Facebook Post Saturday May 27th.

Hi Everyone it's me Barry,
Yesterday I got a hair cut. Now please don't freak out people. I got myself a trim to get rid of the split ends. Then I also had part of my sideburns removed. They were getting a little too long.  Can you believe it's only five more days till the Xfinity Center concert in Mansfield MA. Me and the gang are leaving New York on Amtrak for Boston on Tuesday. We're leaving on Amtrak's Northeast Regional #172. It comes into Penn Central at 10:44AM from Washington DC. The train will leave New York at 11:00AM. We'll get into Boston's South Station at 3:15PM. My manager David Taylor rented us two large vans to take us to our hotel. Also out to the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Friday. Now on
Wednesday May 31st. I'm on WBMX-FM 104.1 Karson and Kennedy morning show.  By the way ladies I have a hip new opening show outfit.  Black Harley Davidson motorcycle boots. Wrangler cowboy boot cut black jeans. Nineteen sixties inspired six button shirt in both black and white. Black leather jacket. On the back  of the jacket is the Brooklyn skyline and the phrase "Brooklyn's In The House." Now the Harley Davidson boots and the Wrangler cowboy boot jeans I'm wearing for the  entire concert. The second half is the high collar white shirts with the tie ban and vests I wore during the Hits Tour. The cowboy boots I wore between 1992 and 1996 are pretty worn down on the soles and heels. I have the same group of people backing me up on this tour. Minus Shelly Greco who is six months pregnant with twin boys. Shelly is fine and sends all you fans her love. Now I'll still have Andrew Greco my video guy with me until the beginning of August. That's when he'll go home to get ready for the twins. So we'll have Russ McKinnon drums, David Rosenblatt percussions/vocals, Mark Levine bass/vocals, Mike Lent guitar/vocals, Ron Pedkey keyboards, Steve Kelly trombone, Jerome Smith trumpet and Joey Melotti musical director, keyboards, piano and vocals. Backup singers Debra Byrd, Kion Harris, Billy Kidd keyboard and Dana Robbins saxophone.  By the way I'm almost done with my on the road coffee table book. I want to put in some photos from my Williamsburg Tour in the book. So once the tour is over and I decided which photos I want to put in the coffee table book . It will go to McGraw Hill for printing. I hope to have the book out before Christmas. That's so you can give the book to friends or to yourself for Christmas. Don't forget the BMIFC Denver Convention in July. Then there's surprise everyone a BMIFC New Years Convention in Montreal Canada. Now I haven't forgotten about you Aussie and New Zealand fans. Me and the gang are headed down under at the end of May 2018. That's so you Australian and New Zealand fans can see my Williamsburg Tour We start the tour in Perth June 6th, Darwin June 7th, Brisbane June 10th, Sydney June 12th, Melbourne June `16th and 17th, Adelaide June 20th, Christ Church June 23rd, Wellington June 25th and Auckland June 28th. The BMIFC Australian Convention takes place in Melbourne  Wednesday June 13th thru Sunday June 17th. All fans attending the convention will get tickets to the Melbourne concerts on Saturday June 16th and Sunday June 17th.
See you somewhere down the road everyone.

Oh No!!!

Carly found out from her friend Janice that Brian Murphy had strained his vocal cords. So he had to reschedule his LA and Chicago concerts. Of course Brian's fans would be very upset. Carly had told Barry about that. Then  Rita called and told her that Brian also had a case of viral pneumonia on top of the strained vocal cords. So now he had to reschedule New York and Mashantucket as well. He had to also reschedule The Tonight Show for the second time. Barry on the other hand was taking it easy since he was going on tour at the beginning of June. Barry's tour started up in Boston MA at the Xfinity Center. The tour ended at the end of August. The tour would end in Vaughan Ontario Canada at Kingswood Music hall. Barry was playing the outdoor Amphitheater's or sheds as Barry liked to call them. He was doing four nights at Red Rocks Amphitheater July 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. During that time starting Wednesday July 5rh thru Sunday July 9th the BMIFC was having their convention in Denver Colorado. After the summer Amphitheater tour Barry was off until Saturday December 30th and Sunday December 31st when Barry was playing Centre Bell arena for New Years Eve. In fact Barry had suggested the BMIFC have their first ever convention during New Years. So that would be Thursday December 28th thru Sunday December 31st in Montreal Canada. Barry went to the mailbox and got the mail. He went downstairs with Carly's mail. He handed her the mail. Carly went through her mail. I got what I was waiting on she said. What's that said Barry. The Amtrak tickets I ordered. The usual foursome me, Rita, Zoey and Abigail decided to get tickets to your Friday June 8th concert in Baltimore MD at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I made the suggestion that we make
a weekend out of it in Baltimore. So that's exactly what us girls are going to do. We're leaving New York's Penn Central on Amtrak #185 at 8:10AM Friday morning. We'll get into Baltimore's Penn Station at 10:45AM. We're staying until Sunday afternoon at the Hyatt Regency Place Inner Harbor   Hotel. Then we'll leave Baltimore Penn Station on Amtrak #132 at 4:08PM. We'll get back to New York Penn Central at 7:30PM. Since I run my own veterinary hospital I can take off whenever I want. June 10th and 11th is not my weekend to be on call. So I'm taking Friday off. I asked the next door neighbors Kevin and Sandy if they'd watch the dogs while I was gone. They said yes they'd do that. Once you and the girls get to Baltimore head over to the Hyatt unpack and then come down to the lobby. Eric Schaefer will be waiting for you ladies. Since your coming to the Baltimore show I've decided to invite your ladies to watch the sound check. On the way to the venue Eric will stop at KFC so you ladies can pickup one of their five dollar meal deals for lunch. Now dinner is being catered by a local Italian restaurant said Barry.  I went through Booking.com to get our hotel. High floor with two queen beds for $159 a night. We are staying two nights that's $318 for both nights. So each of us is paying $79.90. Then I called Wit & Wisdom restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore. I asked if I needed to make reservations for Sunday brunch. So that is where I'm taking you, Abigail. Rita and Zoey for brunch. Your birthday is on Saturday June 17th you will be on the road traveling to Tampa for Sundays concert at the Mid Florida Credit Union Tampa FL.  Since I won't be celebrating your birthday with you this year I though I'd take you out a little early for your birthday said Carly. Barry left Carly's computer room to take the dogs outside before making lunch. While Barry was outside Carly called their favorite pizza place for a large veggie pizza. Barry came inside and asked Carly what do you want for lunch. Carly said I called our favorite pizza place and ordered a large veggie pizza to be delivered. They're running a special right now one large pizza however you like it for $15 and you get a 2 liter Coke product free. So I got a 2 liter Diet Coke said Carly. Pizza sounds yummy to me said Barry.  Tomorrow night is the Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Garden said Barry. I made reservations at Guy's American Kitchen & Bar 220 W.44th St. I'm hungry for a real good hamburger said Barry. The restaurant is owned by Guy Fieri. He's the host of Food Network's Diners, Drive-In's and Dives and Guy's Grocery Games. Sounds fine to me said Carly. Some of my friends are mad at me because they wanted me to go with them to Brian Murphy's Nassau Coliseum concert tonight. I told them I was going with you to the Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Garden. You're leaving on Tuesday to go up to Boston. Since your tour starts on Friday at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield MA. I won't see you until June 7th when your back home to play Nikon Jones Beach. Then I'll see you again when me and the girls go to your Merriweather Post Pavilion concert on June 9th. After that I won't see you until the BMIFC's Denver Convention in July. Besides I'm not a big fan of Brian Murphy like Eileen, Janice and Kathy are. The pizza and Diet Coke came. so Barry and Carly ate some of the pizza. The rest went into the fridge. Carly went back downstairs to email her friends Abigail, Rita and Zoey to let them know about taking Barry out to brunch to celebrate his birthday early. She heard from Zoey that Brian Murphy had asked his fans about doing a few more cities this summer. I thought he had decided to do just the shows he already announced. LA, Chicago, Durant, New York and Mashantucket. Wasn't he through with touring thought Carly. She got up and went up to Barry home office/studio. I emailed the girls to tell them about taking you out for an early birthday brunch. After I emailed Zoey she messaged me privately on Facebook to tell me about Brian Murphy's latest post. He posted on his Facebook page asking his fans where they would like to see him perform later this summer. He mentioned Atlanta, Tampa and Washington DC . Zoey said fans started mentioning Philadelphia, Baltimore, Buffalo, Northern New England and the cities that he mentioned. I thought he wanted to give up being on the road so much said Carly. I thought so too said Barry. Why would you go on tour when you only give your fans a ninety minute show with the same bunch of hits plus a few new songs. If Dave Koz is not busy Brian might ask Dave Koz to open for him. Dave asked me one time if I wanted him to open for me. I told Dave no I don't need an opening act. I still do a two hour concert with the twenty intermission in between each hour. I also said to Dave I'm not dealing with arthritis, hip problems or any other health issues. Now I don't have  atrial fibrillation or hip problems like Brian Murphy has. I just had my yearly physical and Dr. Jackson said I was in perfectly good health. He asked me how I stay in such great shape. I told him I run six  miles every other day. Then on the days I don't run I bicycle ride. That's during the spring, summer and autumn. In the winter I go down to the local health club. Where I use their indoor running track and their stationary bicycles. I also do a lot of walking.  I'll even walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to get to Manhattan said Barry. Then I watch what I eat. That is what I told Dr. Jackson yesterday when I saw him said Barry.  Barry and Carly had a great time at the Billy Joel concert. They went early so they could grab dinner before the concert. Barry chose Guy's American Kitchen & Bar owned by Guy Fieri. The next day Carly heard from Zoey that Brian Murphy was adding Thursday September 14th at Nassau Coliseum to his list of show dates. Zoey also heard from Eileen about last nights Brian Murphy show at Nassau. Eileen raved about Brian's show and the set list. When Zoey told Carly the list she said it was the same old same old. Nothing but the hits with a few new song from the new album. Zoey said her sister Rita got roped into going to the show with Eileen, Janice and Kathy. That was how Zoey got the set list. Then today Brian Murphy got to ring the closing bell on Wall Street. Barry had done both rung the opening bell and rung the closing bell. Carly told Zoey all about the Billy Joel concert she and Barry went to last night. Barry leaves for Boston on Tuesday by Amtrak said Carly. The band, backup singers and Joey his musical director were all going by Amtrak too. Barry was doing a few radio interviews before Friday.

Now Really People

Now really people thought Barry. Here we go again with the plastic surgery stuff. Now I went twice to see a plastic surgeon. I had some benign melanoma (skin cancer) removed both times. Other than that I've never had any other plastic surgery work done on me. Now Brian Murphy has had a lot of work done on his face. That's why I don't lay out to get a sun tan any more. If I do go out I wear a baseball cap and sun glasses. Barry got lucky when he was out in LA at the beginning of the week. He didn't run into Suzie, Alan or Scott. Maybe they didn't hear that Barry was getting the BMI Icon Award. Barry did run into Enoch and Marty and had lunch with them on Tuesday. They went to a new restaurant called El Tacorea. It was a restaurant that had a taco bar. Barry said too bad we don't have a restaurant like this in New York. He told both Enoch and Marty about getting food poisoning while in San Francisco. I got it as well as Adrienne and Garry. I'll be back out here at the end of July for three nights at the Hollywood Bowl. I start my Williamsburg Tour up in Boston at the Xfinity Center in June. I end my Williamsburg Tour up in Vaughan Ontario Canada at Kingswood Music Hall at the end of August. I added three extra cities Albuquerque, St. Louis and Vaughan Ontario and six extra shows to my summer sheds tour.  Enoch and Marty had gotten tickets to see Brian Murphy at The Forum. Carly's friends Janice, Kathy and Eileen have tickets to see Brian at Nassau Coliseum and Foxwood Casino. They begged Carly to go. However Carly's not a huge Brian Murphy fan like they are said Barry. Brian Murphy is playing Nassau Coliseum on Thursday May 25th. That's the night Carly and I are going to Madison Square Garden to see Billy Joel. We have front row seats and we're over by the piano side. Now of course Janice, Kathy ad Eileen aren't too happy that Carly's not going with them.  Carly has tickets to my Jones Beach show. She's going with her BFF's Rita, Zoey and Abigail. She's also doing the BMIFC'S Denver convention and all four Red Rocks Amphitheatre concerts. Her roommates for the Denver convention are Rita, Zoey and Abigail. Janice, Kathy and Eileen decided not to go to the BMIFC Denver convention. Then Carly's signed up for the BMIFC'S New Years convention. in Montreal Her roommates are Rita, Zoey and Abigail once again. Carly just can not figure  Janice, Kathy and Eileen out. They're crazy about Brian Murphy and he's decided to semi retire. No more touring. just a few shows here and there. Most likely when he's got a new album to promote. It will be the same five cities every time he promotes a new album. LA, Chicago, New York and Mashantucket here in the US. London and Manchester over in the UK. The thing is these US cities are expensive. Brian was always on tour. Every time some fans complained about not see him in a while he went out on the road to make them happy. So no wonder he's worn out and tired of the hotel scene. On the other hand I'm not tired of touring or doing the hotel scene. In fact I added a surprise arena tour at the end of last year to promote Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) I changed my Canadian tour from March to January 22nd thru February 8th. Now I'm off until June 2nd when I go on the road for my Williamsburg Tour out door Amphitheatre's all across
the US and Vaughan Ontario Canada. After that I'm off until I do my New Years concerts up in Montreal. I'm playing Centre Bell Saturday December 30th and Sunday December 31st for my New Years Eve concerts. Fact is I'm older than Brian by three years. I was born in 1943 so I'll be 74 next month and he was born in 1946 so he'll be 71 in July. Barry was back from his trip to LA. Carly told him she had turned on Access Hollywood to see if they said anything about the BMI Awards. No they did not say anything. However they did show the press conference that Brian Murphy held to announce he was going back to Las Vegas to headline at the Westgate Hotel and Casino. Brian had performed there when it was the LV Hilton between 2005 and 2009. That's one place I will never play is Las Vegas said Barry. If I was offered headlining gig at one of the Atlantic City hotels I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

Facebook Post May 9th

Hi Gang
It's me Barry with some more exciting news. I've added three more cities and six more shows to my
Williamsburg Tour. 1.Albuquerque New Mexico Isleta Amphitheatre Friday August 18th. St. Louis Missouri Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre Tuesday August 22nd. Vaughan Ontario Kingswood Music Hall Friday August 25th, Saturday August 26th, Sunday August 27th and Monday August 28th. BMIFC tickets for these six shows go on sale Friday May 13th at 10AM eastern time. The reason I'm doing four nights at Kingswood is so that more Canadian fans can come to theses shows. We had a blast on Tuesday April 25th at the Barclay Center. There is a song on the album called The Girl From The Bronx. After I sang the song I invited the girl  from the Bronx who inspired that song my wife Carly. Carly was born and raised in the Bronx. She's another true New Yorker. Other than the eight years she spent in college. Four years at Duke University and four years at North Carolina State University. Carly's lived in the Bronx her entire life. After she married me in July 2015 she moved to the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn where I now live. Yes I know some of you fans wish I still lived in Palm Springs California. Palm Springs go way too celebrity for me. Plus I was dealing with this gay guy Scott Nevins. Scott's problem is he's got the hot's for me and I'm not gay. I'm not interested in having a relationship with Scott Nevins period. After I moved back here to Brooklyn New York I realized all the things I've been missing. The seasons as they change. The leaves when they turn color in autumn. The snow that falls in winder. Taking the subway train into Manhattan. Going into Manhattan to see Broadway theatre. Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Blue Note. Classical concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House. Picnics in Central Park.  The great neighborhoods all over the five boroughs of New York City. Coney Island and Nathan's kosher hot dogs. I am glad I moved back east. I'm in the middle of working on four commercial jingles for
New York City. Remember the I Love New York commercial jingles? There was one with the cast of the musical  A Chorus Line  Well Bruce Sussman and I are bring them back. We're creating three I love New York commercial jingles. One that talks about everything we love about New York City. Another brings together the casts of my musicals that are still on Broadway. Copacabana, Harmony, 15 Minutes and Here At The Mayflower. Then the third is me on stage at  Radio City Music Hall with my band and backup singers. We're doing a bit of New York City Rhythm. Then we go into the I love New York song. These three commercials should start airing this summer. There are all these other commercials for other states and cities. There's the guy who does the commercials for different parts of Michigan. The lake Erie love commercial jingle. That's the lake Erie area of Pennsylvania. The Ohio commercial. The Ocean City Maryland commercial. The Myrtle Beach commercial jingle.  Also the California commercials. I decided New York City needed some commercials to get people interested in coming to the big apple for their vacation. There's a lot to see and do here in New York City. Then if these three do well we'll do some for the rest of New York state. Thank you for all the great things you've said about my album Williamsburg. Also I see you like my new suggestion box section of my Facebook page. No suggestion is too ridiculous. Except maybe for me posing nude. Sorry to the fan who asked for that but that's a big NO! I've got to go and get ready for tonight's BMI Awards.

Interesting To Say The Least.

Carly was talking on the phone to her friend Rita. Barry is still confused about his last name. He went somewhere else online and found two other names Manilows and Manilowich. The ich makes the name sound Polish and Barry's family was not from Poland. He finally talked to a genealogist who specializes in genealogy. She thought Barry last name of Manilow was strange She didn't think it was a Jewish name. Barry showed her on his iPad the Surname Database where he found out that his last
name was English. Which the genealogist said looked to be right. She told him that most likely his last name got changed when his relatives came over from Europe. So would that have meant that  my grandfather's dad changed his last name once he got here asked Barry Most likely the did said the genealogist. His  great grandfather Louis Manilow and his wife Anna came over to the US with their kids. One of those kids was Joseph Manilow his grandfather. Barry told her he heard they were from somewhere in the western part of Russia.  He also told her his great grandparents Louis and Anna, grandparents Joseph and Esther, his aunt Rose and his mom Edna were all deceased. The only family still living was his aunt Rose's two kids cousin's Dennis and Olivia of course they really didn't know any more than he did. I think if Barry knew his great grandfather Louis had changed his last name once he got here. Barry would changed it back to his great grandfather's original last name. I'm kind of guessing that Barry is uncomfortable with his last name. His first name is actually Barack which is Hebrew and means lighting. His middle name is Alon which is Hebrew and means tree or oak tree. However Manilow according to Surname Database said his last name was English. On the site it mentioned the name Mann leof from pre 7th century. Leof meaning dear and mann meaning friend.  So how was your San Francisco vacation asked Rita? Lousy said Carly. Our first full day there we went out to dinner with Garry, Denise, Adrienne and Neil. Garry took us to a Chinese place in China Town. Garry, Barry and Adrienne all had the same thing. Early the next morning I woke up no Barry in bed. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. There he was on his knees kissing the toilet. I knew he wasn't feeling good. I said to him I think we better cut our vacation short. It would no fun to go sightseeing with you stuck here sick. Plus I'm sure you'd feel much better resting in your own bed.  I called Delta and got a flight for early that afternoon. Amtrak just loves Barry so he would be able to get a refund on our tickets. We got dressed packed our bags went downstairs and checked out The clerk asked if everything was ok. I told him Barry wasn't feeling good so we were cutting our trip short. Once we got to the airport I called Garry to tell him we were going home early and why. Denise answered the phone so I told her what was going on. She then told me Garry was sick. I said to you think they got food poisoning? Denise said I'm sure they did. She had already called the board of health and told them about her husband. They told her that restaurant should have been closed two months ago. The board of health told Denise they sent one of their inspectors to checkout the place two months ago. She found out the restaurant paid the inspector off so they could stay in business. Lucky Barry got better so he didn't have to cancel the Barclay Center concert and the album signing. Barry did feel bad about our vacation being cut short. I told him we can do something after his summer sheds tour. Barry also said no more to going to San Francisco. Once we got home David called to tell us Suzie was flapping her yap again.  Is that why you got asked up on stage after Barry sang The Girl From The Bronx? asked Rita. Yes said Carly I think he wanted to introduce everyone to the girl from the Bronx. Now what this about McCallum Theatre concert said Rita. McCallum Theatre concerts said Carly. Yes said Rita someone in the Mani-Fanilow group just posted that Barry was going to do five concerts at the McCallum Theatre at the beginning of December.  Barry's doing his summer Williamsburg Tour across the US. It's all the outdoor sheds Jones Beach, Jiffy Lube Live, Red Rocks, Hollywood Bowl and ETC. He's finished with that tour at the beginning of August. Then he's off until December 30th when he does his New Years Eve shows in Montreal Canada. Barry's
playing at the Centre Bell. That's Saturday December 30th and Sunday December 31st. So I don't know where that group got their information from said Carly. Just then Barry walked in. Carly told him about the five concerts at the McCallum Theater that some Facebook group said he was going to do in early December. I'm not doing any concerts at the McCallum Theatre said Barry. Maybe that's Brian Murphy who's doing the five shows there. Boy  am I glad I moved back to New York  City said Barry. Palm Springs got to be too celebrity for me. New York is full of celebrities but their not out there like they are in LA and Palm Springs.  I have that BMI award I'm getting on May 8th. So I'm
leaving on Monday for LA. I should be back some time on Wednesday. I'm talking my PA Eric Schaefer with me said Barry. I just hope I don't run into certain people. You mean like Suzie said Carly. Yes Suzie, her hubby Alan and Scott Nevins.  I'm not happy about her staying untrue stuff about me. Nor do I like Scott Nevins hanging all over me. I'm not interested in having any sort of relationship with him what so ever. Besides I'm a happily married man. So why would I want a relationship with a gay man when I'm straight. Yes I know certain people still think I'm gay but I'm not. what do you say we go out for dinner tonight said Barry. Sounds fine to me said Carly. I called Bruce and asked him if he and Rob wanted to go out with us for dinner. Bruce said sure he and Rob would love to go out with us for dinner. I suggested Italian for dinner. I made reservations at Felidia which is an Italian restaurant at 243 E. 58th St. I'm hungry for manicotti said Barry. Carly shut off her computer. She went upstairs to the bedroom to change clothes. Carly put on a coral dress with some black heals. Barry changed into charcoal grey pants, white shirt,  grey tie, charcoal grey jacket and black loafers. We'll be meeting Bruce and Rob in front of Felidia's said Barry. Once ready Barry and Carly walked to the High Street stop . They got on the correct subway train into Manhattan..  The train stopped at the correct stop and Barry and Carly got off. They didn't have that far to walk to Felidia's. When they got there they saw both Bruce and Rob. Barry mentioned to Bruce about going out to LA for the BMI award. I just hope I don't run into Suzie, Alan and Scott said Barry. Rob said Scott Nevins. Yes Scott Nevins said Barry. He tried to wreck your wedding said Bruce. Yes he did. It's sort of creepy having a gay guy who got the hot's for me said Barry. Then there's Suzie who's all for Scott and me making a love connection. I don't think she likes the fact that I'm a happily married man. Especially since I'm married to a woman which makes no sense since according to her and Scott I'm gay. Both of them still think I'm gay. That's Brian Murphy who's gay. Brian's been married to his partner Gregory Knoffler for three years. Everyone in LA and Palm Springs knew that Brian Murphy was gay. I've known since 1972 that Brian was gay said Barry. There was just something about him that was different. He dressed like Liberace and pranced on stage like Freddie Mercury said Carly. I went once to Madison Square Gardens with Janice, Kathy, Eileen, Rita and Zoey to a Brian Murphy concert.  The next day I met up with Rita and Zoey. Both of them said they weren't too crazy about Brian Murphy. Janice, Kathy and Eileen were hoping that me, Rita and Zoey were going to Brian Murphy's Nassau Coliseum concert on Tuesday April 25th.  I told them we had tickets to see Barry Manilow at the Barclay Center on that night. Me Rita and Zoey had front row left of center seats. I found out from Janice that she, Kathy and Eileen were in the third row from the stage for Brian's concert. The thing is Barry gave us his usual two hour show with twenty minute intermission. While Brian Murphy gave his fans a ninety minute show. His usual opening act Dave Koz is on one of his jazz cruises. So Brian had Michael Lington another saxophone player open for him. The thing is Barry's 73 and Brian's three years younger at age 70. Some people wonder why Barry doesn't have an opening act. Or why he doesn't tour with some other artist or group. Barry felt that cheats the fans when you have another very successful artist or group touring with you. Beside as he says "My fans come to see me and not some other artist or group besides me." So we got our usual two hours with twenty minute intermission.  After the show ended Barry went back stage. Then the fans did what they usually do. Which is stomping on the floor and yelling we want Barry. Barry came back out and said "Isn't it time to go home?" The fans yelled NO! You want more said Barry yes they said. So Barry ended up giving us thirty minutes more. He said it's a school night and he wanted the moms to get home. Brian quit doing encores in the early 90's said Barry. He also quit doing two hour concerts around that same time too.

Williamsburg

Barry got dressed in a pair of navy slacks, white shirt, navy blazer, navy socks and black shoes. He had already gone for his morning run, taken the dogs out and ate breakfast. Now he was headed to the Clark St. subway stop. Once he got there he waited for the correct train to take him into Manhattan. He was going in early so he could go over to Stiletto Entertainments new Manhattan offices. Barry was going to have lunch with Marc Hulett head of the NYC Stiletto offices, David Taylor his  new
manager and Eric Schaefer his new personal assistant. Prior to David Marc was his manager 2003 to 2016. The before Marc it was Garry 1979 to 2003. Miles was his first manager 1974 to 1979. After lunch Barry was headed to the Union Square Barnes and Noble for the album signing at 1PM. Barry had done a last minute change to the album. One night before Christmas Barry woke up in the middle of the night. He went up to the top floor to his at home studio where he laid down a track he was calling Williamsburg. This song was all about the neighborhood in Brooklyn where he grew up. The school  play yard where he and his friends hung out after school. The candy store where they bought twenty five cents worth of penny candy. Soda shop where he took Susan for an ice cream float with two straws. The local movie theatre where they sat in the back for a little necking during the movie. All the other things he did as a kid when he lived  in Williamsburg. After he sang the song into the  recording device he turned out the light. He went back downstairs to the bedroom to sleep some more. Barry decided to leave New York State Of Mind by Billy Joel off the album. He also changed the title to Williamsburg from New York State Of Mind. He used a drawing of the Brooklyn Bridge as the front cover backdrop. He then got photos of his high school Eastern District, his graduation photo and current photo of himself. He went online to a photo changing website where he gave all three photos picture frames. He used graffiti font for the title of the album and his name. The cover was white photo with the three framed photos on top. The back was white with black lettering. A sticker dealing with New York related stuff was on the upper back right corner. The new Concord Records logo. The FBI warning label. Plus the bar code for the scanner. Barry produced and arranged the album Eddie Arkin co-produced the album with Barry. David Taylor his new manager was executive producer of the album. Jay Benson  was the guy behind the mixing board. When it was all said and done Barry's new album contained twelve original material songs total. Barry had just seen
photos of Brian Murphy who was across the pond promoting his latest album My Dream Jazz Duets. The album was Brian singing with well known jazz artists who were no longer living. Barry felt it was a little too creepy singing with dead recording artists. What did you expect when you were on a label run by Clive Davis nothing but covers. Brian had gone to RCA after Arista folded up. Brian had asked Barry to come to RCA. Barry told Brian no he liked being on Concord Records. On Tuesday April 25th Barry did one night only at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn. The show ended up like last years New Years Eve concert at Madison Square Garden. It started out with two full hours with a twenty minute intermission. Then Barry went back out for another one hour extra show. That was because the fans wouldn't leave. Barry had found out the day that fan club tickets went on sale they sold out within fifteen minutes. When general public tickets went on sale a week later they sold out in thirty minutes. His manager David Taylor told him on Monday before the Barnes and Noble book signing that his album went out certified quadruple platinum.  On Tuesday night Concord Records president Glen Barros came out during the concert to present Barry with  five album plaques gold, platinum, double platinum, triple platinum and quadruple platinum albums. Plus five single plaques gold, platinum, triple platinum and quadruple platinum for Williamsburg. Barry's first song off the new album. Thank God he lived in a five floor town house. The stairwell walls on both sides were loaded with his gold, platinum, double platinum, triple platinum , quadruple platinum album and single records. Barry had the plaques for both his Broadway musical cast albums and his own recording career albums. During the concert Barry dedicated the song The Girl From The Bronx to his wife Carly. That's who he wrote the song for his wife Carly. The other thing Barry told everyone was checkout Monday May 1st. Rachel Ray Show. I'm surprising Rachel at the end of her show. He kept the reason he was going to be on Rachel's a secret. Barry knew there were a few tongues that would be waging. What Barry was going to do was to give Rachel $25,000 towards her favorite Pit Pull rescue group. Monday May 1st came Rachel Ray had seven minutes left after her what's for dinner segment. So she was going to do a little Q and Ray where the audience would get to ask her some questions. The first person got to ask her a question. When as she was answering the question the sliding glass doors opened and there stood Barry with a puppy at his side. He put his finger across his lips so no one would say anything. He walked over to where Rachel sat and went behind her.  He covered her eyes and said guess who? Rachel said that sounds like Barry Manilow. She turned around to see exactly who it was. She was completely correct It was Barry. Barry said to everyone hi gang. He asked Rachel to hold the leash but not to look down. He gave Rachel the leash. He then pulled an old bath towel out of a tote bag he brought with him. I'm putting this up here so your counter top doesn't get messed up. He took back the leash and bent down. He brought up a cute little brown and
white Pit Bull puppy. I thought I stop by and introduce you to the newest member of our family. This is Boomer our newest fur baby. Boomer is a Pit Bull puppy. His mommy was dropped off at BARC (Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition.) Boomer's mommy and siblings were all adopted. However Boomer  being the runt was not. My wife Carly's Beagle had died last January. She wanted to get another dog but she decided to wait for a while. I volunteer on Thursdays at BARC. I decided to surprise her with a dog for Christmas. That's when I saw this little Pit Bull puppy. I knew he need to be a part of our family. So I adopted him and gave him to Carly for Christmas. I have one other thing for you said Barry. He pulled a check out of his jacket pocket. This check is for $25.000 for your favorite animal charity. Rachel then asked if Carly still worked at the Bronx Zoo. No she doesn't anymore said Barry. She wanted a change so she opened up a veterinary hospital called Brooklyn Pet Care. Carly wondered if your Nutrish food would ever come in both kitten and puppy formulas. My
Labrador Retrievers Maggie and Max love the Peak Open Range and Northern Woodlands dog food.
However Boomer has to eat a different brand of food that's just for puppies.  Your Nutrish brand food and treats for cats and dogs is the only brand Brooklyn Pet Care recommends and sells. Well we need to go said Rachel. We'll see you when we see you. Rachel blew everyone a kiss while Barry waved Boomers hand.

Hi Everyone
I'm back. First off my vacation to San Francisco was lousy. The first evening we were there we went out to dinner with Garry, Denise, Adrienne and Neil to a Chinese restaurant.  It was a place Garry liked. Well the next morning around 5AM I woke up and had to run to the bathroom. I spent the next hour in the bathroom being sick. So Carly decided we should cut our vacation short. Which we did so I could be at home. I got nothing done while I was out there. So I scrapped the San Francisco idea all together. I tweeted yesterday that maybe I should do New Years Eve shows in my favorite city. Well some fans thought I was going to Paris France for New Years Eve. That's Brian Murphy who's nuts about Paris. Beside with all the stuff going on in Europe I didn't think we need to go there. My very favorite city is Montreal Canada. That's where I'm spending my New years Eve. And that's where I'm hoping a lot of you will be spending your New Years Eve with me in Montreal. So on Thursday April 27th me and David went up to Montreal to sign the contract for the two shows at Centre Bell I talked to Vikki about the fan club having it's first ever New Years convention. Vikki thought that was an excellent idea. Now that's exactly what we're going to do. Have our first ever BMIFC New Years Convention up in Montreal Canada. It will be from Thursday December 28th to Sunday December 31st. There will be all the usual stuff we do. On sit down dinner night I thought we'd have a belated Christmas gift exchange. Everyone is to bring a Barry Manilow related gift for the exchange. I've booked the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel for our convention. Right now I's closed for renovations. But they assured me it will be open in time for our convention. Head on over to my Facebook page
and go into the convention site to sign up. I hope you all are enjoying my new album Williamsburg. It was going to be a mix of new original material and all ready written old material. However when I looked at the list of songs I realized it was all original material album with the exception of Avenue C. Avenue C was written by Buck Clayton, Jon Hendricks and Dave Lambert. Well I've got to take the dogs out. See you somewhere down the road this summer.
