Concert Time

Yes it was concert time. There was Wednesday June 7th at Nikon Jones Beach with the girls. Then there's the weekend in Baltimore MD. With the Merriweather Post Pavilion concert on Friday June 9th. Now Carly had heard from a Facebook friend Stacy that the Xfinity concert last Friday June 2nd was buzz worthy. Stacy got an extra copy of the Boston newspaper with the concert review for Carly. In the review it said Barry Manilow put on a killer show. He gave the fans two solid hours and then some. Stacy and friends were going to the June 6th Camden NJ concert at BB&T. Northwell Health  at Jones Beach concert June 7th. Plus the Merriweather Post Pavilion concert June 9th. Stacy chose to bring Deanna, Erica and Kaley three of her Barry Buddies. Carly, Rita and Zoey were going to hang out with Stacy and her fiends at the Wantagh NY and Columbia MD concerts. Abigail couldn't go with them to these concerts. Her daughter Julie was due to deliver her twins on Friday. Since Carly and Barry cut their vacation short.  She went back to work one day after they came home from San Francisco. She decided to use those days for her weekend trip down to Baltimore. Barry did get over his case of food poisoning. Barry was off Monday June 5th. Tuesday was the concert  in Camden NJ. Rita and her sister Zoey were going to the show with Stacy and friends. Carly was working late on Tuesday so she couldn't go. She was going to Wednesday June 7th Northwell Health Jones Beach concert in Wantagh. When she got home from work she got a phone call from Garry. He asked how Barry was doing. Carly told him he was doing fine. Garry said he saw both  the Boston and Saratoga Springs concert reviews in the papers online. Garry mentioned he was going to the Hollywood Bowl concerts in LA. He also said Adrienne was coming down for the concerts. Then he heard from Bruce that he and Jack were coming out for the concerts. So all the partners will be there said Carly. Yes said Garry all the partners will be there. Enoch and Marty live in LA. Barry doesn't know that Bruce, Jack and Adrienne are coming to the Hollywood Bowl concerts said Garry.  I'm glad I won't be there said Carly. I'm sure certain celebrities will be at those three shows namely Suzie and Scott. Oh I'm sure she'll bring her hubby Alan with her. Marc said he and David were going out there too. Besides seeing the three concerts he and David were having a meeting with Kirsten. So both Marc and David said they'd make sure Scott Nevins didn't try anything. The thing is Barry's not staying in any  hotel while he's out there in LA said Carly. Barry got an invitation to spend four nights at Marty's house July 22nd thru July 25th while he plays the Hollywood Bowl. When Barry gets back to Brooklyn for the Ford Amphitheater concert on August 31st. Coney Island said their going to call August 31st Barry Manilow Day. Barry will get a key to Coney Island. But that's not all of it Brooklyn  borough president Eric Adams and New York City mayor Bill de Blasio have also declared August 31st. Barry Manilow Day. Now Barry's going to get a key to the city of New York and a key to the borough of Brooklyn too. Also Coney Island is calling August 31st. Barry Manilow International Fan Club Day. All BMIFC members who come to Coney Island and show their membership cards will get in to Coney Island free. Vikki decided August 31st should be a special BMIFC day at Coney Island. That night the concert at Ford Amphitheater will be for BMIFC members only. Marc, David and Vikki are keeping all this a surprise. So Barry won't know until Thursday August 31st about his special day. I  only know about this because I have to get Barry to Coney Island early on Thursday August 31st said Carly. Thursday August 31st is my day off so I won't have to take the day off for this. Then to top it all off the head of The Guinness World Records is coming to Coney Island to present Barry with a Guinness Book Of World Records for being the first Broadway songwriter to ever have four musicals on Broadway at the same time. Harmony Marquee Theatre March 2002, Revival of Copacabana  Gershwin Theatre September 2009. 15 Minutes Palace Theatre November 2011 and Here At The Mayflower Broadway Theatre October 2016. Let's add to that Barry and partners next musical called The Mayflower which does it's first regional in San Francisco November 2018 at the Golden Gate Theatre 2,297. Then the second regional will be in Philadelphia April 2019  at the Forrest Theatre 1,851. Barry and company hope with luck to have The Mayflower on Broadway in  the fall of 2020. The Mayflower delves into the lives of the residents from Here At The Mayflower and Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) Carly hung up after she said goodbye to Garry. Right after she hung up sh got another phone call this time it was from Marc. Carly told him about Brian Murphy adding two more shows July 24th and 25th at The Theatre at MGM National Harbor Oxon Hill MD. Barry said Brian should just break down and do a US tour. Instead of continually adding show after show to the ones he's already announced. LA, Chicago, Durant, New York and Mashantucket. Now Atlanta Fox Theatre and The Theatre at MGM National Harbor Oxon Hill MD. They are calling it DC. Last night me, Rita, Zoey, Stacy, Erica, Deanna and Kaley went to Barry's Northwell Health Jones Beach Wantagh concert. Stacy Erica, Deanna and Kaley are from Boston area. So those girls
were at Barry's opening tour  concert at the Xfinity Center concert in Mansfield MA. Then they also
went with Rita and Zoey to the BB&T in Camden NJ. Then all of us are going down to Baltimore to the Merriweather Post Pavilion concert in Columbia MD. Stacy, Erica Deanna and Kaley are leaving Saturday morning for Boston. Me, Rita and Zoey are staying all day Saturday and part of Sunday. I also heard that a bunch of Brian Murphy fans were putting together a video for Brian's 71st birthday which is next month. Brian Murphy was born on Tuesday July 16, 1946. Barry was born Thursday June 17, 1943. Rita mentioned that she went to a Facebook page started for Harmony Barry and Bruce's musical. She said since June 1st they've been putting up stuff to celebrate Barry's birthday. Now I've heard about that page said Marc.  The main page owner has fans believing she's friends with Barry and Bruce. I actually met the page owner back in 2001 at the second fan club convention in Chicago. Back then she tried to give me  and members of my local fan club the impression that she was best friends with Barry. However I discovered she is not best friends with Barry. Heidi Brooks head of the Barry's Paradise Fan Club from Philadelphia told me that piece of information on local fan club day. I was with my co-directors Rita and Zoey. We began the NYC Rhythm Fan Club Our local Barry Manilow Fan Club back in 1975. That's makes us the oldest sanctioned BMFC out there. This year we will be celebrating our 42nd year as a fan club. So our fan club decided to celebrate during the Barry Manilow Day on August 31st at Coney Island.
