It's Christmas" Gala. That will take place on Sunday December 17th at The Lighthouse NYC Chelsea Pier 61 When it get's closer to the beginning of November the information  for that benefit will come out. Now in October I'm going on vacation with Carly. We're headed to Boston and the Cape Cod  We're doing the same thing we did last year going by Amtrak. Yes many times I've said "It's cool to fly." However it's nice to take the train once in a while. Being able to see the scenery as the train goes down the tracks is cool too. Try taking the Coast Starlight from Los Angeles to Seattle. The California coastline with it's breath taking views. Or take the California Zephyr  from Chicago to  Emeryville which is close to Oakland and San Francisco. Go that route during the winter time. When you stop at Winter Park Colorado you'll see the skiers coming down the slopes. One day in the near future I'm thinking the BMIFC should take a train trip to some destination here in the US. This train trip would be surrounding one of my annual New Years concerts. Maybe in a few years we can do that. If we do I'm thinking San Antonio TX. Now what do you think? Let me know right here under this Facebook post. That will give me a feel for how many fans are interested in going. Now next year the BMIFC is bringing back the charity walk. We will walk for my two charities the Manilow Music Project and the One Voice Foundation,. All the money raised will be divided in half. Half will go to the local Melbourne school district for musical instruments. While the other half will go to  a local  animal shelter. Well it's almost time for dinner.

Now How About That People

At the beginning of the week Barry was in LA for three shows at the Hollywood Bowl. Of course he heard that Suzie and Scoot Nevins were looking for him. Thank goodness that Marty lived in the  LA  neighborhood of Venice Beach. Marty had bought a three bedroom bungalow on one of the streets along one of the canals. So while Barry was in LA for three days he would be staying with his friend Marty. That way Suzie and Scott would not know how to find him. If he had stayed with his other friend Enoch those two would have definitely found him. Enoch lived in Malibu and owned a house right on the beach. Why in fact Enoch lived just up the road from where Suzie lived. Enoch had sent Barry a photo of Suzie's new house that was built a few years back. Suzie's original house on her property burned down. So Suzie and her husband Alan had the remainder of what was left of  their house tore down. Then she and Alan rebuilt their beach house. At one time Barry had a house near by her house but he chose to sell it. He didn't stay at the beach house all that often. Then in 2003 Barry sold his Palm Springs home in the Mesa neighborhood to pop singer Brian Murphy. Barry got sick and tired of living Palm Springs. It was becoming way too celebrity orientated and too gay for his taste. Not that Barry hated bisexuals, gays and lesbians. He did not and some of his friends were gays and lesbians. It's just the entire time Barry lived in Palm Springs most everyone thought Barry was gay. That was because Suzie was telling just about everyone she knew that Barry was gay. Then there was Scott Nevins who had the major hot's for Barry. Scott wanted Barry to be his life partner because he was in love with him. Barry was not in love with Scott Nevins. Why would he be on love with a gay man when he wasn't gay. Barry knew Scott wanted to marry him which he didn't like that at all.  Throughout his entire life Barry dated women. The last girlfriend Barry had when he lived there was Andrea Schwartz. Andrea broke up with Barry back in nineteen ninety four. Actually Andrea dumped Barry for a seventy eight year old man named Rico De Marco. Rico was a billionaire Spaniard. He had a three residents a house in Palm Springs, a condominium in Barcelona Spain and a house on the beach in Niece France. After Andrea dumped him Barry just decided to give the dating scene a rest for a while. Barry didn't start dating  again until he moved back to the New York City in 2003. That was where Barry now lived in a five story townhouse in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. Barry dated a few women after he moved back to New York Abigail, Julie Ann and Skyler . Then in 2001 he met Dr. Carly Nichole Simon DVM. Barry instantly fell head over feet in love with her. Head Over Feet was a song from one of his favorite female singers Alanis Morrisette. "Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are. I couldn't help it. It's all your fault." Was some of the lyrics from the song. After Barry had been dating Carly for about a year he called his ex Susan Diexler Burnstein to tell her how right she was about him finding someone someday . Barry made sure he invited Susan and husband Larry to his and Carly's 2015 wedding. Barry also sent Susan a pair of tickets to his Shoreline Amphitheater concert so she and husband could attend the concert.  He even sprung for a limo ride to and from the Amphitheater. During the show on Friday July 28th Barry invited Susan up on stage and sang  the Everly Brothers song Wake Up Little Susie to her. Mean while back in NYC Carly had an interesting chat with Marc during their lunch date. Marc had to tell Carly that Los Vegas gossip columnist Robin Leach had just reported in his latest column that Barry had signed a seven year contract to play the Westgate Hotel and Casino. I actually contacted Robin Leach to ask him where he got that piece of information from. Robin told me where he got the information from and who told him. I then told Robin that Barry hates Las Vegas. Also that Barry's not into the glitz the Las Vegas. Then I told Robin to contact Gregory Knoffler Brian Murphy's manager. Because Brian Murphy had just signed a nine year deal to headline at the Westgate Hotel and Casino. Brian had been their in the past between February 2005 to December 2011. Five years 2005 to 2009 at what was then the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Two years January 2010 to December 2011 at the Paris Hotel and Casino on the strip. Barry can't stand Las Vegas. He also told me he would never play there in a million years said Carly. I've never been there but my parents went once. Both my dad and mom hated Las Vegas, On the other hand dad and mom love Atlantic City New Jersey. Most likely it's because Atlantic City had the boardwalk with the beach said Carly. I had been there seven times to with my buddies to see Barry when he played Caesars Hotel and Casino. I know that Brian Murphy signed a nine year contract to play the Westgate Hotel and Casino. I got that piece of information from Barry who got it straight from the horses mouth Brian himself. Barry's enjoying a little down time at Garry's house before he plays Snow Park Amphitheater in Deer Creek Utah on Friday August 4th.  Barry did mention when he called me on Thursday at 11:30AM. That Suzie, Alan and Scott were at all three of his Hollywood Bowl shows. Barry didn't acknowledge any of them during his three shows. Eric and  Marty helped Barry get out of the venue real quick every night before the three of them came backstage to try to see him. When they did get back stage Seth Jackson Barry's lighting guy told  the three of them Barry had already left the building. Plus staying at Marty's Venice canal house was a big help. Eric and everyone else stayed at a hotel near the Hollywood Bowl. Seth told Barry that Suzie was starting to look like a sleazy old prune. Seth said Suzie was showing to much cleavage. Plus he also said it was time for her to get some Botox.  Next month Barry is doing the 35th Annual Memory Benefit for Alzheimer's. That's at the Grand Hyatt on Saturday September 9th. Then there's the One Voice Foundation's 2nd Annual "Because It's Christmas" Gala on Sunday December 17th. That takes place at The Lighthouse NYC at Chelsea Pier 61. The One Voice Foundation is Barry's charity for defenseless animals who don't have their own voice so they can speak. That's why Barry is a big advocate of adopting shelter animals who deserve a good home with humans who will love them. Barry has two Labrador Retrievers Maggie is a shelter dog and Max has a health issue so he could not become a see eye dog. My two Pit Bulls Buster who was almost used for dog fighting and Boomer who's mom was thrown out of a moving car pregnant. Boomer was the rut of the litter. I had my partner Dr. Jeff Houston check Boomer out. He said it looked like there might be something wrong with Boomer. So I took Boomer to a veterinary specialist. Dr. Matt Rosen ran a bunch of tests on Boomer. Dr. Rosen determined  that Boomer was a dwarf Pit Bull.
