Last nights show was a blast. I surprised everyone last night with two songs from my next album. They're Late Night At The Paradise Café and Penn Central Station (Waiting for my baby.) The songs are from 2:00AM Paradise Café II which comes out Thursday November 15, 2018. I was able to get back together for this album Uncle Festive. Uncle Festive was Bud Harner on drums, Mark Levine on bass, John Pondel on guitar and Ron Pedley on keyboards. Also on the album is my dear friend and Concord Records label mate Kenny G. on saxophone and The Manhattan Transfer. They will all join me Thursday November 15, 2018 at the Rose Theatre Lincoln Center for the debut of my 2:00AM Paradise Café II album. It will be a night of Jazz. Songs from the albums 2:00AM Paradise Café II with a few songs from both Swing Street and 2:00AM Paradise Café thrown in. I've invited Debra Byrd to come and duet with me on Blue from 2:00AM Paradise Café. I originally did the song with Sarah Vaughn. I invited Kion Harris as well he and I will duet on Big City Blues from that same album. I originally did that song with Mel Torme'. Not to worry I'll let you fans know next year when tickets go on sale for the album debut at the Rose Theatre. To get a head start so I can get Radio City Music Hall for two weeks of holiday concerts. Usually the Radio City Rockettes are there right after Thanksgiving till a little after New Years. That's why Marc, David and myself had talks with the Radio City people about me doing the two weeks of holiday concerts. The Radio City people said yes to me doing two weeks of holiday shows Sunday December 23, 2018 through Saturday January 5, 2019. So last night I sprung the exiting news on the audience. I said to everyone last night "Guess where I'm gong to be for two weeks next year during the holidays Christmas and New Years Eve?" I then said Radio City Music Hall New York City Sunday December 23, 20`19 through Saturday January 5, 2019. When I mentioned Radio City Music Hall in New York City for two weeks. The audience went crazy. I also told everyone mums the word. So don't spread it all over the internet. Because I want to surprise fans who were not at tonight's concert but will be at tomorrow nights concert. Yes there will be a BMIFC NYE Party Weekend in NYC. Our hotel for the party weekend will be the Grand Hayatt where the BMIFC had their New York City Rhythm Convention back in June of 2015. That was when I did PBS' Great Performances at the Metropolitan Opera House on Wednesday June 17th which was my birthday. Then on Saturday June 20th I did a BMIFC members only concert at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park. That was taped in front of a sold out audience of one thousand eight hundred BMIFC members. The concert which was two hours plus encores of fan favorites will be coming out on DVD just in time for Valentines Day. Prior to the concert I had you fans send me three song you wanted to hear me perform. I took the song titles and put them on a piece of paper. Then next to each song I put the number of times the song was asked for by you fans. I played some of the songs that were mentioned the most and some that were mentioned only once. So as for next year I'll be at the Tropicana Casino Resort in February, June and October. Each of those months I am doing two weeks with four nights each of those two weeks. I'm doing Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Tropicana has said that I can do my usual encores after my ninety minute show. The thing I like most about the Tropicana is they don't cater to the high rollers when it comes to the headliners who preform there. So you know I was approached by the Westgate Casino Resort n Las Vegas for the third time. I was approached back in two thousand four and then again in two thousand ten. Two thousand four was for two thousand five and two thousand ten was for two thousand eleven. I told them no both times just like I did this last time. The reason they approached me for the third time was because Suzie told them I was very interested in headlining there. Which I am not. I told them I had already signed a five year contract with the Tropicana Casino Resort in Atlantic City. My current Tropicana contract goes from 2018 thru 2025. I was recently asked when I was going to retire by a reporter. I told the reporter "NEVER." I then said as long I can get around I will continue to do perform for my fans. I don't have arthritis, my heart is fine and my hearing hasn't gone. So why should I retire if I don't want to. And I don't want to retire anytime soon. Besides I still have loads more original music to write, record and perform for all of my fans. Also the Broadway songwriting well hasn't dried up yet either. I'm happy to be stuck with you fans. So I hope your happy to be stuck with me too. Get ready for two thousand eighteen 'cause it's going to be one spectacular ride you won't want to miss. So get ready for the ride of your life everyone. Happy 2018 and my all your wishes come true. I know mine are.
