Now What?

Now what thought Barry. First off I didn't have a heart attack in two thousand sixteen. Second I've never smoked a cigarette in my entire life. Cigarette smoke stinks. I know all about that since both my step-dad and mom smoked. It also makes your breath and clothes smell bad. Third I don't have cancer of any kind especially not lung cancer. The last surgery I did have was back in nineteen forty seven when I had my tonsils removed. All the other stuff I've had done since then was done as an out patient. That's having a fractured ankle reset after I tripped over an electrical cord. Having stiches to a cut to my chin when my junior high girlfriend punched me there.  Brian Murphy's the one with atrial fibrillation. He's also the one who smokes cigarettes. Pal Mal non filters, Camels (The Turkish Delights.) and now it's E-cigarettes. Brian along with his partner Gregory Knofler smoke. Even his personal assistant Matt Carlson puffs E-cigarettes. I'm also not the tooth pick (skinny) one. Again that's Brian Murphy. Brian hates to eat. I'm six foot tall and weight one hundred and seventy five pounds. I'm a major foodie and I love to eat.  A foodie is a person who loves to eat. I also admit that I'm a junk food junkie.  Give me some homemade cookies, ice cream, nuts and pop corn. I will be one happy camper. That's why I decided in the mid nineteen nineties to go to culinary arts school. I already knew how to cook the easy stuff. Casseroles, fried chicken, meatloaf, pizzas and ETC. But I wanted to know more about elaborate cooking techniques. Making sauces like a mole', Salsa Verde, hollandaise and ETC.That's one of the reasons I went to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America). You can actually call me Chef Barry Manilow. After I graduated from Eastern District High School. I decided to go to Juilliard Music School. To get into Juilliard you have to take their entrance exam.  I already knew what I already knew what I was going to major in and minor in. I chose to double major in composing and conducting. For my audition I composed a piece called I've Got Me Some Rhythm which is an instrumental jazz piece. I recently gave the music to Marty Panzer and he put lyrics to the music. I've Got Me Some Rhythm is going on my 2:00AM Paradise Café II album. My conducting piece was Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Israel Kamawiwo'ale. My piano audition piece was Chopin's Prelude in C Minor. I based my song Could It Be Magic on Chopin's Prelude in C Minor on it. From Juilliard I have a Bachelors in Music, Masters in Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts. You can call me Barry Manilow Doctor of Musical Arts. Back in the mid nineties I went to the Culinary Institute of America where I got my culinary arts degree. You also call me Chef Barry Manilow if you want.  I didn't want to open up any sort of eatery without an actual culinary arts degree. I chose to open up some gastro pubs. My two gastro pubs in New York are staffed with people that I went to cooking school with. The Inquisitor article that just came out last week is a piece of garbage. I'm sure they saw the Daily Mail article from a while back.The Daily Mail was speculating that I had lung cancer and I was near death. I let the Daily Mail know I wasn't happy with their article. Since it had all my fans freaking out big time after it came out. I told the Inquisitor ask me first before you put any more article on me. Garry was the one who called me about the Inquisitor article. Garry also called both David my manager and Marc head of Stiletto East about the article. I called David to tell him I put a post up on my Google + community page to do major damage control. Now that Barry was home he got to meet the newest member to his family Ringo Carly's Beagle. Barry wondered if Ringo was named after Beetle's drummer Ringo Starr. Barry went onto his Google + community group to tell everyone about the newest doggie a Beagle named Ringo. He also told them about Barry Manilow At The Red Rocks the five disc DVD set. Barry Manilow At The Red Rocks Amphitheater is a five DFVD disc box set from last July's concerts there. What's up next you might add is a much needed vacation for Carly and me. Then my Australian and New Zealand tour down under in June.
Where I get to celebrate my seventy fifth birthday in Melbourne. BMIFC convention down under in Melbourne. Blenheim Palace concert Monday August twenty seventh. My three month Broadway run in September, October and November at the Cort Theatre. Three nights at the Barclay Center for New Years Eve. BMIFC annual It's Just Another New Years Eve Party weekend. As for the much needed vacation I let Carly pick where we're going. So it's off to Boston and Cape Cod for our much needed vacation.

Barry Manilow One Voice in Central Park.

Hi Friends

It's me Barry. I can hear you already saying "But  Barry isn't this a little too early to be announcing this?" No not really it isn't to early to announce this. A concert in Central Park for the summer of 2019. So "Come Monday" June 17, 2019 I'm doing a concert in Central Park. Sorry for the Here At The Mayflower pun friends. I'm doing a free concert on the Great Lawn in Central Park to thank all of my friends. It's just my way of saying thank you for all your support over my entire career.  I've chosen the largest of the three open spaces for my one night only concert. That is the Great Lawn which is 55 total acres. Previously other recording artists have used the Great Lawn 55 acres, North Meadow 23 acres and Sheep Meadow 15 acres. Sheep Meadow is called Sheep Meadow because sheep used to roam on that part of Central Park. Other recording artists who have used Central Park for a one night only concert are Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, Diana Ross, Simon and Garfunkle, Elton John, Garth Brooks, Paul Simon, Daryl Hall and John Oats, Edie Brickell, The B-52's and The Dave Matthews Band.  Everyone who's done a concert in Central Park did theirs for free. Which is what I will be doing next year. Above is the ad for my Central Park concert for next year. I decided the perfect way to celebrate my seventy sixth birthday was being with my friends in Central Park making music. The reason I'm telling you about the concert next summer is so you can post three song from my vast collection. Your three song along with everyone's three songs will be put together in a list. Then I will pick enough songs to do an entire two hour concert. Yes there will be audio and video guys there to record and tape the concert for a CD/DVD combo. Which later in two thousand nineteen the CD/DVD combo will come out as a two disc box set. My latest 1943 British American Gastro Pub in London England  will open ahead of schedule. It was suppose to open in April of two thousand nineteen. Instead it will be opening on Saturday August twenty fifth two thousand eighteen. On that night the gastro pub will be closed to the general public. However it will be open to BMIFC members. Just show your BMIFC membership card to the person at the door. Friday August twenty four is the night the UK restaurant critics will be their to critique my gastro pub. I'm adding two US favorites and a Canadian favorite to the menu. The US favorites are called an Awesome Blossom or a Blooming Onion and hot wings. The Blooming onion is a large onion that is cut down almost to the bottom. It is then batter dipped and deep fried. It's opened up to look like a bunch of flower petals. In the center is a ramekin filled with spicy dipping sauce.  The hot wings is chicken wings covered in vegetable oil and salt. They're deep fried and after they're deep fried they get coated in Buffalo wing sauce. Buffalo wing sauce is made with butter, vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and hot sauce. The Canadian favorite called Poutine. Poutine consists of French fries, cheese curds and brown gravy The gravy is chicken, veal or turkey. Some people who make this dish add pulled pork. Instead of the gravy they use barbecue sauce on it. You UK fans will love these three appetizers. Of course at my two 1943 British American Gastro Pubs in New York City we serve your deep fried Snickers Bar. The chefs and I are still working on some other deserts. If you have some desert recipes. Las Vegas Review Journal March two thousand fifteen Katz's column. "So very Barry. We're inching closer...closer...closer to a final sign-off of Manilow's residency at Westgate's International Theatre. Dates he would have filled in April and May at the theatre have been taken off the schedule, but we do anticipate a return to the stage by Manilow this summer. He headlined the room from 2005 to 2010." When did I headline the International Theatre thought Barry. That was Brian Murphy who headlined at the Las Vegas Hilton between two thousand five and two thousand nine. Not to two thousand ten. Then for two years two thousand ten and two thousand eleven Brian was at the Paris
on the Las Vegas strip said Barry. What have I been saying all a long. I don't like Las Vegas and no
I didn't sign with the Westgate. I'm going down under to Australia and New Zealand in June. Then on Monday August twenty seventh I'm doing one night only on the Blenheim Palace grounds. I did my first concert at Blenheim Palace on Saturday August twenty seven nineteen eighty three. That was thirty five years ago said Barry. In the fall I'm doing three months on Broadway at the Cort Theatre. I'll be at the Cort Theatre in September, October and November. Then in December I'll be at the Barclay Center for three nights. That's Saturday December twenty-ninth, Sunday December thirtieth and Monday December thirty first. Friday December twenty eighth thru Monday December thirty first is the BMIFC's annual New Years Eve Party Weekend. The party weekend will be at the Grand Hyatt  New York City next to the Grand Central Terminal. That's where the BMIFC had their New York City Rhythm Convention in June of two thousand fifteen. I did Great  Performance's on PBS Wednesday June seventeenth. Then I also did a BMIFC members only concert outdoors at the Delacort Theatre in Central Park on Saturday June twentieth two thousand fifteen. Then in two thousand nineteen during the summer I'll be doing the outdoor sheds (Amphitheaters) across Canada and the US. Garry asked if I was playing  Nikon Amphitheater at Jones Beach  State Park Wantagh? I told Garry the amphitheater is now called Norwell Health Amphitheater. And no I'm not playing there on my New York City stop. I will be playing Central Park's fifty five acre Great Lawn.  The
concert will be on Monday June seventeen two thousand nineteen. I told Garry David asked Mayor Bill de Blasio if I could do a concert on Central Park's Great Lawn. Mayor de Blasio said yes I could do a one night only free concert. He told the mayor that I always come out at the end of my concerts and do encores. The mayor said "I know Barry Manilow does encores at the end of his concerts. Since I've been to a bunch of his concerts here in New York City." By the way Carly called me to tell me that Brian Murphy has extended his UK shows to include Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and Dublin. Carly and her friend Rita were asked by Jacqueline to go to the O2 shows in September. Rita told Jacqueline that she, Zoey and Carly were going to my opening night concert on Broadway at the Cort Theatre. Your opening night said Garry. I've been wanting to do another short Broadway run. David got me three months September, October and November said Barry. I already got you and Denise tickets to my show in November. I did tell Carly I was getting you and Denise tickets to my show on Broadway. Carly then asked me "Barry why don't you invite  Garry and Denise over to our house for Thanksgiving this year. Thanksgiving is on Thursday November twenty second of this year. So I got you and Denise tickets for two of my Broadway shows. Saturday November twenty fourth and Sunday November twenty fifth.  Barry said goodbye to Garry. Then he went back on the internet to check out the latest news. He saw fans talking about him singing Let Freedom Ring at Bill Clinton's first inaugural concert back in nineteen ninety three.  That was Brian Murphy who sang that song at Bill Clinton's first inaugural concert back then. The only time I ever sang Let Freedom Ring was on Fiesta At Fords Theatre in nineteen ninety two. President George H.W.  and Barbara Bush were in attendance. That's the only time I've ever sang Let Freedom Ring live on TV. Brian Murphy  has also sang that song twice on A Capitol Fourth. He asked me if he could sing that song on PBS' A Capitol Fourth on the capital lawn with the president and first lady in attendance. Now as I have said many times before I don't sing for politicians or for political reasons. Yes I vote every year but who I vote for is no ones business. I don't even give money to any politicians for their political campaigns. If it's for charity of course I'll do the concert and give money. But if it's for some one running for a political office no I won't do a concert for that purpose. Brian Murphy gives money to politicians for their political campaigns and I don't. I don't think celebrities should stick their noses in politics unless they're running for office. Like a few celebrities did.  I know Brian Murphy voted for in two thousand sixteen Hillary Clinton. That's because he's a democrat said Barry. He also went to a thousand dollar
a plate fundraiser for Hillary Clinton that  was held in Palm Springs California. Barbra Streisand was the entertainer for the fundraiser. Brian went to the Hillary Clinton fundraiser with Gregory Knofler his husband. Brian and Gregory go out a lot with Suzanne Somers and her husband Alan Hamel.

Hi Everyone it's me Barry. Yes I know your bummed out about the Tropicana  deciding not to have revolving headliners. Then there's no new years eve at the Tropicana either. That's because they had already booked Tony Bennett for four nights Friday December twenty eighth, Saturday twenty ninth, Sunday December thirtieth and Monday December thirty first. I'm very bummed about that.  Now I did find somewhere else to preform for New Years Eve this December 29th, 30th and 31st of this year. I'm doing three nights at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn for New Years Eve this year said Barry. My three concerts will be Saturday December twenty ninth, Sunday December thirtieth and Monday December thirty first. The annual BMIFC New Years Eve Party Weekend will take place at the Grand Hyatt. That's where the BMIFC had their New York City Rhythm Convention back in two thousand fifteen. Remember I did PBS' Great Performances at Lincoln Center. That was Wednesday June 17th which was my seventy first birthday. Those three concerts will kick off my Paradise Café II Tour. Then next year two thousand nineteen in May I'll be in the UK. I'm doing the following arenas in Scotland, England, Ireland and Northern Ireland. They are in order Glasgow SEE Hydro 13,000, Newcastle upon Tyne Metro Radio Arena 11,000, Manchester Arena 21,000, Sheffield Fly DSA Arena 13,000, Birmingham Arena 14,150, London SSE Arena Wembley 12,000,  Cardiff Motorpoint Arena 7,500. Dublin 3 Arena 13,000 and Belfast SSE Arena 10,000. Remember when you UK fans would get all "Trembley at Wembley" years ago.  Then in the summer June, July and August I'm doing outdoor venues in Canada and the US.  I heard from Marc that Brian Murphy is doing Mexico City, Alexandra VA, Manchester UK, Leeds UK and London UK. I still have some fans who think I've signed on the doted line with the Westgate (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton). No I haven't signed with the Westgate. I'd rather tour all over than be in Las Vegas. The UK, Canada and US dates will be to support my 2:00AM Paradise Café II album. So put on your thinking caps fans and decided where you'd like to have the BMIFC's two thousand nineteen convention. Try to pick somewhere we haven't had a convention before. The Mayflower has gotten great reviews from the San Antonio theatre critics. The two month run was sold out in a week and a half. In September and October The Mayflower goes to the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia for it's second regional. You will see Jack Feldman and Bruce Sussman running around there. You won't see me there because I'll be

"On Broadway" at the Cort Theatre for a three month Broadway run. Right now there are still seats available for the added November Cort Theatre dates.

Interesting News.

Rita sent Carly an article from Vital Vegas that dealt with her husband Barry Manilow. The Vital Vegas article mentioned that Barry was going to start his Westgate shows in April.  Barry's still going to be in San Antonio Texas in April thought Carly. Barry, Adrienne, Enoch, Jack, Marty and Bruce's latest musical The Mayflower would still be at the Majestic Theatre. The Mayflower would be at at the Majestic Theatre from March first till Sunday April twenty ninth. There was no way Barry was going to be at the Westgate in April or any other month this year.  Maybe that's when Brian Murphy would start his run at the Westgate. Carly read the article thoroughly and it did say Barry Manilow not Brian Murphy. Carly made a quick call to David Taylor to tell him she sent him the Vital Vegas article that dealt with Barry. David said he had already read the article. Marc saw the article then emailed it to Garry, Barry and me. I'm sure Barry will be livid when he see that article said David. More like pissed major said Carly. I was going through my scrapbooks which has my tickets from every Barry Manilow concert I ever attended. Barry did back in nineteen eighty eight played at Caesars in Lake Tahoe Then in nineteen eighty nine he did Caesars in Lake Tahoe again. Then in

nineteen ninety five played Harrah's Resort and Casino in Lake Tahoe Nevada. Carly had tickets for all the shoes shows. Carly even had a New Years Eve sweatshirt from Barry's nineteen eighty eight New Years Eve concert at Caesars in Lake Tahoe. I even found ticket stubs for Harrah's in Reno Nevada. Nineteen ninety nine and two thousand five. I went to the Caesars Lake Tahoe shows  and the Harrah's Reno shows with Rita and Zoey. Barry will play Lake Tahoe and Reno. But he won't play  in Las Vegas. Barry's still up in the air about where to do his New Years Eve two thousand eighteen shows said Carly. That's because he was suppose to play the Tropicana in Atlantic City this New Years Eve. But then right before Barry left  for San Antonio he got a call from The Tropicana. Tropicana called Barry to tell him they made mistake and forgot they had signed Tony Bennett first.

Right now Barry isn't sure where he's going to preform this New Years Eve said Carly. I know that fans were pissed when they found out that the Tropicana decided not to have revolving headliners. Then they were even more pissed when Barry had to tell them he wasn't playing the Tropicana for New Years Eve this year. Barry was very bummed about not playing the Tropicana on New Years Eve. Carly said goodbye to David so she could get the dogs outside. Carly got the dogs out and once she came back in the phone rang. Carly picked up the phone to answer it. Hi sunshine said Barry. Hi Barry said Carly back to him. So what's up she asked him? I got in contact with the Barclay Center to see if I could do three nights in December. I told the person I talked to that I checked their online website and scrolled through their calendar for this year. I told them I noticed none of the dates in December were filled with anything. The person said ok what dates in December do you want to play here? I said I want to do three nights in December. Saturday December 29th, Sunday December 30th and Monday December 31st. The guy I talked to said I'm marking you down right now for those three nights. Then I called the Grand Hyatt Hotel and talked to a woman at the reservation desk. I told her who I was and she said "How can I help you Mr. Manilow." I'm doing three nights at the Barclay  at the end of December. I usually have a New Years Eve Party Weekend to go along with my doing concerts during New years Eve. I'd like to have my annual BMIFC New Years Eve Party Weekend at your hotel. The party weekend will at the end of December. I need  Friday December 28th, Saturday December 29th, Sunday December 30t and Monday 31st. She said I'll mark it on the calendar. Just call us back when you know how many rooms you need. Then we'll let you know what the group rate will be. So I put an announcement out on my Google Plus page and my website said Barry. Mark me, Rita, Zoey and Julie for the fan clubs New Years Eve Party Weekend said Carly. What happened to  your friend Abby said Barry. Abby is no longer a fan of yours, She's always been a a Brian Murphy fan.  s far back as I can remember Abby has always loved both you and Brian Murphy.  Why she quit being a fan of yours that I don't know.

A New Look.

Rita emailed Carly a few photos from Brain Murphy's Florida show. Carly was looking at them when Barry walked in. Who's that guy? Barry asked. That's Brian Murphy with a shorter hair style. He told his fans at his shows in Florida at his age  that it was time for shorter hair cut.  I'm three years older than Brian said Barry and I'm letting my hair grown out a little. Remember the poll from  last year. I asked you fans "Of all the different hair styles I've had. Which one did you like the best?" The over whelming choice was my hair style from 1987 to 1991. The longer fuller looking hair style. So I decided to give that hair style a modern twist. So what do you think? asked Barry. Carly turned around to checkout Barry new style. Wow! I love it said Carly. It makes you look totally hot. He
smiled and said cheeseburger. Whenever Barry smiled and said cheeseburger Carly knew that Barry was mugging for the camera. She took his photo with her cell phone. Upload the photo and let me know what the fans think said Barry. Carly uploaded the photo and sent it to sisters Rita and Zoey to see what they thought. Rita replied back and said "Who's that gorgeous guy?" Carly replied back to Rita saying that gorgeous guy is Barry. At the end of last year Barry asked us fans of all of his hair styles which one did we like the best. The over whelming choice was his hair style from 1987 to 1991 during Barry's Big Fun Tour de Force, Barry Manilow Live On Broadway and Showstoppers tours. That must be a photo from back in the late eighties early ninety's said Rita. Actually no it's not said Carly. I just kook that photo with my cell phone. I took the photo at 4:45PM. That's a current photo
as of today. Barry said I can pass the photo around to my Barry Buddies. That's why he mugged for the camera and said cheeseburger. So you can also pass that around to other fans said Carly.  Now
Barry thought Brian's new hair style was a little too short. Barry hates the spikey look on the top. Remember back in the nineties Barry had that spiked look on top. Oh yeah I remember that said Rita. Also remember the brown hair with the blond chunks Brian had in his hair. Barry said that didn't look good on Brain at all. Then there was the grey hair look said Rita. Because Brian had grey hair for a while. We now know that Brian colors his hair since it's no longer grey. Maybe he'll  quit coloring his hair one day said Carly. You do know that Shirley and the fans who follow her Facebook page are still thinking Barry's going to do the Westgate in Las Vegas said Rita. Not going to happen since
Barry detests Las Vegas said Carly. In fact Barry said the Tropicana changed their mind about having rotating headliners. So what's Barry going to do instead? asked Rita. Barry said summer road trip across Canada and the US. Just like last year he's playing the outdoor venues. Then Barry, band members and backup singers are going by tour bus. Just like they did two years ago in two thousand fifteen during the Brooklyn Blues Tour. Barry's taking four tour buses on tour next year. The tour is being called the Paradise  Café II Tour. After Barry's new jazz album that comes out on Thursday November fifteen of this year. Barry's also doing another run on Broadway. Three months at The Cort Theatre from September third thru November thirtieth. That's Tuesday thru Sunday with Monday's off . That's because Monday's are black with no shows on Broadway. This is what the tour logo looks like  on the tour buses said Carly. Carly sent Rita a photo of Barry's tour buses. You can also pass that photo on to other fans. Now are you sitting down? said Carly. Why? asked Rita. Because  Barry's playing Blenheim Palace for the thirty fifth anniversary of the Concert At Blenheim
Palace that he did on Saturday August twenty seventh  nineteen eighty three. This time around the concert will be on Monday August twenty seventh two thousand eighteen. Barry's going to bring out
the conga drums and the safari jacket for The Lion Sleeps Tonight. he's going to start the show with You're Looking Hot Tonight like he did back then. He'll take everyone back to New York City by doing New York City Rhythm. Then he'll also do Oh Julie and No Other Love. Least we forget  Barry "Mr. Dynomite" Manilow. Then there's his rock and roll number Some Kind Of Friend. One Voice with a chorus backing him up. I mentioned he needed to do Lay Me Down and sit at the edge of the stage with his legs dangling down. Barry's already brought himself three pairs of athletic shoes to wear in the second half.

35 Years Ago Saturday August 217, 1983.

Hi Friends
It's me Barry once again. Thirty five years ago on Saturday August twenty seven nineteen eighty three I did a one night only concert at Blenheim Palace near Woodstock Oxfordshire UK. The one night only concert was on the Blenheim Palace ground in front of over forty thousand fans, the Duke and the Duchess. I told David my manager wouldn't it be nice If I did another one might only concert to celebrate the thirty fifth anniversary on that first magical night. David was going to get in contact with the current Duke of Marlboro. However the Duke got in touch with my ex-manager Garry Kief. He asked Garry if I would do another one night only concert on the Blenheim Palace grounds. Garry  told the Duke he was no longer my manager. He did give the Duke my current manager David his phone number. David then called me to ask if I wanted to do another concert at Blenheim Palace. I told David yes I would love to do another concert there so that's what I'm doing on Monday August 27, 2018. Take care.

Bad News Good News

Hi Everyone it's me Barry. I've got some bad news and I've got some good news. First the bad news to get that out of the way. The Tropicana Resort and Casino has decided not to have rotating headliners in their theatre. Then David called me to tell me that the Tropicana had already booked someone for New Years Eve December 30 and 31, 2018. That's before the booked me into their theatre. Yes I'm pretty bummed about this. I still want to play Atlantic City for New Years Eve 2018. Now for the good news. David's been looking into me playing another resort/casino in Atlantic City. Well he found me somewhere else to play this New Years Eve. There use to be a resort/casino along the boardwalk called the Revel. The Revel folded up in two thousand fourteen. . It was brought by some guy from Florida. But his ides never came to fruition. The property was finally bought by a company called Integrated Properties. Integrated Properties has chosen to name the resort/Casino Ocean Resort and Casino. Ocean's Resort and Casino is set to open in June or July of two thousand eighteen. The wife of one of the guys of Integrated Properties is a huge fan of mine. When she heard her husband was thinking about having me do some shows. She told her husband that he had to sign me up for at least two weeks worth of shows. So I'm going to do two weeks at the end of this year two thousand  and eighteen. I'll be at their five thousand seven hundred seat theatre from Sunday December twenty third two thousand eighteen thru January fifth two thousand nineteen.. Now I don't know what their theatre is being called. When it was the Revel the theatre was called the Ovation Theatre. Tickets for the two weeks at the Ocean Resort and Casino will go on sale at the end of March. When I know I'll let you know exactly what day the tickets will go on sale.

Headed To San Antonio

Barry took a cab to Penn Central train station at eleven am. He was leaving New York City for New Orleans on Amtrak's Crescent train. His train would leave at two fifteen pm. Barry would then get into New Orleans on Tuesday at seven thirty two pm. Barry was staying over for one night. After he got to his hotel he went out for dinner. He also stopped at Café Du Monde for some Beigents to go. He would eat them on the train for breakfast on Wednesday. Wednesday morning Barry was going to get on the Sunset Limited at nine am headed for San Antonio Texas. The Sunset Limited would make it into San Antonio at five minutes after twelve pm. Bruce and Jack were going to meet Barry's train. Jack asked Bruce why does Barry take the train when he can fly? Bruce said when Barry not in a rush he loves to take the train. When you fly all you see out the window is clouds, sun and very small stuff on the ground. When you go by rail you look out the window and see the gorgeous scenery. Just like in two thousand fifteen when Barry, his band and backup singers use tour buses for his tour . Barry has mentioned he's love to do that again. Use tour buses to travel from concert to concert. Tour buses are what most of country artists use when they go on tour said Bruce. Barry's train pulled into the San Antonio Amtrak station exactly on time. Bruce told Barry that Jack wonder why he took the train to get here. I told Jack why you came by train said Bruce. I also told him about the tour buses. Speaking of tour buses I 'm going to use them again in two thousand nineteen when I go on my Paradise Café II Tour said Barry. Bruce and Jack took Barry to get his rental vehicle. Once there Barry got his SUV he took off for the house David had rented for him. Barry went inside to unpack. Then he went back out and got into his rented SUV to go to the supermarket near by. Barry was in the mood for some Chinese stir fry. He was also going to stop at the States Store which sold liquor, wine and ETC. He got a couple of  bottles of great wines and some ale. He headed home to put the groceries, wine and ale away. Then he called Carly to tell her he made it safely to San Antonio. David called me on the train down here to tell me the Tropicana is choosing not to have rotating headliners. My New Years Eve shows have been canceled there. So now I have to find somewhere else to preform on New Years Eve  said Barry.  Luckily I hadn't announced the sale of tickets yet. The Cort Theatre's three month Broadway run is still on the schedule. The Cort Theatre people asked me to do a third month at their theatre due to popular demand typed Barry. In two thousand nineteen I've decided to go on another summer road trip and play the outdoor venues. Just like I did last year said Barry. I still have the list of outdoor venues I played last summer. Plus I'm adding some outdoor venues in Canada. Edmonton The Brick Field 33,234, Manitoba Investors Group Field 40,000, Regina Mosaic Stadium 33, 350 and Toronto Budweiser Stage 16,000. Over on my Google Plus page I posted a question about where we should have our BMIFC two thousand nineteen convention. I also put up all the cities I intend to do concerts in. Denver has been marked off since we had a convention there last year. I am doing five nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, four nights at The Greek Theatre and two nights at the Aloha Stadium in Halawa neighborhood of Honolulu Hawaii. After you fans give me a list of cities. I'll post the list so you can vote for where you want next years convention to be said Barry. It has to be in one of the cities I'm preforming in next year. Remember The First Barry Manilow Convention in Toronto in nineteen eighty five. I played Kingswood outdoor venue. The Manilow Memphis Convention in Memphis in nineteen ninety seven  In Memphis I played two nights at Mud Island said Barry since it seats only five thousand people total. Denver BMIFC Convention in two thousand seventeen. Most all the outdoor concerts are one night only. Except for Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre and Aloha Stadium which are more than one night only. Shirley is telling her group that I'm going to preform at the Westgate Resort and casino. That's not going to happen ever. I do know that Brian Murphy was suppose to do the Westgate Resort and Casino this year. But so far he hasn't announced any dates for the Westgate said Barry. So far it's two nights in Mexico City, two nights in Vienna Virginia,  three nights in London and one night in Manchester. Carly thinks either he's being quite or else he's on vacation somewhere down the road. Sorry for the pun said Barry. Davis thinks that Brian's having a nip here and tuck there. Brian's had loads of plastic surgery. The only plastic surgery I've ever had if you want to call it that was to my nose. Years ago I got up in the middle of the night to use my bathroom and I went the wrong way. I must have thought I was at the house in Palm Springs. When in reality I was at my Malibu beach house. I broke my nose and had to have a plastic surgeon re-set it.  Some people must be so vain . As for me I'm not vain I just let nature take it's course said Barry.  Everyone out east please take care. I heard from Carly you fans out east are having a Nor-Easter with high winds, rain and snow. By the way thanks for all your suggestions everyone. I have a journal that I write all your suggestions in. When I used one of your suggestions I put a line through it. So keep those suggestions coming friends.

Senior Moment People?

Hi Everyone. It's me Barry coming at you from San Antonio Texas. Are you fans having a senior moment? I think you having a senior moment. Now my wife Carly didn't. She knew what happened twenty five years ago on Saturday August twenty seventh back in nineteen eighty three.  A very important one night only concert on the grounds of the Duke of Marlboro's palace. It was turned into a VHS tape called The Concert At Blenheim Palace. There was also a documentary. Then later on a DVD that included the concert in it's entirety along with the documentary. Carly said wouldn't it be nice if you could do another concert at Blenheim to commemorate the one twenty five years ago. I thought she's got a super idea. So I decided to contact the Duke's family to ask about doing another one night only concert on the Blenheim palace grounds. Guess what they called me first about me doing another one night only concert on their palace grounds. So on Monday August twenty seven two thousand eighteen I'll be doing my second Concert At Blenheim Palace This is to celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary  of the first Concert at Blenheim Palace. By doing a second concert on the exact same spot. This time I'm hoping more of you fans will be able to come. I'll be opening the show with You're Looking Hot Tonight just like I did twenty five years ago. I've also dusted off my conga drums. That's to open the second half with The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Now "Drums say I'm going on a Target run. What do you need?" Then I'm bringing my safari jacket out of the moth balls. It will definitely get a good cleaning before I wear it. Can't forget Some Kind Of Friend so you can follow  my bouncing tush  Or taking you back to NYC to do a little New York City Rhythm and No Other Love. Of course  I'll do It's A Miracle and One Voice with a chorus. 'll definitely have some surprises for all of you fans who come. Great News Barry Buddies.

Great news Barry Buddies. I've been asked by the Cort Theatre people if I would extend my Cort Theatre run through the end of November. I said yes to them. David did let them know about the Thursday November fifteen 2:00AM Paradise Café album debut concert. Other then the four Mondays that Broadway is dark and the night of my album debut. I will on the Cort Theatre stage doing my Paradise Café shows in  November. That's a total of  twenty five more concerts. Twenty six in September, twenty six in October and twenty five in November for a grand total of seventy seven shows. Tickets for the November shows are on sale right now. I'll be on the June 2018 cover of GQ magazine. I only said I'd do the magazine under one condition. The one condition is the entire GQ magazine deals with me, my family and friends. That the cover would be me on stage at the piano which  it is. I will be introducing your to my songwriting partner Bruce Sussman. My co-producer Eddie Arkin. Eddie's been my co-producer since my Swing Street album that came out in nineteen eighty six. Calling Dr. Carly Manilow DVM. Meet our fur babies Maggie yellow Labrador Retriever age six and Max age four.  Thunder was a male Labrador Retriever that Brooklyn Pet Care was a puppy raiser for. Thunder went back to America's Vet Dogs. Thunder was placed with a veteran named Charlie Fordham. Charlie has PTSD so Thunder will be a great comfort to him. Now the staff at Brooklyn Pet Care found a basset hound puppy their garbage dumpster inside a cardboard box. Carly went outside to throw out the garbage bag when she heard a little whimper coming out of a box inside their dumpster. She ran and got Dr. Jeff who jumped into the dumpster. He found the closed up cardboard box handed it to Carly. She took the cardboard box inside then she  used a knife to split the duck tape and open the cardboard box. Inside was a little Basset Hound puppy. He got checked out, Dr. Jeff Houston adopted him. Dr. Jeff named him Fred after the Fred The Basset Hound comic strip.
So that's how Fred got his name. Got to go do some stuff.

Carly got a text message from her Barry Buddy Rita. Rita mentioned that Brian Murphy announced on his Facebook page that he was doing Wolf Trap in Vienna Virginia for two nights Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th. Fans who like Shirley's Facebook page were wondering what happened to Las Vegas. Brian Murphy was supposedly going to announce Las Vegas real soon. That was something the Review Journal's Katz posted in his entertainment column. Brain said he wanted to go back to Las Vegas. I just got a text message from Rita Carly told Barry.  Rita said Brian Murphy is doing Wolf Trap in Vienna Virginia in June for two nights. That's Friday June eighth and Saturday June  ninth.
Fans over at Shirley's Facebook page for you were wondering why Brian Murphy hadn't announced his Westgate dates yet. Some of your fans are also Brian Murphy fans. That's why those fans over on Shirley's Facebook page are wondering why Brian hasn't announced Las Vegas yet. Rita did check
a ticket site that  has tickets on sale for Westgate shows. They have shows on sale for Clint Holmes and Earl Turner, Dirk Arthur and Sexy. But nothing for Brian Murphy and Dee Snyder's musical.  Who knows why Brian Murphy hasn't announced his Westgate run yet. Barry and Carly were met at the Portland Amtrak train station by Garry and Denise.  Garry and Denise took Barry and Carly to their house. Now tomorrow afternoon we're going to a Portland winery for a wine tasting said Garry. Now that sounds fine to me said Barry. Once they got to Garry and Denise's house Garry showed them to the guest bedroom. Barry brought with him the DVD of him on stage with Tears For Fears singing their song Shout with them. He actually made Garry a copy of the original video tape. Next week I'll have to take you and Carly to my newest venture said Garry.  Now what have you gotten yourself into said Barry. I've started my own Craft Brewery company. It's called GCK American Ale said Garry.   Can we carry this in my 1943 British American Gastro Pub's asked Barry. Garry said sure you can carry it in your gastro pubs.  By the way I'm going to be on the June cover issue of GQ said Barry. I know my fans have been wanting me on the cover of GQ for a longtime.  I just sent  Cyndi Lauper's Joni Mitchell album to the mastering studios. Cyndi and I did two duets on the album. Chelsea Morning and River said Barry. By the way David Taylor has gotten me a two month run on Broadway at the Cort Theatre for September and October. Carly heard from her Barry Buddy Abby that Brian Murphy wanted to do another Broadway run. He one in nineteen seventy six/nineteen seventy seven at the Uris Theatre and in two thousand thirteen at the St. James. I've only done one stint on Broadway at the Gershwin Theatre. I was there with my Barry Manilow Live On Broadway show from April eighteen to June tenth nineteen eighty nine. I did a total of forty six shows. Barry got a call from David. He told Barry that the Cort Theatre wanted to extend his run through the end of November. Barry got off the phone with David. With my Cort Theatre shows I was doing a total of fifty shows in September and October. That was David who just called the Cort Theatre just asked David if I would extend my run through November thirtieth. I told David yes. He then said he would tell them about my 2:00AM Paradise Café II album debut at the Rose Theatre on Thursday November fifteenth. September twenty six shows plus  October twenty six shows plus November twenty five shows equals seventy seven shows total so far. When I get back I'll have to announce the November dates at the Cort Theatre said Barry. Barry and Carly left on Saturday to come back to New York City. Barry would home for a week before he headed down to San Antonio Texas.

Tropicana Schedule 20189 and 2019.

Hi Fans
It's men coming at you from the rails. Yes I said rails. Today is Wednesday January 31st. I am on Amtrak's Empire Builder headed towards Portland Oregon. Me and Carly got an invite to spend some time with Garry and Denise. So while I'm on two weeks of much needed vacation. I'm giving you all the schedule for this year and next years Tropicana dates. As you can see it's two weeks in December two thousand eighteen. Three weeks in February, June and October of two thousand nineteen. If you go over top my Facebook page and go into the Convention/Parties section you will see all the latest information for this years Party Weekend in Atlantic City at the Tropicana. That's New Years Eve weekend. Friday December twenty eighth through Monday December thirty first. The Tropicana is where I'm kicking off my Paradise Tour II in December. The stage sets will be an intimate New York Jazz club called the Paradise Café. Dean Lighting Company is creating my Paradise Café night club sign. With this tour I'm going back to my roots which is being a jazz artist. That's how my career started as a jazz artist back in nineteen eighty four. Nineteen eighty four was the year I put out my 2:00AM Paradise Café jazz album. During the show's we'll be doing songs from 2:00AM Paradise Café, Swing Street, Singing With The Big Bands and 2:00AM Paradise Café II. Along with taking a few of my contemporary songs that I have given them them a jazz feel. Kion and I worked on a duet to Big City Blues. That's the song I did with The Velvet Fog Mel Torme'. Then Shelly and I will duet on the song Blue. I did that song as a duet with Sarah Vaughan. Then on my Big Fun On Swing Street special I did that song with Carmen McRae. Then Billy, Kion and Me will be a trio on the song Hey Mambo. That song I did with Kid Creole and the Coconuts on  the Swing Street album. Kid Creole and the Coconuts were also on my Big Fun On Swing Street special. Along with Gerry Mulligan, Dana Robbins, Stanley Clark, Carmen McRae and Phyllis Hyman. I'm thinking about doing a 2:00AM Paradise Café television special for this coming fall. Take care everyone.

Exciting news everyone. David Taylor just called me while I'm out here in Portland. He said he was on a conference call with The Shubert Organizations Chairman Philip J. Smith and President Bernard E. Wamkel. David said both gentlemen said yes to my doing a two month run at their Cort Theatre this year. I'm doing a short run on Broadway In September and October of this year. Yes my musical The Mayflower will still be at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia in September and October for it's second regional. Bruce and Jack will be in Philadelphia to check up on things as needed.  I'll be on Broadway at the Cort Theatre with my Barry Manilow's Paradise Café show. My Paradise Café show runs from Saturday September 1st through Wednesday October 31st. Now I won't be on stage on Mondays . Since Mondays are lights out for theatres in Times Square. Now underneath the add for my Cort Theatre shows is the September and October 2018 calendar dates for my shows. That's so you can see the dates I'll be at the Cort Theatre. I'm doing fifty two shows at the Cort Theatre. Tickets will go on sale Friday March second at 10AM ET. Brian Murphy told his manager Gregory Knofler he wanted to do a short Broadway Theatre run. However Gregory told Brian he couldn't get him a theatre right now. You know the saying It's all in who you know. Well it's so true since I know a lot of people connected to Broadway Theatre. Right now I've got four musicals on Broadway. Gershwin Theatre revival of Copacabana, Marquis Theatre Harmony, Palace Theatre 15 Minutes and Broadway Theatre Here At The Mayflower. So get ready for me Barry Manilow on Broadway once again.

Barry heard from Marc that Brian Murphy would be at Clive' Davis' Pre-Grammy party. Marc also heard Clive's party was going to be at the Sheraton Times Square.  Someone asked me yesterday if I was going to Clive's Pre-Grammy Party Barry told Marc. I told them no I was not. Why not they asked me? I said I Clive Davis didn't invite me and he hates me. Brian Murphy was the one who got Clive Davis to give me a recording contract. Clive figured my first album would tank. Well it did not tank at all said Barry. In fact my first album 2:00AM Paradise Café came out certified quadruple platinum. It debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 200 Album chart. My first single When October Goes came out certified quadruple platinum too. As well as debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. I went on the road to promote my first record album. I called the tour my Paradise Café Tour which morphed into my Copacabana Tour. Tickets for both tours sold out within a half hour of tickets going on sale. 2:00AM Paradise Café won me every Grammy I was nominated for. So that's why Clive hated me because I was so successful with my first album. Then every album after that one that I put out on Arista did the same thing. Clive wanted me to bomb and my first album to tank so he could let me go from Arista. Well I didn't bomb and my first album didn't tank so he couldn't let go of me. Now I left Arista when Clive was told to retire and LA Reed got his job. In two thousand I was at a party that was attended by Glen Barros the head of Concord Records. I liked what Concord Records stood for. AT that party Glen Barros asked me if I wanted to join his Concord Record label. I said yes I would love to sign with Concord Records since I was now looking for a new record label.  That's just what I did I signed with Concord Records and I've been with them ever since. My Williamsburg album came out to late to get nominated for Grammys this year. Maybe in two thousand nineteen it will get nominated for Grammys. Brian Murphy's album This Is My Town also came out to late for this years Grammys. I heard that Brian Murphy sang New York New York, This Is My Town, Mandy and Copacabana last night said Marc. Now tonight I'm going to the Concord Records Grammy Party with Carly said Barry. I'm entertainer for the party. The party is at The Grand Hyatt's Empire State Ballroom. I found out that my good friend Kenny G. is coming to The Concord Records Grammy Party. I asked him to bring his saxophone with him.  I told him I was doing two songs off of 2:00AM Paradise Café II. So I wanted him to play saxophone on the songs I'm doing tonight. I told Kenny I was going to do two songs off my next album 2:00AM Paradise Café II which he is on. I've decided to do  these songs The Paradise Café and New York City Blues from 2:00AM Paradise Café II, Then Big City Blues duet with Kion and Billy and Night Song from 2:00AM Paradise Café. My band and backup singers will be on stage to preform with me said Barry. Tomorrow afternoon Carly and are leaving at 3:40PM on Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited heading towards Chicago. We get into Chicago Tuesday at 9:45AM. There's a four and a half hour layover in Chicago. We're taking the 2:15PM Empire Builder out to Portland. We should arrive in Portland on Thursday at 2:55PM.  Garry invited Carly and me for a visit. We're staying with him and Denise at their house. We'll be there for one week and two days. Then we leave on the following Thursday at 4:45PM. We get into Chicago Saturday at 3:55PM. We have a five hour layover in Chicago. We're leaving at 9:30PM. We'll get back here to New York City on Sunday at 6:23PM. We will be gone for two whole weeks. I definitely need this vacation said Barry. Dr. Jeff Houston who works at Brooklyn Pet Care Veterinary Hospital will be taking care of the dogs. Dr. Jeff Houston use to work with Carly at the Bronx Zoo. We're leaving Monday January the twenty- ninth and we get home on Sunday February the eleventh. Then I'm home till Monday February  twenty-six. When I leave for San Antonio Texas. I'll leave Monday on Amtrak's Crescent for New Orleans. I'll spend one night there. Then I leave on the Sunset Limited for San Antonio. I'll be in San Antonio with my songwriting partners during March and April. Then I'll come back home at the beginning of May.  If you get a chance Marc you need to try Diet Coke's bold new flavors. Ginger Lime, Feisty Cherry, Zesty Blood Orange and Twisted Mango. I like the Ginger Lime and the Feisty Cherry. I already love the Diet Coke with Lime said Barry. I also love Fresca which is a grapefruit flavored soda. I'm taking my favorite metal container with me when I go to San Antonio. My metal container keep my cold drink cold drink for hours. Vikki and I finished the It's Just Another New Years Eve Party Weekend  itinerary. I'll be announcing the party weekend in March so fans can start planning their trip to AC said Barry.

Carly could still see what was on others Facebook pages without having a Facebook account. She went to take a look at this one Facebook page for Barry.  The page owner would tell everyone that she was BFF's with Barry which Carly knew she wasn't. The page owner posted the link to the Kats January 17th entertainment column. It talked about Clint Holmes and Earl Turner's show coming to the Westgate. Then he also mentioned Barry by saying the following. "Barry Manilow is expected to finally be announced as the hotel's resident Superstar attraction, performing three weekends a month through 2018." Carly emailed the URL to Barry's manager David Taylor. She also emailed the URL to Garry and to Marc so they could see this. Barry was back in London for the book signing and the four O2 concerts. So he called Carly to checkup on her and their four doggies. That's when Carly read Barry Kats' column in the January 17th Review Journal. She let him know that Garry, Marc and David had been emailed the URL to the Review Journal Kat's column. After I come back from the UK I'm headed to Atlantic City on  Thursday January 25th said Barry. Friday January 26th I'm going to be on Extra with host Tanika Ray. She'll be interviewing me on the Tropicana Showroom stage. That's when I'm announcing my six year run at the Tropicana's Showroom at that time. I will be there   February, June and October. Each month I'm doing three weekends with four shows each weekend.
The shows are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'll also be showing everyone the poster for my Tropicana shows said Barry. Carly and Barry said their goodbyes. As soon as Carly got off the phone with Barry  David Barry's manager called. Carly told David  that Suzanne told the fans in Shirley's Facebook page that Barry had signed a contract with the Westgate. Suzanne has become chummy with Shirley, Keisha and Gillian  Carly told him. I got that from my friend Abby who still has a Facebook account. Abby said Shirley mentioned that Suzanne said she would take her, Keisha and Gillian backstage to meet Barry after his opening night show. That's interesting said David  since Barry will be on vacation for two weeks. Then he's back in the recording  studio to finish up 2:00AM Paradise Café II. Barry's recording the album over at The Brewery Recording Studios in Brooklyn said David. Barry's opening night isn't until Thursday December 20th at Tropicana in Atlantic City. Barry signed a six year contract with the Tropicana. Barry will be there from December 2018 to October 2024. He's doing December of this year. Then February, June and October 2019 to 2024. It's three weekends each month with for nights Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday each of the three weekends. Suzanne liked the idea of Barry being Westgate's resident headlining superstar.  Oh one more thing said Carly. I saw this on Twitter yesterday after dinner. Photo of Suzanne. To the right of her it said "I'm happy about [President Trump]... And now my career is over!" I know she's a Democrat. Barry told me that she was said Carly. After Carly got off the phone with David Taylor she let the dogs out. Carly would be very glad when Barry got home since Tucker their Bull Terrier really missed Barry a lot. Carly ended up putting Tucker's doggie bed upstairs in Barry's at home recording studio. Since that's where Carly usually found him curled up on Barry's oversized cushy chair. Tucker really loved Barry. Carly had also sent the photo of Suzanne to Barry. Once he got home Barry told Carly that Suzanne's career wasn't over just because Donald Trump is president.
I take it Suzanne's another one of those Democrats who's gone ballistic since Donald Trump became president? asked Carly It looks like she has said Barry.  Now you see why I keep my political views to myself said Barry. Yes I do said Carly. I remember a while some fans mentioned that you were a Democrat because you sang Let Freedom Ring at Bill Clinton's first inaugural concert in 1993. I replied no Barry did not sing at Bill Clinton's first inaugural concert. That was Brian Murphy who asked Barry and Bruce if he could sing their song Let Freedom Ring. Both Barry and Bruce told Brian he could sing their song. Brian did that song on A Capitol Fourth July fourth two thousand and nine. Plus in London back in 1992. Barry sang Let Freedom Ring at Fiesta At Fords Theatre. Barry does not sing for political purposes. Barry wondered where Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party would take place. Carly told Barry she saw an article on Clive Davis and his Pre-Grammy party. She told Barry it would be at the Sheraton Times Square. In the article it mentioned that some past attendees would not be able to go. That's because the heads of Apple and Spotify were going. Marc said he had lunch with Brian and Gregory so both of them were going to Clive's Pre-Grammy party. Today was Barry's interview with Tanika Ray of Extra. Tomorrow Barry would be heading home. Then Sunday Barry and Carly were leaving New York City on Amtrak's The Lake Shore Limited. They were going to Chicago where they would catch Amtrak's Empire Builder. Barry and Carly were going to Portland Oregon to spend a week with Garry and Denise.

Hi Everyone it's me Barry here. It's 7am London time. While it's 2am eastern, 1am central, 12am mountain and 11pm pacific times back there in the states. If you didn't see the latest Review Journal Kat's Column here's the snip on me. Snip to "Barry Manilow is expected to finally be announced as the hotels resident Superstar attraction, performing three weekends a month through 2018." As all of you know "I HATE LAS VEGAS" period. I also do not like being called a superstar. Multi talented entertainer yes superstar no.I will formally announce my six year run at the Tropicana Casino Resort this Friday while I'm being interviewed by Extra host Tanika Ray on the Showroom stage. I will actually start my three months a year residency in February 2019. I'll be there during the months of February, June and October doing three weeks each month. Each  week will consist of four shows Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will be leaving London Tuesday afternoon. I've had a great time here in the UK. Last year Carly got me tickets to see one of my favorite duos Tears For Fears Roland Orzabal and Curtis Smith. Somehow the guys found out I was at the show and also that I'm a huge fan of theirs. So they invited me on stage to sing with them. I told the guys I had learned to play both Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Shout on the piano. That night I played piano and sang with Roland and Curtis on their song Shout. So for all four O2 shows I'm ding that song. Heads up everyone I'm going to be on Extra this Friday. Extra host Tanika Ray will be interviewing me from the Tropicana's Showroom stage.  I will be giving fans a sneak peek at my "Tropicana Presents Manilow's Paradise Café poster. However because you're fan club members you get an even earlier sneak peek. So above this message is my Manilow's Paradise Café poster. The poster will be made available  in November of this year along with some other Paradise Café gear. Because this years New Years Eve concert will take place in the Showroom at the Tropicana. I will be performing at the Showroom Thursday December 20th thru Sunday December 23rd. and Friday December 28th thru Monday December 31st. Tickets for those eight shows will go on sale next month Friday February 3rd. Vikki and I are working out the final details of the "It's Just Another New Years Eve" Party Weekend in Atlantic City at the Tropicana. Now would Brian Murphy do this sort of thing? I don't think so. Three months February, June and October. Three weeks each of those months with four nights Thursday thru Sunday. Ninety minute shows with encores. His fans are lucky they're getting one year 2018 so far. With three weekends  and three nights each of those weeks Thursday thru Saturday. Ninety minute shows with no encores at all. I've said this before I'm three years older than Brian he's 71 and I'm 74. He has his A-fib and bad hips. I don't have any health issues so far knock on wood.  It's time I go get some breakfast.  I'm thinking about having afternoon tea during this years It's Just Another New years Eve Party Weekend. Afternoon tea would happen on Sunday afternoon. Yes I will be coming to afternoon tea. For anyone who doesn't know afternoon tea consists of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, preserves, assorted sweets and assorted types of tea. We all went to afternoon tea on Sunday. Boy was that good. As all of you know tea with lemon and honey is good for your throat. There is actually a tea company here in the UK called Barry's Tea. Well now I really need to get going so I can eat breakfast.

How About That ?

It was Thursday morning when the phone rang. Carly went and picked up the phone. Hi sweetheart it's me said Barry. Hi Barry back said Carly. So what's news back home? asked Barry Well Suzanne made the latest edition of The National Enquirer said Carly. Oh did she did. Well what for this time ? he asked. Blood-cleansing therapy said Carly. Blood Cleansing Therapy what in he double hockey sticks is that? asked Barry. Blood cleansing therapy is where plasma is taken out of your body cleans and re-put back into your body. The Young Blood Institute is the group behind this. Suzanne will start a 50 year clinical trial of the therapy on Jan 23rd. There is a $145 plate event at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach Fla.in a bid for others to join her age-defying scheme. When the trial concludes on Jan 23, 2068 Suzanne will be 121. One of Suzanne's pals said "She's convinced that with this new blood therapy she can live past 125" said Carly. Suzanne is into all that pheromone stuff said Barry. She claims that pheromones do all sorts of good stuff for you. Better sex drive for men, s and ETC said Barry. Suzanne use to jump on me because I ate stuff like chips, cookies,  Kosher hot dogs,  ice cream and such. I also ate loads of fresh vegetables that I grew in my vegetable garden in Palm Springs. I also ate fruit too whole grains, lean meats and fish. The only thing I won't eat is olives of any kind said Barry.  I love Rachael Ray's philosophy which is "All things in moderation." So that's what I do eat everything except olives in moderation. Like last night Eric and went to a pub where we had fish and chips and pint of good ale. When we get to London me and Eric will meet up with the rest of our gang and go for high tea one afternoon. Before I went on this book signing tour I found the perfect empty store front for my  1943 British American Gastro Pub in London. I signed on the dotted line now the store front is mine to  renovate and turn to my gastro pub. The gastro pub will be in the
Clerkenwell neighborhood of London. It's near Bloomsburry, Barbican and Spitalfields. Well I will let you go said Barry "Love you the moon and back." Same here said Carly. Enjoy the rest of your time in the UK. Carly hung up with Barry. She then took Maggie, Max, Thunder and Tucker out to do their business. She brought them back in. Gave them fresh water, dog and puppy food. Carly then went to put on her winter boots, coat, hat and gloves. There was knock at the door Carly answered it. Hi said Abby. Are you ready to go she said yes said Carly as she grabbed her Ameribag handbag. Carly and Abby were going out to 1943 British American Gastro Pub and then to the movies. So what are we going to see asked Abby. I heard from my mom that my dad took her diner and movie last Friday night. Mom said he and dad saw The Greatest Showman  which is about P.T. Barnum. My mom's a super huge Hugh Jackman fan. Mom met Hugh Jackman and got his autograph. My dad was with her when that happed. So he took a picture of them together. Mom has both the photo of her and Hugh and his autograph framed together. Mom's seen everyone of Hugh Jackman's movies more than once. She ranks him right underneath her son-in-law Barry. Mom is also a huge fan of Barry's. She actually met him once before he and I met. Mom told Barry he was such a wonderful gentleman. As mom was leaving she mumbled "I should introduce you to my daughter." Did you say something said Barry? Mom said yes and repeated what she under her breath. Barry asked What is her name? Mom said it's Carly. Then Barry asked "Is she beautiful?" Mom took her wallet out of her handbag and she him a photo of me. Mom said that my youngest Carly and that her older sister Jillian. Just so you know Carly's not married said my mom. We had Barry's mom Edna who wanted to introduce me to her son. My mom Norah who wanted to introduce her daughter to Barry. Look what happened we met each other fell in love and got married said Carly.

Paradise Cafe II Tour Gear

Hi Everyone it's me Carly here again. Hot off the presses a first look at some of the Paradise Café II Tour gear Number one is the baseball cap in black with a grey and white logo. Number two is the two toned baseball cap. Bill and front is grey and back is black with a white and black tour logo. Future tour gear will be a tour jacket sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL. Tee shirts in black and grey with sizes S, M , L, XL, XXL and XXXL. tour patch, Scarf with tour logo all over it. Non wearing gear. Tote bag, Frisbee, pin, cell phone cover, coffee mug, stainless steel water bottle and a 60X70 throw blanket. All of those have the tour logo on them too. Even though Barry across the pond he took his HP OMEN X laptop with him. That's so he could do a little work while over there.  He never goes anywhere without his laptop computer. Yes Barry no longer uses any Apple products. That includes Mac desktop/laptop computers, iPod and iPhone. Barry's last iPhone blew up on him while he was out running this past summer. As or computers Barry has switched to the HP Omen X desktop and laptop. Cellphone is a Samsung Note Edge 8. So if you just have to be like Barry that's what he uses HP computer products and Samsung cell phones.  Barry is taking British rail to each of the book signing cities.  Barry looking into seeing if he can go across Canada on Via Rail in March of two thousand nineteen when he brings his Paradise Café II Tour to Canada.  If Barry can then he will go by train when he tours there in March two thousand nineteen. If not then he'll fly on his favorite air carrier Delta Airlines. I have four doggies looking at me.  I know they need to use the back yard. hen I talk to Barry on Thursday I'll tell you all send him your love.

Paradise Cafe II Tour kick off Tropacana Atlantic City

Hi Everyone,
It's me Carly. I have permission from Barry to give you some exiting news. Barry's playing Atlantic City for New Years Eve this year. In fact Thursday December twentieth is when Barry kicks off his Paradise Café II Tour. Barry will be at the Tropicana Casino Resort for two four day weekends. in December. That'sThursday December 20th to Sunday December 23rd and Friday December 28th to Monday December 31st. The BMIFC will be having their annual "It's Just Another New Years Eve Party Weekend." Thursday December 28th to Monday December 31st. Party weekenders will stay at the Tropicana during the party weekend. Barry will be in Atlantic City at the Tropicana full time starting February two thousand nineteen. He is doing three months a year at the Tropicana February, June and October. Each month he'll be doing two weekends with four nights each of those two weekends. Barry's contract goes from February two thousand nineteen to October two thousand twenty five. The whole Westgate residency is false information. Nobody is 100% sure but they're thinking Suzanne gave that bit of information to the LA Times, Chicago Sun Times and the New York Post. Along with the Robin Leach and John Katselomete's for their columns in the Las Vegas Review Journal. Yes Suzanne does want Barry to be in Las Vegas for a residency. As all of you fans know Barry HATES Las Vegas. Now on the other hand Barry loves Atlantic City. Barry will let everyone know when tickets go on sale for the shows in December of this year. He'll also let you know when you can sign up for the BMIFC "It's Just Another New Years Eve" Party Weekend. Right now he's across the pond doing a book signing and three Williamsburg Tour concerts at the O2. I just heard from David Taylor Barry's manager that has added a fourth concert at the O2. Concert number four will be Monday January twenty second. Tickets for that show are on sale now. Barry sends everyone not over in the UK his love and kisses.

Brian Murphy called Barry house to see if he was home. Instead Brian got Carl. He asked if Barry was there. Carly said sorry Brian Barry's across the pond. Saturday January 6th was an anti-bulling concert at the O2. Barry was on stage with Cyndi Lauper. Barry said they were going to sing Big Yellow Taxi one of the duets from Cyndi Lauper's Joni Mitchell album. Then at the end Barry, Cyndi and group of talented kids who have been bulled sang with them on One Voice. Today Barry is up in Edinburgh to start his book signing tour. Then he's on to Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham and London. After that Barry's doing his Williamsburg Tour for three nights at the O2. Friday January 19th, Saturday January 20th and Sunday 21st. Barry will be home at the end of the month. What's up? asked Carly. I called to let Barry know that in Monday January 8th Las Vegas Review Journal John
Katselometes column he talked about the Westgate's new billboard that has a video panel. Bottom of the paragraph on the Westgate it says  "And soon we expect Barry Manilow's image to be played across that video panel. Maybe even this week." I wonder who gave them that information? said Brian. Just to let you know Gregory called Marc and told him that he emailed him and David Taylor the Las Vegas Review Journal piece that was in their online paper on Monday. Gregory said he got lucky when he called Marc because David was also there at the time. Marc put Gregory on speaker phone so all three of them could talk to each other. Gregory said during their conversation that David thought Suzanne gave John Katselometes the information on Barry and the Westgate. David told both Gregory and Marc that Suzanne wants Barry to do a Las Vegas residency. So that's why Abby said that fans all over the internet were very exited. Abby also mentioned that over on Shirley Vance's Facebook page for Barry. That fans who liked her Facebook group for Barry were very exited that Barry was going to do a residency at the Westgate Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Yes Barry is doing a residency but not in Las Vegas. He is doing a residency at The Tropicana Casino Resort in Atlantic City. Three months February, June and October for the next six years two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty-four.  One of the fans who liked Shirley's Facebook page said she hoped his image would be played across that video panel by the end of this week said Carly. I did hear from Barry's manager David Taylor on Sunday. Last week he was in Atlantic City and he stayed at the Tropicana Casino Resort.  David said that the center cylinder had Barry's image on it. Then on the rectangular panels on either said it said "Coming in February, June and October Barry Manilow. Tickets on sale now." The speakers that are on the outside were blaring Barry singing Copacabana. David told me he use his video camera to tape that so Barry could see it when he gets home said Carly. Eric Barry's PA is over in the UK with Barry and company. Then next week David is headed to Philadelphia and then to San Antonio for some last minute stuff dealing with The Mayflower's two regional runs this year. Next month Barry will be at the Tropicana Thursday February first through Sunday February fourth and Thursday February eighth thru Sunday February eleventh. I'm going down opening weekend Thursday February first thru Sunday February fourth with my Barry Buddies Abby, Rita and Zoey. On  Thursday November fifteenth Barry's album 2:00AM Paradise Café II is being released. Barry does a CD debut at the Rose Theatre at Lincoln Center that evening. Barry kicks his Paradise Café II Tour in Atlantic City at the Tropicana. Thursday December twentieth to Sunday December twenty third and Friday December twenty eighth to Monday December thirty first. The two weeks at Radio City Music Hall Sunday December twenty third two thousand eighteen to Saturday January fifth, two thousand nineteen was a no go. Instead Barry's doing New Years Eve down in Atlantic City at the Tropicana. Just then Carly got another call. She told Brian she'd call him back later. Carly said hello to the person on the other end of the line. Hi Carly it's Abby. What's up Abby? asked Carly. Well the LA Times, Chicago Sun Times and the New York Post all have articles mentioning Barry signing with the Westgate Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The LA Times said Barry Manilow starts his residency Thursday March 19th thru Sunday March 23rd and Thursday March 27th thru Sunday March 30th. They said Barry would be doing two weekends Thursday thru Sunday a month for the rest of this year.  According to Robin Leach and John Katselometes  from the Las Vegas Review Journal. Supposedly Barry signed a six year deal with the Westgate. I know that Barry signed with the Tropicana Casino Resort in Atlantic City for six years. Since you, me, Rita and Zoey are going open weekend next month said Abby. David Taylor Barry's manager seems to think that Suzanne is the one who's putting out this information said Carly. He told me he did a conference call with Garry, Marc and Barry yesterday. David said he was going to have the LA Times, Chicago Sun Times and New York Post print retractions in their papers. He is also  going to get Robin and John to print a
retraction in the columns they write for the Las Vegas Review Journal. Barry, Adrienne, Enoch, Jack, Marty and Bruce's new musical The Mayflower dose two regional runs this year. Carly said goodbye to Abby so she could take the dogs out and then feed them dinner.

Zoey Zucker asks Barry How many dogs do you have? What kinds of breeds are they? Thanks.
Barry Well Zoey We have four dogs Yellow Labrador Retriever female named Maggie age 6 years, Black Labrador Retriever male named Max age 4 years, Cream Labrador Retriever male named Thunder age 1 year and White Bull Terrier  male named Tucker age 7 months. Tucker loves to curl up on my oversized chair in my at home studio. I discovered my music puts Tucker to sleep. Starting this December when I go on my Paradise Café II Tour I'll be bringing Tucker along for the ride. Thanks for your question.

Carol Brown asks Barry do you have any hidden talents?
Barry Carol Yes I have some hidden talents. Music wise I can play an acoustic guitar and the conga drums. Food wise I have a Bachelor's Degree In Culinary Arts from the Culinary  Institute Of America in Hyde Park New York. I'm also a restaurateur. I opened up last October 1943 British American Gastro Pub in Williamsburg. In May of this year I'm opening up a second 1943 British American Gastro Pub in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan. While I'm in London right now I'll be scouting a location for another 1943 British American Gastro Pub to open in London. After it opens I'll have a BMIFC UK night for UK fans only. Of course I'll be there. Other cities on my list of cities for my gastro pub are UK Edinburgh, Canada Montreal, United States Boston MA, Baltimore MD, Chicago Ill, Denver Co, San Antonio TX, Phoenix AZ, Portland OR, Seattle WA, New Zealand Auckland and Australia Melbourne.

Hannah Roberts asks Barry What are some your favorite cities?
Barry My favorite cities are London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Montreal, Boston, Baltimore, New York City, Chicago, Denver, San Antonio, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, Melbourne and Brisbane.  Even though you didn't ask my favorite countries are Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Quebec provenance, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Michigan, Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington New Zealand and Australia. Brian Murphy is the one who likes Paris France I never did like it there. If I lived somewhere else other than the United States. I'd live in Amsterdam Netherlands, Venice or Naples Italy.

Other stuff.  Saturday nights Anti-bulling concert turned out great. Cyndi and decided to sing something upbeat. So we did Big Yellow Taxi one of our duets from her Joni Mitchell album. Cyndi sang Joni's song Chelsea Morning. Then at the end Cyndi and I sang One Voice with a chorus made up of talented kids who have been bullied. Tomorrow I take the train to Edinburgh Scotland first stop  on my book signing tour. Yes everyone Barry loves to take the train. By the way the audio guys will be at the three O2 concerts taping them for a three disc live album due out Tuesday June 19th. See you Scottish fans on Monday January 8th for my book signing.

The Snow Storm of 2018 and ETC.

Thank goodness Barry left on Tuesday for London England. At least he missed the major snow storm that New York City was getting. Barry favorite airline was Delta. Wherever Barry and his crew went they flew Delta. Suzie was the one from the beginning who said that Barry always flew The Friendly Skies of United Airlines.".  Barry called Carly to let her know he made it safe and sound to London. Thank God you left on Tuesday said Carly the east coast that includes New York City got a major snow storm The weather guys were calling this a Bomb Cyclone. Carly then mentioned that flights were being canceled at the three major New York City area airports. Newark's Liberty International, LaGuardia and JFK International. Barry then asked how the dogs were doing. Carly told him they were fine. I had to make sure that Tucker wore a doggie sweater mainly because he's all white and would be hard to see in the snow. I will say that Tucker sure does miss you Barry. When I got home from work on Wednesday I called for dogs. They all came but Tucker. So I went looking for him. I found him in your studio curled up on your over sized chair sleeping. I know before you left you said he liked being up there with you. Rita mentioned that Suzie was telling everyone that you were not happy with the current president since your a democrat. Suzie doesn't know who I voted for in two thousand sixteen. Nor does she know which political party I belong to the democrat or republican. My politics stays out of my professional life. Yes I hear Barbra Streisand and Bette use their Twitter accounts to Tweet their displeasure for President Trump. He won far and square so get over it ladies said Barry. All of my celebrity friends keep their politics off Twitter. They use their Twitter accounts to keep their fans up to date on their careers. That's what I do with my Twitter account. I do know that Suzie is a democrat so is her hubby Alan said Barry. Brian and Gregory are also democrats. He    told me he was invited to Mrs. Clinton's west coast fundraiser in  two thousand sixteen.  Brian said that Mrs. Clinton's best friend Barbra Streisand was the  entertainer for that fundraiser. He also said they were at Suzie and Alan's table that night. He then said I wouldn't have liked the fundraiser. Since Barbra Streisand took Stephen Sondheim's song send In The Clowns from A Little Night Music and changed the lyrics to bad mouth candidate Trump. Brian was correct about that said Barry. I ran into your friends Rita and her sister Zoey. Their here for the benefit, my London book signing and the three O2 concerts said Barry. They loved me since I treated them to traditional fish and chips for lunch on Saturday. By the way Suzie's auctioning her Palm Springs house said Carly.  To quote Country Living "In the past the property situated in the desert mountains has been listed for $12.9 million to $35 million. It's located in the Mesa neighborhood of Palm Springs. I did a map search to see how far away her house at 252 Ridge Road was from your former house. Oh and the we could see each other from our homes was totally false. I wasn't crazy about her French provincial interior style. She actually hated the Mediterranean exterior of my house. She didn't like the interior style either which was rustic. Contrary to what others have said about me. I liked color not black, red, brass and glass. That was Brian Murphy who liked black, red, white, silver and glass. My color scheme was assorted shades of blues, browns, greens with a touches of yellow and peach. Since Brian bought my house in the Mesa the interior style has gone contemporary. I went from a sprawling Mediterranean styed house to a five story brick town house.  Garden floor family room, kitchen 2. half bath Carly's computer room , parlor floor coat closet, half bath galley main kitchen, dinging, living, second master floor, third guest bedrooms, bath, laundry room forth floor my at home recording studio, office, half bath and kitchenette. The thing is I have more space in my recording/office rooms at this house than I did at my Palm Springs house.
