It's Christmas Time.

Barry was invited to perform at the Jingle Bell Ball on Sunday December 18th.  The Jingle Bell Ball was taking place at the Edison Ballroom. The invitation said black tie only and you had to RSVP by November 18th which Barry did. There would be a cocktail hour, followed by dinner, entertainment and dancing. The night had come. Barry was wearing his Joseph Abboud tuxedo with a white shirt, tie and loafers. Carly was wearing an ankle length red dress with a black lace overlay by Alberta Ferretti and black heels by BGTERE. Both Barry and Carly were wearing wool overcoats over their evening attire. Barry and Carly were going to the ball with Eddie and Kelsey Arkin and Marc Hulett and Andy Somers. Now Andy Somers was no relation to actress Suzanne Somers. Eddie sprung for the limousine. The limousine picked up Eddie and Kelsey first. Then it came to Barry and Carly's home. Across the Williamsburg bridge to pick up Marc and Andy. They would meet Bruce Sussman and Rob Schuter  there. Once there everyone checked their over coats. Then they went to find their table. all eight of them were sitting together at the same table. Barry, Eddie, Marc and Bruce went to get the drinks. What's on the menu? asked Bruce. Barry said first course is your choice of spinach salad or French onion soup with dinner rolls. The main course is rack of lamb with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. For desert there will be cheesecake with raspberry sauce or chocolate molten lava cake with whipped cream on top. There will be baked salmon for those who don't like lamb. Vegetarians will get a grilled vegetable platter. Back at their table Eddie asked Barry since your performing what songs are you going to sing? I'm singing Silver Bells, I'll be Home For Christmas and River. Kelsey excused her self and said she was going to the ladies room. In the ladies room she heard a familiar voice. Now don't tell me she's here thought Kelsey. Kelsey finished in the ladies room and was going back to her table. She heard the same voice she herd in the ladies room. So she looked to her left and saw her. I thought that's who I heard in the ladies room. When she got back to the table she said while I was in the ladies room I heard a familiar voice. I thought don't tell me she's here. Once I left the ladies room to come back to our table I heard that voice again. When I looked to my left and there was Suzanne. with her hubby Alan. Now I wonder if she brought Scott Nevins with her and Alan said Rob. Those two lately seem to tied at the hip so to speak said.  She wears the same makeup said Barry. It's an overly smoky eye and very peachy lipstick. Was she wearing her favorite style of dress? It's either above the knee or to the ankle off the shoulder dress with a slit up one side of the dress. Yes it was a floor length off the shoulder dress with a slit up one side. The color was navy with some sequins sais Kelsey. To wear a skin tight dress like that you need to wear spanks said Marc. Spanks replaced panty girdles said Carly. I am so glad I don't need to wear a panty girdle or spanks said Carly. As cold as it is out there and she wore an off the shoulder evening gown with a slit up one side said Barry. Now if the ball was taking place in Los Angeles or Palm Springs. I could see wearing the gown she wore. But this is New York and it's December when it's cold outside. But that's Suzanne said Barry. She loves to show off her smoking hot body. I like showing off my body but I also like to stay warm in the winter said Carly. Before I got married one Saturday Macy's had their monthly makeup day. Once a month on Saturday at Macy's in their cosmetics department they show you how to apply your makeup. I stayed after the makeup session was over. I explained to CJ the cosmetician that I was getting married next month. I asked her what kind of makeup would look on my wedding day. CJ asked me what kind of dress was I wearing? So I pulled out my cell phone and showed CJ my wedding dress. It was by one of my favorite designers Alberta Ferretti. CJ said oh so you're going with a bohemian look. I said yes I was. She showed me how to do a natural look for my wedding. Since I had never been married Barry felt I deserved a real Jewish wedding. That's what we did on Sunday July 12,2015. We were married at 61 Chelsea piers at the Sunset Terrace. We did have to deal with Scott Nevins trying to stop us from getting married. When he couldn't stop us he came to Montreal to see if could ruin our honeymoon. No luck there either. After we got back from Montreal he tried one more time and failed again. Dinner ended and it was time for the entertainment. Barry was up first. He opened with Silver Bells, I'll Be Home For Christmas and River.  A few other artists came up to perform. Then Barry came back out to do a few more songs. Barry, Debra, Shelly and Dana did Jingle Bells. Then he and Debra did Baby It's Cold Outside. Barry then mentioned he had written a new holiday song called Christmas In New York which he sang. Finally the evening ended and everyone went home. After Christmas Carly was on the internet when she saw that there was an earth quake in California. She sent Barry a quick text message to let him know about the earth quake. Barry then made a quick call to Garry to see if he and Denise were ok. Which they were. His family was up at his house in the Napa Valley. That was Rob and Susan. Adam and his family. Chris and his family. Kirsten and her family. Garry told Barry the earth quake was further south and slightly west in Nevada somewhere near Lake Tahoe. Carly saw that there was an earth quake out your way on the internet. So she let me know about it. We got another dog said Barry. another dog said Garry. How many is that now? he asked. Barry that's five. Max my Labrador Retriever. Abbey and Bialy sisters who are Weimaraners. Allie a Hungarian Vizsla a rescue from Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition. Charlie a Labrador Retriever mix from Magic Mission Beagle and Hound shelter from Buffalo New York. Now the big news is we bought the farm said Barry. You bought the what said Garry. The farm. Yes the farm said Barry. it's a four bed, three and a half bath farmhouse just outside of Lake Lucerne New York. The house sits on fifteen acres. It has a large building that was once and animal shelter. It will be that again said Barry. It will be Charlie's Home For Life Dog Sanctuary. A place where dogs can have a forever home. Then maybe get adopted by a family who wants to rescue a shelter dog. We'll have to have you and Denise come out for a visit he said.

Holidays

Hi Gang
It's Barry here wishing all my Jewish friends a Happy Hanukkah. To all the rest of my friends a very Merry Christmas. Hopefully you all got what you really wanted for Hanukkah or Christmas.  I got a big surprise this year. My album Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) is at number one for the fifth week in a row on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart. My Broadway songwriting partners and I just found out Here At The Mayflower is up for some Laurence Olivier Awards next year.  All six of us will be coming across the pond for the award ceremony. The ceremony will take place at the Royal Opera House on Sunday April 2, 2017. ITV will broadcast it live on television. While the BBC will broadcast on the radio.  I just put up on BTV my performance at the Jingle Bell Ball from Friday night. I sang Silver Bells, I'll Be Home For Christmas and River. Later on in the evening me Debra Byrd, Shelly Greco and Dana Robbins did Jingle Bells. Then Debra Byrd and I did Baby It's Cold Outside. Now on Friday December 30th and Saturday December 31st BTV will be broadcasting my Madison Square Garden concerts live for fans who can't be there. Prior to Friday nights concert BTV will broadcast my Friday afternoon sound check. On Tuesday January 3rd I'll be back on the road again at the Moda Rose Quarter in Portland Oregon. Then it's Seattle, Oakland, Phoenix, Vancouver, Edmonton. Regina, Winnipeg  Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal. After those dates I'll be off until June when I start my sheds tour.  Don't forget Wednesday July 5th thru Sunday July 9th is the BMIFC Denver Convention at the Downtown Sheraton in Denver Colorado. I will be doing four nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Friday July 7th thru Monday July 10th. Saturday July 8th is the barbeque at Red Rocks. That's instead of the usual formal sit down dinner we always have. At the Red Rocks shows I'll be doing a tribute to my dear friend John Denver. I'm singing three of his songs. Music Is you, Leaving On A Jet Plane and Calypso. Both John and I were friends with ocean explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau. Now at different times John and I got to go on the RV Calypso. That was Jacques Cousteau's ship. What a thrill that was for both of us to go on the Calypso. John went three times, Australia,  Atlantic Ocean and the Nile. I  went twice Alaska and the Galapagos Islands. Now every year  since my first trip on the Calypso Garry gives me a subscription to National Geographic Magazine. Christmas 2012 Carly got me a subscription to National Geographic Traveler magazine. Now every year I get their vacation travel book. It has vacations all across the world by air, sea and train. As all of you know I volunteer at Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition. I volunteer on Thursday afternoons when I'm not on the road. It's nice to see animals from BARC get themselves a forever home. BARC also takes in dogs from high kill shelters to see if they can find them good forever homes. The thing I don't like is when certain dogs don't find their forever home. Tiny, small and medium dogs have no problem getting a home. Big pure bread dogs, dogs that can be used for guard dogs and service dogs find places to go. Recently while on Facebook I saw a mixed breed dog. His name was Pecan Pie and he was from Magic Mission Beagle and Hound  Rescue up in Buffalo New York. Pecan Pie was a puppy part Labrador Retriever and part something else. Magic Mission Beagle and Hound Rescue was looking for a forever home for this little guy. I just knew he needed a forever home with be with me and Carly. I got their number and called them to tell them I wanted to adopt Pecan Pie,. Kevin Andrews my next door neighbor said he'd go up to Magic Mission Beagle and Hound Rescue to get Pecan Pie. Kevin went up on Thursday and came back on a Friday. He kept the puppy over night. Then the next day Saturday he brought Pecan Pie over to our house. Kevin told Carly the puppy's story and that I had adopted him. Carly gave him a new name. He's called Charlie now. Now we have five dogs. Labrador Retriever four year old male Max, Weimaraner puppies girls sisters Abbey and Bialy, Hungarian Vizsla on year old girl Allie and Labrador Retriever mix male Charlie. I feel sorry for those dogs who have trouble finding their forever home. After I started my One Voice Foundation to give a voice to cats and dogs who can't use their voice. I thought about building a dog sanctuary in upstate New York. This would be a place where dogs would get to spend their entire life being a dog. Now every dog we take in will go up on our sanctuary's website where people can find their forever friend and adopt them. if not they will be able to live out their life on earth just being a dog. Carly found some property just outside of Lake Lucerne New York. It's a four bed, three and half bath farmhouse on fifteen acres of land that is all fenced in. It has a big building where we can house the dogs. Since the newest family member Charlie is a rescue . Carly decided his picture would be perfect on the sanctuary sign. Next year we hope to open Charlie's Home For Life Dog Sanctuary. It will be a place where dogs can live out their forever life. All the dogs that come to the sanctuary are available for adoption. However if they don't get adopted they'll have a forever home at the sanctuary for as long as they live. We're going to employ people from near by Lake Lucerne who love dogs to help us run our dog sanctuary. For our forever residents they will get a proper burial in our dog cemetery when they pass away. Marc thinks I'm nuts. Garry said that's just Barry. Once we have Charlie's Home For Life dog Sanctuary up and running I'll put a link to the sit on my Facebook page. See those of you coming to the Madison Square Garden shows and the end of the week. Then see those of you with tickets to the rest of the surprise arena shows next year.
Hugs and love,
Barry and Carly
Sloppy dog licks from
Max, Abbey, Bialy, Allie and Charlie.

Oh My

Oh my was right. Carly had just come in the house. When she heard the door bell ring. She went to the front door and looked out the peep hole. It was her neighbor Kevin standing on the porch with a
puppy in his arms.  Carly opened the front door and told Kevin to come on in. Kevin said to Carly you're going to kill me. I'm going to kill you said Carly. Yes that's what Barry said you'd do when I showed up with this little puppy. Carly took a look at the puppy in Kevin's arms. Aw how cute said Carly. It's a boy dog and his name is Pecan Pie. Pecan Pie said Carly Yes said Kevin that's his name. He's part Labrador Retriever and something else. Pecan Pie comes from Magic Mission Beagle and Hound Rescue up in Buffalo NY. Barry saw this little guy on Facebook before he went out of town. Somehow Barry just knew this puppy needed a good home and he had the good home for him. If Barry could he'd bring home every stray dog he sees said Carly he would.  I do need to let the dogs out she said. So she called Max, Baily, Abbey and Lily. All four dogs came upstairs from the garden floor. Why don't we go outside said Carly. Maybe Pecan Pie he needs to go too. Carly, Kevin and the dogs went outside. Kevin took the leash off Pecan Pie. All five dogs took off running. Max, Baily, Abbey and Lily seem to be getting along with Pecan Pie. He definitely needs a different name said Kevin. Carly watched the puppy as he chased the other dogs. He looks like a Charlie  to me said Carly.  The puppy came over to Carly. You need a deferent name Pecan Pie. How about the name Charlie said Carly. The puppy perked up when he heard the name Charlie. Ok then Charlie it is she said. Kevin told Carly the puppy was almost a year old. He's had all his shots and he's been fixed. When we started dating Barry told me about this pipe dream he had said Carly. Barry mentioned how he'd love to have some property in upstate New York. So he can have a dog sanctuary. This sanctuary would be a place where dogs  that don't get their forever home would get to live. Instead of being euthanized in a gas chamber said Carly. Barry hates shelters that put dogs in gas chambers when they can find them their forever home. That is why Barry started The One Voice Foundation to give dogs a voice. Barry met Joe Dwyer who runs Daniel's Dream. Daniel was a stray dog running the streets. He was picked up and taken to this animal shelter, When they couldn't get him adopted they put him in a gas chamber with 16 other dogs. When the shelter people came back to take to dead dogs out. There was Daniel wagging his tail. They just couldn't put him in the gas chamber for a second time. So they tried to find him a home. The Dwyer family heard about Daniel and decided to adopt him. In the state of Pennsylvania there is Daniel's Law. That's a law that Joe Dwyer and Daniel got passed. The law bans gas chambers in the state of Pennsylvania. Joe and Daniel are trying to get that same law passed here in New York State. Daniel is called the Miracle Beagle because of surviving the gas chamber.  Kevin told Carly he need to get his three dogs outside. So he left and went home to let his dogs out.  On Saturday December 17th Carly ran into Kevin and Amy at Trader Joe's. When's Barry coming home? asked Amy. He has one more show tomorrow night in Denver at the Pepsi Center. So he should be home sometime on Monday said Carly.  Now while we were dating Barry told me about his pipe dream to have a dog sanctuary.  It would be a place where dogs of all ages who can't get their forever homes. Would be able to live out their life instead of being euthanized. I decided that Barry's pipe dream should become a reality. We've been talking for while about buying some property in upstate New York somewhere. Barry said he wanted a farmhouse retreat with plenty of land for that dog sanctuary he's been talking about. I went on Realtor.com in June. That was while Barry was over in London. I found a farmhouse with fifteen acres  just east of Lake Lucerne Warren county New York. The farmhouse has four bedrooms, three and a half baths with a two car attached garage. It also had a barn on the property. I went up a few weekends this past summer. Plus I was up there for a week in September. My parents came that week to help me with the furniture. I had some local house painters who painted each room the colors I wanted. I've been collecting furniture and other stuff then storing it all in a rented storage unit. This past weekend I went up there to get the farmhouse ready for Christmas. I had the neighbor down the road help me pick out a Christmas tree. While I was there I made gingerbread men cookies. I popped popcorn and strung it with cranberries for the tree. The tree has lights and old fashioned decorations. I got food for the refrigerator. Woods been chopped so we can build a fire. Barry will be home tomorrow sometime said Carly. I told him I thought we should spend Christmas up at the farmhouse. Barry doesn't have to be back until December 28th. That's so he can get ready for the two Madison Square Garden concerts On Monday morning Carly got up and let the dogs out. She was off for the next two weeks. When the dogs were done she brought them inside. She cleaned out their bowels and gave fresh water plus food. Carly then went into the kitchen to make breakfast. After breakfast she went upstairs to pack her suitcase. She had gotten dog food and treats the last weekend when she was at the farmhouse to decorate for Christmas. Soon she heard the front door open. Hello everyone I'm home.  Carly came downstairs to greet him. She gave Barry a kiss on the lips. Oh we've got some four legged friends eyeing us said Barry. He picked up the puppy and said you must be Pecan Pie. No he got a his name changed to Charlie said Carly.  Hi Charlie
said Barry as he scratched his fur. I have something for you Carly said. So Carly went downstairs to her computer room. She came back up with a wrapped package. This is for you she said. You can go a head and open it. Barry unwrapped the package. It was a sign that read Charlie's Home For Life Dog Sanctuary. While we were dating you told me about your pipe dream of having a dog sanctuary.  Since we found that farmhouse before you went to London. I thought it would be the perfect place for your dog sanctuary said Carly. In fact I thought we should go spend Christmas up there this year. Oh guess who lives up the road from us your co-producer Eddie Arkin. Eddie lives up the road from us really said Barry. Yes and he invited us over for Christmas Eve.

Rodgers Place Tuesday January 24th Edmonton, Brant Centre Friday January 27th, MTS Centre Monday January 30th Winnipeg, Air Canada Thursday February 2nd, Videotron Monday February Quebec City and Centre Bell Wednesday February 8th Montreal. Yes we were able to add a concert in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre on Thursday February 2nd. All the venues were willing to cooperate with me on the changes. Tickets for the Air Canada Centre are on sale now for the same price as the rest of the Canadian shows are. The tickets are $75 for platinum, $30 for front floor, $25 for back floor, $20 for lower bleachers, $15 for middle bleachers and $10 for nose bleed back bleachers. Last nights Pepsi Centre concert in Denver was a blast. I got a huge surprise when saxophonist Kenny G. came out to play with me. Kenny C. is also on Concord Records. Kenny G. and I were also label mates on Arista Records. I've been starting these shows with Do You Know Who's Living Next Door? from Here At The Mayflower. As all of you know that song starts out with a saxophone solo. Now I figured the saxophone solo was coming from Dana Robbins. But it wasn't it was coming from both Kenny G. and Dana Robbins. Later on Kenny G. and Dana Robbins played saxophone on my jazz version of Billy Joel's New York State Of Mind. Then we also did a jazz version of mine and Marty Panzer's song It's A Miracle Dana was the one who figured out how to give that song a jazz feel. Now I'm off till Friday December 29th and Saturday December 31st when I'm playing two nights at Madison Square Garden. The Saturday night show won't start until nine thirty. The first act will start at nine thirty and go to ten thirty. Intermission will be ten thirty to ten fifty. The second act will start at eleven and go to twelve midnight when we ring in 2017. The New Years Eve show will have some surprises and special guests. Also I have a new furry son named Charlie. Charlie is a mutt. He's half Labrador Retriever and half something else. Charlie came from Magic Mission  Beagle and Hound Rescue in Buffalo New York. That now makes five dogs. Max a Labrador Retriever, Abbey and Bialy Weimmaraners, Lily a Hungarian Vizsla and Charlie the Labrador Retriever mix.  Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.; Oh and speaking of New Years Eve. The entire New Years Eve concert at Madison Square Garden is being broadcasted live on BBC American, BBC Canada , BBC 2 UK and ABC 3 Australia. As well as it's being taped for a DVD that will come out next year. I added a suggestion section to my Facebook page. If you have some ideas tell me about them. If you happen to be in New York City or you live in and around New York City. On Saturday December 17th 7pm the Bronx Zoo is having their caroling around the animals. This is something they do every year. Carly says the kids love singing to the animals. So come join us as we to go Christmas caroling around the zoo this year. Then after the caroling there will be hot cocoa and homemade cookies for everyone. If you come out for the annual Bronx Zoo Holiday Fest you will see me there. I was asked to lead the caroling thru the zoo. You'll even get to met one of the newest zoo babies. His name is Barry and he's a giraffe. His mom's name is Lola and his dad's name is Groucho. There's two other male giraffe's named Chico and Harppo. And yes they were named after three of the Marx Brothers. I'm also telling Carly we need to go past the Kola Bears habitat. One of the Kola's is named Garry. He is sponsored by my ex manager Garry Kief. I sponsoring Barry the giraffe. I also sponsor Manny the Polar Bear.  So until I see some of you at Madison Square Garden on Friday December 30th and Saturday December 31st. Or sometime next year during the outdoor sheds tour. Have a great holiday.
Hugs,
Barry

Facebook Post For November 29th.

Hi Gang,
It's me Barry coming at you from Hot'Lanta Yes I'm in Atlanta already for Wednesday nights Philips Arena concert. Now Friday was "Black Friday", Saturday was " Shop Small"(Shop your local shops in your neighborhood.),  Monday was "Cyber Monday" and today is "Giving Tuesday."  In honor of Giving Tuesday I'm giving you fans two free digital downloads The New Girl In 2B and Who Is The Shadow Man? from Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.)  I've got some  great news to share with all of you. I made the cutoff period to be nominated for Grammys for 2017. So I just found out from Marc I'm up for three Grammy Awards for 2017. They are  Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album and Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance Male. Wish me luck gang. Also I was also asked to preform at the Grammy Awards. The Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday February 12, 2017 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles CA. So you know where I'll be on Sunday February 12. 2017. In fact they asked me to open the Grammy Awards. I said sure I would gladly do that. I decided to do the gospel version of It's' A Miracle that Ray Charles taught me. So what's going to happen is we're going to take Ray Charles' part of It's A Miracle and put that on a screen behind me. That way it will look like he's performing with me. Like he did on my second TV special. I'm sure you all saw that photo of me standing with three other guys that was shared all over Facebook. Well that's my head but not my body. My head was photo shopped onto someone else's body.  I'm not that skinny people. I have no idea who the two guys on the outside are. I do know the second guy from the left is Scott Nevins. I know what Scott wants however he's not going to get that. I'm a very happily married man. I have been married for one year, five months and eighteen days. What Scott doesn't understand is I married my best friend on Sunday July 12, 2015. Scott has always thought I was bisexual. Which I'm neither that bisexual nor gay. The reason he thought I was bisexual is because he wants me as his life partner. Not going to happen ever. My life partner is Mrs. Barack Manilow. Also known also as Dr. Carly Manilow DMV(Doctor of Veterinary Medicne). She is the head veterinarian at the Bronx Zoo Bronx New York. Many of you fans also know Carly as one of you guys a Barry Manilow fan and fellow BMIFC member. Some of you are friends with Carly.  Some of you belong to the local sanctioned fan club she started called One Voice BMFC. just so you know I am not very sick.  Carly sent me a post from one of her Barry Manilow Facebook groups. Where some fan said that someone said I was very sick. Well I'm not very sick. I saw my general doctor last month. He said I gained five pounds since the last time I was there. I also got my flu shot. Maybe Brian Murphy  might be the one who's sick. I haven't seen him  since the Let Freedom Ring benefit on Veterans day. Up next is Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, San Antonio, Chicago and Denver. Then I'm off until Thursday December thirtieth and the thirty first NYE when I'm at Madison Square Garden. After that there's  four show in the US and six shows in Canada. Then I'll be off until June when I start my summer sheds tour across America. It's time to go for dinner. David just came into say everyone else is ready to go for dinner. To all who are coming to Philips Arena tomorrow night your in for a great concert. As Rachel Ray says "See you when I see you."
Love and sloppy wet kisses,
Barry.

Unscheduled Surprise Eighteen City Tour

Barry was on the road again.  It was Thursday morning seven am and everyone was at JFK for their flight to Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Tonight was the first night of  eighteen unscheduled surprise concerts that Barry was doing. It was Barry his usual band of suspects. Plus Debra Byrd and Dana Robbins and the Grant Street campus chorus. Barry went into his warehouse of clothes, props an sets for his Mayflower  fire escape set. That's the set he used back in 2001/2002 during his Manilow Live Tour. Barry was opening his show with I'm Coming Back from Here At The Mayflower. For the first half of these shows Barry was wearing a bolero jacket that looked like what a elevator operator would wear. Kenny Garrett was the designer behind the bolero jacket. The band was wearing bolero jackets too. Only in a different color than Barry's was. The girls Dana Robbins, Debra Byrd and Shelly Greco would be wearing black strapped dresses with sparkly bolero jackets. They all got to JFK at five am for their seven am flight. They would be arriving in Detroit at around ten am eastern time. Once they got to Detroit they went by bus to their hotel. After Barry got to his hotel room and put his suitcase down. He decided to go for a walk. He headed over to the Palace of the Auburn Hills to check it out. Once there he saw some fans standing there. He stopped to say hello to them, pose for pictures and sign some stuff for them. He answered their questions about why he was doing all these unscheduled surprise shows.  Hopefully you are with someone who can watch your spot while you go to eat,  hit the ladies room and change clothes said Barry. I went into my warehouse of clothes, props and sets. So I could bring back the fire escape sets from the Manilow Live Tour 2001/2002. Me and the boys in the band are wearing bolero jackets and black pants that look like an elevator operator outfit. That's for the first half of the show. And yes all these shows are two hours long. What I did to create this unscheduled surprise road trip. Was I made a list of cities across the US I wanted to perform in. Then I checked  to see if each city had an arena in them. I then checked their calendar to see when they had a free day that I could perform there. I quickly snatched the empty dates for this unscheduled surprise road trip. I'm doing major cities in the US and Canada from November seventeen to January thirty first. I checked to see which days were clear for me to preform in.  So that was how I figured out this unscheduled surprise mini concert tour. I'm off tomorrow. Then on Saturday 11/19 I'm at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh PA. Then on Sunday 11/20 it's the Barclay Center Brooklyn NY. Off Monday. Tuesday 11/22 it's the Prudential Center Newark NJ. On  Wednesday 11/23 it's the TD Garden Boston MA. Off Thanksgiving and black Friday. Then on Saturday 11/26 it's Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia PA. Off Sunday. Then Monday 11/28 Colonial Life Columbia SC. Last but not least Wednesday 11/30 Philips Arena Atlanta GA.  Yes I'm added eight shows in December and ten shows in January. I put up the new cities with their the dates in a Facebook message on my page. Go check it out the dates on my calendar section of my Facebook page. I hope to see you at one of those concerts. Yes they're all arena shows. so as many fans can come see these unscheduled shows as possible.  I'm also doing  Platinum Packages at all of them. Tickets will be the same price for those shows as the ones I'm doing right now. $75 Platinum, $30 front floor, $25 back floor, $20 lower bleachers, $15 middle bleachers and $10 nose bleed bleachers. Oh BTW I just added some Canadian dates in January. So the March Canada tour is now in January. We didn't get enough fans for the Weekend In Canada so we canceled it. Tickets for the Canadian dates are the same price as the US dates. And yes I'm promoting Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) album. Fans doing platinum will get a vinyl copy of that autographed. It's lunch time so I need to go eat. See you all tonight said Barry. Barry went back to the hotel to get the rest of his group. Then they headed to this restaurant he heard about on Diners, Drive-In's and Dives. Back in two thousand fifteen Barry and company went to Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh for lunch. Every sandwich you got came with the works and French fries on them too.   Barry was glad he put together this unscheduled surprise road trip since his house was in a mess. The first floor which was the master floor was being remodeled. Barry had fallen in love with the farmhouse style. While he was out looking for new bedroom furniture. He saw the Magnolia Homes line of furniture by Chip and Joanna Ganes of HGTV's Fixer Upper.  He emailed Joanna Ganes to ask her about the master floor color scheme. He explained to Joanna that the master bedroom, bath and closets took up the first floor of his five floor brownstone. He wanted to paint the walls on that floor a sleepy blue color. Then would the shiplap bed in dove grey go with the silhouette five drawer chest mirror dresser and the cameo night stand all  in white . He took pictures of all these furniture pieces and the paint color and put them all together. He got a reply from her saying that everything would look fine together. Carly was in charge of everything while he was gone. Carly was coming with her friends,  Vicki Smith, Janice Primavera, Rita Zucker, Kathy Rooney Henrey, Melissa Lang and Libby Thomas. These were all members of the One Voice Barry Manilow Fan Club. The girls were going to the Barclay Center concert on Sunday November twentieth and the Prudential Center concert on Tuesday November twenty second. Barry had gotten all seven of Carly's friends including her Platinum Packages for the Barclay Center concert. Carly had taken Thanksgiving week off. On Monday the twenty first the girls were going into Manhattan to see Here At The Mayflower Barry's latest musical. Barry had gotten them tickets to see it. Kathy mentioned what a nice guy Barry was.  Carly then told Kathy Barry had gotten them tickets to his Wells Fargo Arena concert in Philadelphia PA. He had also sprung for the Hyatt at the Bellevue and the Amtrak tickets. This was for Carly, Kathy, Vicki and Janice. Now the four of them would be sitting in the second row center section. Carly also go a hold of Vicki and Janice to tell them about Saturday nights show at the Wells Fargo Arena. We have tickets in the second row center section, round trip Amtrak tickets and one night at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. Then on Sunday Barry said he was taking us to XIX (Nineteen) restaurant for brunch.

Facebook Post Friday November 18th,

Hi Gang
It's me Barry coming at you from Pittsburgh. Yes Pittsburgh where I'll be tomorrow night at PPG Paints Arena. There has been a big change in the schedule. I love it when people just plan forget to tell you they double booked. Meaning they booked one person first then forgot they booked that person and then booked you after. Which is what the people at Radio City Music Hall did. They booked both me and Tony Bennett for the same  dates Wednesday December twenty eighth thru Sunday January first. So I'm giving up my Radio City Music Hall shows. Since they booked me after they booked Tony Bennett's Holiday shows. Which were the same dates I asked for. Not to worry everyone. I added another eighteen more unscheduled surprise arena shows for both December and January. Starting with Sunday December fourth Amway Center Orlando FL., Tuesday December sixth Fort Lauderdale FL., Friday December ninth Smoothe King Center New Orleans LA., Sunday December eleventh American  Airlines Center San Antonio TX., Thursday December fifteenth United Center Chicago IL., Sunday December nineteenth Pepsi Center Denver CO. and Friday December thirtieth and Saturday December thirty first Madison Square Garden.  Tuesday January third Moda Rose Quarter Portland OR., Friday January sixth Key Arena Seattle WA., Sunday January eighth Oracle Arena Oakland CA. and Wednesday January eleventh Talking Stick Resorts Arena Phoenix AZ. Hey Canadian fans Guess what I'm coming to your neck of the weeds much sooner. Instead of coming in March I'm coming in January. Yes you heard me right I said January. Now the dates are as follows Rodgers Arena January 20th Vancouver BC, Rodgers Palace Sunday January 22nd Edmonton AL, Rodgers Place Tuesday January 24th Regina SA, Canadian Tire Centre Friday January 27th Ottawa ON, Centre Bell Sunday January 29th Montreal QC and Videotron  January 31st Quebec City. There will be Platinum's for all the January shows in the US and Canada. Ticket prices will stay the same front floor $30, back floor $25, Lower bleachers $20, middle bleachers $15 and nose bleed bleachers $10. Platinum Packages will be $75 each. Front row center seat, after show backstage meet Barry for ten minutes, photo taken with Barry, vinyl copy of Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) autographed and a disposable camera with photos of you and Barry. Oh and I'm still doing my summer sheds tour next summer. For anyone going to the  PPG Paints Arena concert tomorrow night. You're in for a treat. See you there everyone that's going.
Hugs,
Barry

Now What?

Barry and Carly came back from their early Saturday morning bike ride.  They got off their bikes and put them away. Carly went to clean the dogs water bowls and get them some fresh dog food. Barry went upstairs to make breakfast waffles sounded real good to him. Now a few things had changed for the week of November thirteenth thru November nineteenth. First off the album signing location had changed. It was going to be on Monday November fourteenth at Barnes and Noble book store. Rough Trade records had a small fire l two weeks ago. Rachel Ray's show got canceled because Rachel came down  with a sever case of pneumonia. Barry sent her a bouquet of flowers. One the card he put "Take care. See you when I see you. Barry" Amy Grant was doing The Today Show on Friday November eighteenth and that was fine with Barry. He was doing six surprise concerts to promote his latest album Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) Facebook Post Sunday November 13th.

Hi Gang,
It's me Barry here on Facebook. I have some very exciting news to share with all of you.  I've planed some unscheduled surprise concerts starting on Thursday November 17th and going thru Wednesday November 30th. That's a total of eight arena concerts. Yes I know I said I hated arenas. These arena concerts will give more fans a chance to see these unscheduled concerts. These are the unscheduled concert cities and dates. Thursday November 17th Palace of the Auburn Hills Detroit MI. Saturday November 19th PPG Paints Arena Pittsburgh PA, Sunday November 20th Barclay Center Brooklyn NY., Tuesday November 22nd Prudential Center Newark NJ,, Wednesday November 23rd TD Bank Gardens Boston MA., Saturday November 26th Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia PA., Monday November 28th Colonial Life Arena Columbia SC and Wednesday November 30th Philips Arena Atlanta GA.  I'm bringing my usual musical suspects with me. Plus two extra surprises Debra Byrd vocalist and Dana Robbins saxophonist and vocalists. And my regular band mates.  Russ McKinnon
drums, David Rosenblatt percussion vocals, Marc Levine bass vocals, Mike Lent guitar vocals, Ron Pedley keyboards, Rick Turner trombone, Kevin Simons trumpet,  Billy Kidd keyboard vocals, Shelly Greco vocals, Kion Harris vocals and Joey Melotti keyboards, musical director vocals. Then I've invited the Grant Street Campus chorus to back me up for my eight city concert dates. To give you a little history on the Grant Street Campus. Back on February 5, 1900 Eastern District High School opened at Driggs Avenue and South 3rd Street. Then in 1907 it moved to 227 Marcy Avenue where I went to school and graduated from. It moved one more time in 1981 to 850 Grant Street it's last address. Eastern District High School folded in the spring of 1996. Then it reopened that fall 1996 as four smaller schools The High School for Enterprise, Business and Technology, Progress High School for Professional Careers, The High School for Legal Studies and Eastern District Senior Academy. Eastern District Academy folded after just two years. The other three are still going. So I am bring their chorus along on my eight city road trip. They will be backing me up on One Voice and the Ray Charles gospel version of It's A Miracle. Ticket prices are as follows.  Front floor except first row center. $30, back main floor $25, lower bleachers $20, main bleachers $15 and nose bleed bleachers $10. The proceeds from all eight shows are going to The Manilow Music Project and The One Voice Foundation. Just show up at the venue the day of the show. It's first come first serve for seats.  Except for the front row center which is being saved for Platinum Packages. There are fifteen seats in the font row center at each venue. Those fifteen seats are going as Platinum Packages for $75. The Platinum Packages consist of One front row center seat, after fter concert meet Barry for ten minutes, photo with Barry and autographed vinyl copy of Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) and disposable camera with photos taken by David Taylor personal assistant. There are fifteen Platinum Packages for first come first serve fans. For those seats call the BMIFC number on Monday November 14th at  one pm. Those seats are first come first serve for fifteen lucky fan club members. Can't wait to see you guys at one of these eight unscheduled shows.
Hugs,
Barry

The Latest Stuff.

Barry just got home from the local Verizon store. His brand new iPhone 7 had died on him about two weeks ago. So he took it back to the Verizon store where he got it from. The guy who does the repair work told Barry he had a defective iPhone 7. The guy also said there was a batch of  iPhone 7's that were defective. He told Barry he could get another iPhone 7 or a different cellphone brand free since this one was defective. Barry decided not to go with another iPhone. Instead he decided to go with a Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Edge. That's the phone his wife Carly had and she said she had no trouble with hers. In fact Carly had an iPhone 3 when they came out. That one was defective when Carly got it. Carly decided not to get another iPhone 3. Since she heard from some of her other friends that they too were having trouble with their iPhones. She asked her family and friends what cellphone brands they had.  Two friends said they had iPhone 3's.  One friend had an LG Terra flip cellphone.  Danny and Tony two of her employ's had Sharp cellphones. Jeff her second in command had a Samsung cellphone. Her parents both had Samsung cellphones, Her sister Jill and husband had iPhone 3, She decided to try the Samsung's Galaxy brand. Carly went with the Samsung Galaxy Note brand which ended up working fine for her. That's the cellphone she'd been using ever since. Barry decided to go with the same Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Edge that his wife Carly had. Once he got his new cellphone working he called Garry to check it out. Hello said Garry. Hi Garry it's Barry. Oh  so what's up/ asked Garry. Well my iPhone 7 died on me and I took it to the Verizon store. The guy who fixes the phones there called me to tell me I had a defective iPhone 7. He said the Apple had a bunch of iPhone 7's that were defective. So I could get another iPhone 7 or a different brand free. I switched to  the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Edge which is what Carly has. I'm calling you on that right now. It has everything that I wanted in a cellphone. In fact the Galaxy Note 6 Edge has a very cool design to it. As for my other Apple products they're working just fine. Now I did get a new iMac desktop. I was due for a new one of those any way said Barry. Our vacation to Denver was great. The Sheraton in downtown Denver is going to be great for next years BMIFC convention in June.  I talked to the head of Red Rocks about next years barbecue on Saturday July eighth. Then while I was there I asked about adding one more concert to the three I was already doing. there. They checked their calendar schedule for July. They told me I could add an extra concert on Monday July tenth. So that's what I'm doing adding an extra
concert to my Red Rock Amphitheatre shows. I'll still be able to get down to Dallas for the Thursday July thirteenth Gexa Amphitheatre  show said Barry. Now you and Denise are still coming out for Thanksgiving? asked Barry. Sure said Garry. The guest list consisted of Gary and Denise Kief, Marc Hulett and Andy Bernstein, David and Christy Taylor and Bruce Sussman and Rob Shuter. So that's ten people total. Dinner consists of smoked turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole,  corn casserole, cranberry relish and crescent rolls. For desert Dutch apple pie and pumpkin pie with your choice of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Garry was providing the wines for the dinner. Two bottles of Gallo Pinto Noir red wine and two bottles of Gallo Chardonnay white wine. Marc and Andy are bringing assorted appetizers . Bruce and Rob are bringing homemade cookies from the US and UK. David and Christy are bringing Christy's homemade vanilla ice cream. One of Barry's birthday presents was a smoker from his father-in-law John Simon. So that's why Barry decided to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. Then on  black Friday everyone was going to Rockefeller Center to go ice skating. Then afterwards they were going to go to Serendipity 3 for a frozen hot chocolate or what ever sweet treat you wanted. Barry told Carly he was going out of town Saturday November nineteenth, Sunday November twentieth and Monday November twenty first. Oh you are she said. Yes I'm doing three unannounced concerts. Saturday November nineteenth is PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh PA., Sunday November twentieth is Palace of the Auburn Hills Detroit MI and Monday November twenty first United Center Chicago IL. The shows are two hours each and they start at eight pm eastern  Pittsburgh and Detroit and 8pm central Chicago. Tickets will be given out at the venue. It's a first come first serve as to where you'll sit. Get their early and you'll sit close. Get there late it's nose bleed. Tickets are twenty five dollars main floor, twenty dollars lower bleacher section, fifteen dollars middle bleacher section and ten dollars nose bleed section. Do you and Cathy  Zaleski Wais want to go to all three shows? asked Barry. Sure let me send Cathy a private Facebook message asking her if she can go. Then go to your Facebook groups and tell them this news. I sure will said Carly. Carly message Cathy privately on Facebook. Cathy said yes without hesitation. Then Carly went to each Facebook group Manilow Forever Night Songs, Barry Manilow and Friends, Friend-ilows, Barry's Girls and Friends Who Love Barry Manilow. She told the members in the groups about Barry's three unscheduled shows in Pittsburgh, Detroit and Chicago. a couple of members said to Carly "You must be joking." Carly told them no she wasn't joking. I have a sinking feeling that Barry's going to debut some songs off Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) during these. shows.  Barry was on the phone when he came down to Carly's computer room to tell her he was taking the dogs out. After he told Carly that he told the person he was talking to that he was doing all the songs from both Here At The Mayflower and Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) at the shows. So Carly passed on that little piece of information to the ladies in those groups. The Let Freedom Ring benefit concert went off without a hitch.  Artists who took part in this benefit were Billy Joel, Kenny G., Dave Koz, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkle, Carly Simon, Carole King, Santana, Melissa Manchester, David Grohl and Brian Murphy. Paul Simon and Art Garfunkle did their song Sounds Of Silence. Together they all raised $734,697 for The Wounded Worrier Project and American VetDogs.

Facebook MessageOctober 31st.

Hi Gang,
It's me Barry wishing you a Happy Halloween. Great news everyone. While Carly and I were in Denver. We went out to Red Rocks Amphitheatre. That was to firm up the barbecue for Saturday July eighth during the convention next year. While we were there I asked if I could add another show to the three concerts I'm already doing. They checked their schedule and told me I could add another show after my Sunday July ninth show. So I'm adding a fourth show on Monday July tenth. Tickets for that show go on sale  Monday November seventh at one pm eastern time. I also checked out the Sheraton Downtown Denver hotel where the BMIFC convention will take place next year. We have all our rooms for the BMIFC stuff booked and ready to go for next year. That was where Carly and I stayed. It's right in the heart of downtown Denver. Oh and the other thing is I've invited my friends Debra Byrd vocalist and Dana Robbins saxophone to come on tour with me next year. They both said yes. Now I still have my backup singers from this past summers Palladium run. That's Kion Harris, Dana Stevens, Billy Kidd and Shelly Greco.  I'll have with me on stage Russ McKinnon on drums, David Rosenblatt  percussion, Marc Levine, bass, Mike Lent guitar, Ron Pedley keyboard,  Kevin Heart trombone, AJ Meyers trumpet, Dana Robbins saxophone, Joey Melotti musical director, keyboards, vocals, Debra Byrd vocals, Kion Harris  vocals, Dana Stevens vocals, Billy Kidd keyboard vocals and Shelly Greco vocals. These talented ladies and gentlemen will be with me for
both the Canadian and summer outdoor tours. also for the Australian  tour in June of two thousand eighteen.  Until next month when you'll see me on TV.  Then at Radio City Music Hall for my eleven night holiday run December twenty eighth thru January seventh. Oh One more thing I got Facebook to take down the fake Barry Manilow page. It was put up by someone trying to pose as me. Marc found out who the person was who did that and they've ban from Facebook forever. The person with the fake Barack Manilow page used a black square with my last name MANILOW in all caps. It made some fans wonder what was going on. So I added calendar pages to my Facebook page. Each calendar from November two thousand sixteen to December two thousand seventeen has the dates I'm doing stuff so you'll know what I'm up to. Oh and by the way there are a few surprises that I have  put on those calendar pages. What stuff you might ask. Well how about a two and a half  hour New Years Eve concert special. You heard me right Saturday December thirty first two thousand sixteen's New Years Eve concert is going to be broadcasted live on BBC America, BBC Canada, BBC One UK and BBC Australia. BBC Australia is a new channel that everyone in Australia will be able to get. Why two and a half hours you might ask. Well a two hour concert wit a half hours worth of encore numbers. That will be fan requested songs. So tick your requests on my Facebook page Now as for what time in your area or country. US and Canada  8pm eastern, 7pm central, 6pm mountain and 5pm pacific. UK 12am UK time. Australia 10am Brisbane, 11am Melbourne and Sydney and 8am Perth.  Then three hours later BBC One, America, Canada and Australia will show this again. Oh and one more quick thing. The New Years Eve concert is being audio and video taped for a CD and DVD combo.
See you when I see you.

On Facebook

Carly decided to checkout Facebook to see what was going on over there. She saw a photo of Hillary Clinton mentioning she hated Catholics, Jews, need Latinos, blacks and LGBTQ's. Carly didn't like that Hillary Clinton said that stuff even in private. But now she was saying this in public where others could see what she was saying. As she looked at her iMac she said Hillary Clinton I will never vote for you. I will not vote for someone who lies and calls people names. Barry came into Carly's home office. He saw her post on Facebook and said to her "Good for you." I do my research by reading what's out there said Barry. I actually have a few friends who are actually liberal Republicans. Oh really said Carly. I have never heard of liberal Republicans before. Those liberal Republicans would never vote for Mrs. Clinton. Because they don't like what she stands for. Open borders, Muslims by the millions coming in to the USA. One set of currency across the entire world. One world under one government with everyone praying Allah. Jewish people like me and you being killed because she, President Obama and George Soros hate us Jewish people. Like I said to Garry yesterday I don't talk politics with anyone. I never discuss which political party I'm affiliated with. Democrat, Independent or Republican none of anyone's business but mine said Barry. Just like there are liberal Republicans there are conservative Democrats. I know some conservative Democrats too. Garry told me yesterday he wasn't voting for Hillary Clinton. He said she just creeps him out.  Now Palm Springs is a very big Democratic city said Barry. That's partly why I kept my politics to myself.  Then I found out Suzie Q. was telling everyone I'm a loyal Democrat. I never ever told her what political party I'm affiliated with,. Over the years I have given to people running for office from both parties. If I like what they  were stalking about. That's why next month I orchestrated the Let Freedom Ring Benefit concert on Veterans Day November eleventh.  It's to give back to the men and women in out military who need our love and support. The benefit concert is taking place at Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale Friday October  fourteenth. So far on the list I have Billy  Joel, Paul Simon, Carly Simon, Carole King, Santana, Pharrell Williams,  Alicia Keys, Melissa Manchester, Kenny G., Dave Koz, Brian Murphy and me. I asked Bette Midler to be a part of this benefit. She said no because she  thought this was to raise money for Donald Trump which it is not.  The proceeds are going to the Wounded Warriors Project and American Vetdogs. I'm singing Could It Be Magic, Brooklyn Blues, New York City Rhythm, New York State Of Mind  a duet with Billy Joel . Both Kenny G. and Dave Koz will be playing saxophone on that song. At the end Brian Murphy and I are doing a duet on the Ray Charles version of It's A Miracle. Then I'm singing One Voice and Let Freedom Ring. During Let Freedom Ring the other artist will come out to finish singing the song with me. Then as a group we will all sing America The Beautiful and This Is America a song written by Billy Joel. Every recording artist will get five hundred tickets for their fan clubs to let their members purchase. Don't worry I already paid for you and Cathy Zaleski-Wais' tickets. So you and Cathy are good to go. I'm even paying for Cathy's air fare.  Ask her if she can come out on Wednesday so she can spend the weekend with you. Cathy can stay with us in one of the guestrooms. I was thinking she could come into New York on Wednesday then stay until Sunday when she can leave. I'm getting you tickets so you can see Here At The Mayflower on Thursday night. I'll go with you ladies on Thursday and take you out for dinner.  Friday night is the Let Freedom Ring concert at Madison Square Garden. I was thinking on Saturday night we could go to the Brooklyn Bowl for their fried chicken said Barry. I'll even make sure Cathy gets an autographed vinyl copy of Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) That's sounds fine said Carly. I'll send Cathy a private message on Facebook and see if she can come out then. Once I get an answer I'll let you know so you can get her airline ticket. You can tell Cathy her ticket will be paid for by my frequent flier miles. I have enough miles for about five more free airline tickets. Oh and tell her she'll be flying Delta my favorite airlines.  Barry left and went upstairs to take the dogs out.  Max, Abbey Bialy and Lily the rescued Vizsla puppy. Lily was at the BARC when Barry saw her on one of his regular volunteer Thursdays. Lily was an under weight puppy who was scared and cowered in the corner of her pen Barry just knew that Lily need to live with them and their other dogs. Barry brought the dogs inside. Carly was sorting through the mail. She gave Barry his pile of mail. I got clobbered on Facebook said Carly. Now why would you get clobbered over there asked Barry. Because I reposted something I agreed with she said. So what else is new?  he asked. I got clobbered  earlier today on Facebook said Barry. Someone said I was definitely voting for Hillary Clinton. To which I commented to the person "No I'm not voting for her. I'm not even with her period." To which the person commented under my comment "You have to be with her there is no other choice." I commented to that. "There is another choice  beside her. I'm an American and not a socialist. I don't want the New World Order that she the president and George Soros are advocating. I want freedom of speech,  one nation under God and by the people for the people." I want to put my right hand over my heart and say the pledge of allegiance. I want to sing  American The Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner. So if you want to vote for what she, the president and George Soros are advocating then vote for her. However I will not vote for her." So I'm sort of sure I'm dead meat so to speak said Barry. Oh  ok said Carly. Now she knew which way Barry was going to go. As always he does his homework thought Carly. Before he makes any decisions of any kind. You know what said Carly. What said Barry. I'm so glad I married you. Now if your hungry that new bagel place opened up. I'll take you there for lunch. Now before you say one word this is my treat  she said. Sure thing said Barry. So they grabbed their jackets and Carly took her cross body handbag. The new bagel place is three streets away so we can walk there she said. Cool said Barry. So out the door they went. They got to the bagel place and ordered what they wanted. Just then Barry's cell phone rang. Hello said Barry. Barry it's Marc. Ok Marc what's up. Well said Marc. Well what Marc just spit it out said Barry. I have the  November fourth issue of The National Enquirer in front me. And said Barry. You made the cover with a smaller photo of Suzie Q. also on the cover. With the cover line saying Suzanne Tells All About Barry Manilow's sex life. The article is four pages long. This continues next week with more goodies on your sex life. I'm pretty sure Scott Nevins is  a part of this. No doubt he is said Marc. I'm having one of your general lawyers Jack Mc Coy look into this said Marc. Since Garry still lives out on the west coast I have him checking his sources too. Thanks Marc said Barry. Once we have all the information we'll proceed from there. Thanks again Marc for letting me know going on said Barry. Just what I need Suzie Q.  talking to The National Enquirer about my being gay which I'm not. I've always been straight. Garry and I were never in a relationship. Our relationship has been from day one a working relationship. He was my manager from nineteen eight to two thousand  five. Then he retired Gave Stiletto Entertainment to his daughter Kristen Kief. Garry decided Kristen need to concentrate on Stiletto Entertainment only. So told Marc Hulett he was going to take over as my new manager. David Taylor is my new personal assistant. Garry is remarried and living in northern California. The famed wine country Napa Valley. He lives close to my songwriting partner Adrienne Anderson.  She might be trying to make it look like you've hooked up with Scott Nevins for a very long time said Carly. You know Scott Nevins has the major hot's for you. Plus you remember what he did last year. He tried to ruin our wedding. After he got out of jail he came up to Montreal to ruin our honeymoon. Yes he tried to do that said Barry. However he failed badly said Barry. We need a few things said Barry. Ice cream being one of them. They headed  to the Brooklyn Fare grocery store to pick up a copy of the National Enquirer. While they were in there they picked up four pints of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. They got Chunky Monkey, Cherry Garcia, Chocolate  Chip Cookie Dough and Barry's Coco Banana Crunch. Barry's Coco Banana Crunch was Ben and Jerry's newest flavor. It consisted of coconut flavored ice cream with banana chunks, chocolate chunks and macadamia nut pieces. So finally Barry Manilow had his own Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor.  They also picked up some nachos, potato chips, salsa and dip. They then headed home. Once home Barry got a phone call from the Verizon store telling him his iPhone seven was defective. Who was that calling asked Carly. It was the Verizon store calling to tell me my iPhone 7  was defective said Barry. So that means I'll need to get a new cell phone. The guy at Verizon said my new cell phone whatever brand I pick will be free. Even if I pick a different cell phone brand. I had an iPhone 3 when they came out said Carly however mine exploded and was ruined.  I never bought another iPhone again. I've had Samsung cell phones ever since. I was due for a new cell phone last month.  I got the latest Samsung Galaxy Note  6 Edge. I like the Samsung brands much better than I did the iPhones. Oh you do said Barry I may have to go check them out.

Facebook Message October 23, 2016

Hi Gang,
It's me Barry. Go checkout my Facts About Me it's a new add on to my Facebook page. The Facts About Me is  fifty seven thing you may or may not know about me. What else is new you might ask? Well there is the up coming Let Freedom Ring Benefit concert on November eleventh Veteran's Day at Madison Square Garden. I'm the guy behind this benefit for our American military men and women. Now so  I've gotten an Ok I'll preform from the following artists.  Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Carly Simon, Carole King, Santana, Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Dave Koz, Melissa Manchester, Kenny G., Brian Murphy and myself. I asked Bette Midler to take part in this however she thought this was for Republican Donald Trump. The election is on November eighth and this is after the election. This is a benefit concert for the Wounded Warriors Project and American Vetdogs. Our American veterans need our help. These are two charities that I support. My father-in-law John Simon was a veterinarian in the Korean war. After he came back from Korea he went to work at the Bronx Zoo. He worked his way up to the head of their veterinary  department. He is now retired and my wife Carly has her dads old position at the zoo. Her dad also helped the doctors who took care of the wounded service men and women. I am a very proud American. The American flag flies on a poll that's attached to my house. I stand for the pledge of allegiance when it is said. When the national anthem is sung I sing along. That is why I wanted to do this Let Freedom Ring Benefit. To give back to the men and women who served our country in the military. American Vetdogs helps get service men and women with PTSD get a service dog that can help them when they are scared and lonely. I'm working on getting a few more recording artists to join in this benefit. One of the artists  I want to get is Art Garfunkle. I'm asking him to be a part of this so he and Paul Simon will sing their song Sounds Of Silence. That's one of my favorite songs. Each and every recording artist will get five hundred tickets for their fan clubs to sell. My five hundred tickets will go on sale this Friday October twenty ninth at ten am eastern time. You can also get tickets thru tickmaster and the Madison Square Garden box office on Monday October thirty first. There will be merchandise that will be on sale at the show. Let Freedom Ring tee shirts,  hoodie, keychain,  license plate cover and a bumper sticker.  Now  for those of you who can't go or don't get tickets to this benefit The three hour concert will be broadcasted live on November eleventh  on PBS from eight pm to eleven pm. Then it will be shown again between twelve am to three am. And yes I'm going to put this three hour benefit concert out as a two disc set CD and DVD. Gladys Pinch who used to be the BMIFC membership coordinator is the new BMIFC director. Starting next year there will be some new stuff. One is the new Barry Net homepage. Two is my new website with links to my Facebook, Manilow Music Radio Station, Manilow TV and my Twitter account. Two the Barry Grams will go online next year. The online Barry Grams will come out four times a year in March, June, September and December. The Barry Grams will be published and edited by me. How can I Barry Manilow do that? You might ask. Well I have my Mac Book Pro with me at all times.  The only times I 'm not on it is when I'm in  one of the bathrooms or the bedroom at home. Or the men's room when I'm not at home. Other than those three places I have my Mac Book Pro with me. Now on Monday October thirty first  there will be two streaming to audio clips up on my Facebook page. One is a song called Come Meet Eddie. Eddie is the new elevator operator at the Mayflower. The other is a new romantic version of Keep Each other Warm. Now you have my permission to download both songs. Then there's the Canadian Tour in March along with the BMIFC's Weekend In Canada weekend. The summer outdoor venue tour. The BMIFC Denver Convention. Along with the Keep Each Other Warm love song album coming out on Valentines Day February fourteenth. That's a Monday gang. Until the next time.
Love,
Barry

Barry and Carly's Furry Family

Barry and Carly's furry family members. Barry's two dogs Max a four year old yellow Labrador Retriever and Bialy a three month old Weimaraner. Carly's two dogs Lily a five month Vizsla and Abbey a two month Weimaraner. Max was in training to be a guide dog. However he has a physical health issue that prevents him from becoming a guide dog. Bialy who is the sister to Carly's dog Abbey. Lily was found by the Brooklyn ASPCA. She had bee left behind by her owners. She was under weight and had mange. The Brooklyn ASPCA was very over crowded. So they gave her to the Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition. Barry saw Lily and he knew that Carly's dog Abbey needed a playmate. So he adopted Lily for Carly.

I don't discuss politics

I don't discuss politics said Barry to Garry. I heard Suzie Q's. been telling everyone she knows that I'm a Democrat. Brian Murphy told me Suzie Q. wishes you were still living in Palm Springs said Garry. That's so you could do the fund raiser this coming Saturday for Hillary Clinton. Brian did mention he's doing the fund raiser with Suzie Q. on Saturday. He also told me Scott Nevins is the master of ceremonies for the fund raiser. It's a thousand dollars a plate said Garry. Makes me glad I don't live out there any more said Barry. Also because I saw online California maybe in for a major earthquake said Barry. Suzie Q. hated the fact I moved back east. I don't since I spend more time in New York City working on Broadway shows. I needed to be back in New York City more than I needed to be in Palm Springs. Besides I'm three blocks from the nearest subway stop that takes me  directly into Manhattan. Carly doesn't have to give up her job as head veterinarian at the Bronx Zoo. We're close to all sorts of shops.  Just up the street is this new place called the Brooklyn Bagels. It's a bagel place started by two Jewish guys. They do both bagels and bialys in all sorts of flavors.  Adam and Jake who own the Brooklyn Bagels said they'll gladly sell my Manilow's coffee there. Manilow's coffee? said Garry. Yes said Barry Manilow coffee. Brian Culbertson,  Kenny G. Michael Lington and Dave Koz have been bugging me to do my own wine. While I do drink wine I'm more of a coffee drinker said Barry. I decided to start my own coffee brand. I sent you a package with some Manilow's coffee. I sent you regular roast, dark roast and espresso roast. At the beginning of December we're putting out our regular, dark and espresso roasts in decaf form. We're close to the Brooklyn Bowl. It's a bowling alley that serves the best fried chicken in Brooklyn. There's Broadway theatres, jazz clubs, Lincoln center, Central Park Coney Island and ETC. Also we can take a drive out on Long Island. Then we have Amtrak, JFK and LaGuardia if we want to head out of town. Like we did last year when we went to Montreal/Quebec for our honeymoon by Amtrak. Then Thanksgiving when we went to New Orleans also by Amtrak. It's good to back in my home borough of Brooklyn NY. I just sent Governor Cuomo a song for a revamp of the "I Love New York." jungle. I did the jingle last week with my backup singers. Billy Kidd, Kion Harris, Dana Stevens and Shelly Greco. I put in a saxophone solo for Billy Kidd's wife Dana Robbins.  Carly finally got her new doggie said Barry. She had to wait till she was old enough to leave her mom. The dog's name is Abbey and she is a Weimaraner. Abbey's a taupe color with baby blue eyes. Then while I was in London Maggie got very sick. Carly took her to Dr. Bridges our veterinarian. Dr. Bridges did a battery of tests on Maggie and found out that she had advanced liver cancer. She was given only two months to live but she made it to three months. Did you get yourself another Labrador Retriever? asked Garry. No I did not. Our next door neighbors Matt and Kelsey Nicks have a pair of Weimaraners.  Calvin and Coco. Coco had litter of puppies in late May. Four boys and two girls. The four boys went first.  So Carly got the older  of the two girls. Then  I took the younger of the two girls. And that how we got our two new doggies Abbey and Bialy.  Carly saw Brian Murphy's fans mentioning his luggage choice was Tumi. That is one of the non fashion designer luggage names that's very expensive. I had to buy some new luggage before I went over to London this summer. My old stuff was beat up really bad.  Travelpro luggage is the brand I use. I have a twenty six inch suitcase, a suit bag for my suits and jackets. Plus my carry on bag for my note book computer, legal note pad, book to read, pencils, pens and ear buds.  My Travelpro is in black. Then Carly has a twenty six inch suitcase and a carry on bag for her stuff. She has the suitcase and carry on in the blue color. Next Friday October fourteenth we're leaving for Denver via Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited from New York. It goes to Chicago. Then we're taking the   California Zephyr from Chicago to Denver. We are staying Sunday the sixteenth thru Saturday the twenty second. We leave Saturday the twenty second and get into Chicago on Sunday the twenty third. Leave Chicago the twenty third and get back to New York City on Monday the twenty fourth. We're there for some R and R. Plus I'm going to check out the Sheraton Downtown Denver hotel. That's where next years BMIFC convention is taking place. The convention is Wednesday July fifth thru Sunday July ninth. I'm doing three nights Friday July seventh, Saturday July eighth and Sunday July ninth at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Convention goers will get tickets to all three concerts at Red Rocks. Carly told me that  fans were upset because we're not having a formal sit down dinner during the convention. That's because on Friday  July the seventh we're going to Red Rocks earlier for a barbecue. Hot dogs, hamburgers and all the usual barbecue fixings. Then after the concert I got  the ok for us to stay later , That's so we can have a bonfire and toast marshmallows. Graham crackers, toasted marshmallow and Hershey's chocolate bar makes good s'mores. I can see us doing a three part round to Copacabana. I went over to my Facebook page to tell the fans about the barbecue instead of the sit down dinner. I let them know I was still going to eat dinner with them on Friday night. Fans loved that idea a lot. What they don't know is that I'll be coming to Wednesday nights meat and greet cocktail party. That's going to be outside by the swimming pool said Barry. Now we will be in Denver on Suzie Q's. birthday. That's another thing Suzie Q. won't be to happy about. Brian told me last week that Suzie Q. was hoping I was coming out to Palm Springs for her seventieth birthday. I basically ignore her said Barry. Also someone called me today about the Donald Trump Billy Bush Access Hollywood tape. They wanted to know what I thought of that tape. I told the person who called me that I don't discuss politics. Also I told them I never in my entire career did interviews with Access Hollywood, E News!, ET, Extra, Insider Showbiz Tonight and TMZ. They're either half hour or one hour tabloid TV programs. They're as bad as the Examiner, Globe, In Touch, Life  & Style, National Enquirer, OK,  Star  and US tabloid magazines. And I don't talk to any of them period! Now I have done interviews with Billboard, Cashbox, Keyboard, Details, G.Q. People, Rolling   Stone, Time and Newsweek. In fact I'm on the cover of the October issue of Keyboard magazine. I did a three page interview with them. I got together with Yamaha to create my own piano. Just like Elton John's red Yamaha grand piano. Mine is a Yamaha Avant Grand N3 piano. Keyboard Magazine has a contest in the October issue. You can win my Yamaha Avant Grand N3 piano autographed by me. Then this morning while I was over on Facebook. Someone took Freddie Said from Here At The Mayflower and posted it on Facebook with the caption "This One's For Hillary." I got a huge chuckle out of that. Since a lot of the people she knows have died. Underneath the post was a comment by Suzie Q. saying she didn't find that at all funny. Garry I've got three cold wet noses that are looking at me to get outside. So I'll let you go. Bye for now Barry said. Talk to you soon said Garry.

Everyone I'm Back

Hi everyone I'm back. Kevin and Amy Jackson's renewal vows were wonderful. Amy looked oh so beautiful in her tea length pale cream dress. Her sister Christy was her matron of honor. Ken's best man was his brother Andrew. The ceremony was held on one of the beaches in Malibu. There is a restaurant in Malibu that over looks the pacific where they had their reception. The wedding cake was a white cake with raspberry filling and whip cream frosting. I see Carly got you up to speed on the latest 411. While I was out in LA someone said they heard I was endorsing the democrat candidate  for president. I told the person I'm not endorsing anyone for president. I'm not a political person. Nor is politics my thing. Making music and Broadway theatre is. When I go on Facebook it's to post stuff on my page, read the stuff you guys post. Check on the Facebook pages I do follow. Some were ones recommended by Carly. Ray Charles the Golden Retriever, Sunny Blue the Golden Retriever,  Zoe the seeing eye dog and Harlow and Sage. I follow Guiding Eyes For The Blind, America Vetdogs and BARC. I follow Broadway.com, Broadway World, Playbill and Theatre Mania. All my friends in the music business Eddie Arkin, Kenny G., Kevin Jackson, Billy Kidd, Dave Koz, Mike Lent, Michael Lington, Melissa Manchester, Joey Melotti, Bette Midler, Brian Murphy, Ron Pedley, Dana Robbins,
David Rosenblat and Dionne Warwick. Just so you all know I've never ever followed Suzie Q? on Facebook. She has sent me a few friends requests which I have denied. I have much better things to do than to read her drivel on Facebook. All about her hormone therapy stuff and ETC, Plus she still swears that I am gay and that Carly is my beard. Boy is she dead wrong on both accounts. Gees I'm a happily married man.  Hey Carly if you read the post I Love You forever and always. Yes it was "To have and to hold from this day forward for better for worse for richer for poorer  in sickness in health to love and to cherish as long as we both shall live." Even though we were married in an orthodox
Jewish wedding ceremony. I signed the Ketubah before the actual ceremony. I then went up to the front with my cousins Olivia and Dennis. I stood under the chuppah turned around to watch Carly walk down the aisle with her parents. We recited the orthodox Jewish wedding vows. Then we each took a drink of wine from the glass. The rabbi finished the wine wrapped the glass in a hankie placed it on the floor. I busted the hankie cover glass with my foot and everyone yelled Mozel Tov.  Mozel Tov means good luck in Hebrew. I know Suzie Q. wishes I was with Scott Nevins instead of Carly. Scott would love nothing better than to be my life partner and to be married to me. Well that's never
ever going to happen since I'm not gay nor am I interested in men. That was one of reasons I moved back to New York City. To get away from Scott and Suzie Q. pestering me. Beside the fact that I spent more time here than I did in Palm Springs. Beats me why I moved to LA then to Palm Springs in the first place. All my Broadway friends kept saying "Barry your making a big mistake moving out west. You'll come to regret it later. Which I did  come to regret back in two thousand seven. That's why I started house hunting back in my old stomping grounds of Brooklyn in two thousand eight. Tomas Sanchez my realtor found me the townhouse on Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights where I now live. It has everything I wanted.  A garden floor with family room, small kitchen, half bath and Carly's computer room. Parlor floor half bath, living room, dinning room, big kitchen and coat closet. First floor master suite floor bedroom and bathroom. Second floor two guest bedrooms, bathroom with tub and laundry room. Third floor which is my at home songwriting, recording studio, home office, kitchenette and half bath. Closet space for dog food and treats and all our other stuff. A nice sized back yard for Max, Bailey and Bialy our Labrador Retrievers. Easy access to the subway that can take us into Manhattan. Also easy access for Carly to get to the zoo from our house. We're not to far from the Brooklyn Bowl where we can go bowling and eat their fried chicken. It is so good to be back in my hometown of Brooklyn. Moving on did  Carly mention the question about your favorite Broadway song that wasn't on my nineteen ninety one Showstoppers album? Well put your thinking caps on and  start thinking guys. Why? 'cause Showstoppers II will become a reality in the very near future. Ok Aussie and New Zealanders get ready because I'm heading down under in two thousand eighteen. That's June two thousand eighteen to exact. While I'm down under the BMIFC and I are planning a convention Melbourne. It will take place from Wednesday June fourteen thru Sunday June seventeen. There will be two concerts included in the convention price. I'm doing two concerts while in Melbourne Saturday June sixteenth and Sunday June seventeenth. So guess what Aussie and New Zealanders you'll get to help me celebrate my seventy fifth birthday. BMIFC director Alicia Galay and I are thinking up some cool stuff to do during the convention.  Australian cities Perth, Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. New Zealand Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. The Australian and New Zealand tour schedule will be up in June of next year. Then July of next year is when the convention itinerary will be posted. The tour schedule will be under the concerts section of my Facebook page Also on the Barry Net under concert schedule. The convention itinerary will be up on the convention of my Facebook page. Plus on the Barry Net under up and coming conventions. So far there's the Weekend In Canada March two thousand seventeen. The Denver convention June two thousand seventeen. Then the Melbourne convention in June two thousand eighteen. Kevin my co-producer got the crazy idea I should sing Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport while I'm down under. I told him I'd look into the lyrics. We  shall see about that guys. I'm in the middle of working on my coffee table book. The running title for right now is "Barry Manilow All Around The World." It's going to be a book filled with photos of my adventures since nineteen eighty four when I started touring as a recording artist. Yes there will be some never before seen photos of me and the people who toured with me. I'm shooting for sometime in early two thousand eighteen.  Also you can go check the tour section of my Facebook page. Tickets for my NYE in NYC at RCMH go on sale this Friday September twenty third at ten am eastern time. Also going on sale on Friday December twenty third is the tickets for the BMIFC NYE party on Saturday December thirty first. Prior to the concert at Radio City Music Hall there will be a formal sit down dinner. Oh and yes I'll be there to dine with everyone. Then after the concert we'll have our New Years Eve party. I'll be there for that too. I also looked into hotel rooms at the Grand Hyatt Hotel for fans coming to New York City for the Radio City concerts. I was able to get a the rate of one hundred twenty five per night per room. So that's  one hundred twenty five for one person. Sixty two fifty for two people. Forty one seventy for three people. Thirty one twenty five for four people. That's per night for each person. Then on October tenth starting at ten am eastern time  you will be able to signup for the Weekend In Canada. October twelfth at ten am eastern time is when tickets will go on sale for the Canadian shows. Remember I'm always open to new idea. Oh and one other surprise before I let you go. I'm doing a video called The Making Of Here At The Mayflower. Back in two thousand one when I went into the recording studio to record Here At The Mayflower I video taped the recording sessions. That's what I did in April and May when I recorded Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) That will come out with Here At The Mayflower II (Many more stories inside.) CD on November thirteenth.
